Video: CPAC Racist Rap

Conservative comedy
Wingnuts • Views: 39,114

Yet another jaw-dropping moment from CPAC, as right wing “comedians” Steven Crowder and Chris Loesch perform an absolutely nauseating “rap” song, wearing “founding fathers” powdered wigs. And don’t miss what happens at about the 2 minute mark, as an African American walks out.

Yes, they’re yelling the N word, pretending they’re saying “knickers.”

Right wing humor.

-... knickers
*scratch sound*
- I can say knickers because I wear knickers!

Conservative humor :/

This is their idea of humor/entertainment? No wonder why young people won't vote for them.

Does anyone know who the gentleman who walked out was?

Is he OK?

CPAC=Caucasian People Acting Crazy.

I think Caucasian People Acting Crazy will be one of the subtexts written about in history books about Barack Obama's historic 8 year presidency.

I only lasted two seconds with the video. Listening to a new CD by these two Swedish sisters with a very folkish sound. Good stuff.

He did the right thing. He walked out before he punched somebody. I'm sure he's in shock and his BP is slightly elevated.

Is there any way I can publicly renounce my whiteness and become an honorary black person? Something like a reverse racial draft?

I've gone on a little bit of an Itunes bender recently. So I've been working through Judy Collins' second album, Laura Nyro's second, Neil Young's Canterbury House, Cactology (basically all the studio releases from Cactus, including singles), and a Ten Years After anthology that FINALLY has the uncut Woodstock version of Goin' Home on it.

There's that optimistic Reagan feel they're always droning on about.
Awkward: Fox News contributor debuts rap video at CPAC

Reached for comment by Raw Story, Crowder explained they just wanted to try out “something that Conservatives haven’t done before.”

And now, it seems, the world knows why.

“With all this money afly you gon’ be needin’ a big freeze / I hate the size of the fed like Jesus hated the fig tree / As spending goes up, you gotta borrow some more / Borrowin’ from the chinese, Oh My lord,” they say over a beat. “Instead you just tax more, increasin’ the size / Of the federal government yeah to George’s surprise / You’ll be done like Detroit man, no You ain’t comin’ back / Forget it, I’m out, I’m muzzle loading my gat.”

Nearing the end of the song, the beat drops out after the two use the word “knickers” as if it were a racial epitaph, drawing laughs from the conservatives in attendance.

“What? Knickers? I can say knickers!” they exclaim.

Right after the pair dropped the k-word, the video shows what appears to be the only black person in the room standing up and walking away.

It is interesting. The dude looks like he's working for the hotel with the name tag and uniform. He had to be in on the gag. The timing was too perfect and that situation would have ended very differently if he wasn't part of the show.

I like John Cole and we will take up the issue of allowing him to join us at our next super secret meeting. We do occasionally hand out Honorary Black Cards. I understand he's single so he may want to consider marrying a black lady. If Robert DiNero ever asked we would give him an Honorary Black Card in a heartbeat. These cards will not be helpful at all when encountering the police or catching a cab so there is a trade off.

Why would they? They think everything is okey dokey. To me this hypothesis doesn't make much sense because a black man (apparently) recording something and then calmly going away is not a plausible purposeful part of an entertainment show. He adds nothing.

Far too many knickers in America anyway. We need to take our country back. What else should we expect from a food stamp president. Our four fathers never intended for this thing to take place. When the constitution was written these people were not even human. We need to stand up for our liberty and take our country back. This isn't the right spirit.

Definitely not. That's why I think the black guy probably thought he was doing a bit for a comedy festival or something. Most Americans probably have no idea what cpac is. The guy was probably just working the event and didn't know what it was.

91 What, me worry?  Fri, Feb 10, 2012 6:55:02pm

Did someone mention it? The fellow that walked out appears to unplug the music which I thought was awesome, whether he worked for them or not.

Even more surprising, but terribly sad, is that no one followed him.

If the walk-out was staged, that's actually worse. It takes away any excuse that they meant to say "knickers," and makes it very clear that they intended to deliberately use a racist slur they knew would be offensive.

Yes--the studio take makes that certain. They relied on the inevitable fusion of the words. This demonstrates again that the evil is not in words, but in context and intent.

I applaud the NCPPR staff and supporters for your commitment to educating Americans on... issues that are essential to our Nation’s prosperity and security. For 20 years, you have remained steadfast in your efforts to advance the cause of individual freedom in the United States.

-President George W. Bush

The National Center for Public Policy Research provides a unique and valuable service to the American people and to our nation's leaders... Particularly valuable are the studies that have proven the adverse impact of burdensome regulations and disproportionately high taxes on enterprises and individuals, especially on minorities and start-up businesses.

-Senator George Allen

I think those guys are brave and courageous… They’ve got guts.
-Rush Limbaugh, referring to Project 21

Competent self-governance requires an educated citizenry. By providing tens of millions of Americans with facts about breaking issues and supplying a policy perspective rooted in the views of our Founders, The National Center for Public Policy Research helps make our democracy work.

-Ambassador Alan Keyes

The National Center is changing public opinion -- providing Americans with a conservative response to the latest news and policy issues.

-Colonel Oliver North

A good run, a cup of coffee, and the NCPPR… that's how I start my day.
-Michael Reagan

Not a theatre/performance art person, but---it seems to me that harsh insult comedy works better when the comedian strikes equally at a whole bunch of different groups and/or can mock themselves--Chris Rock and Lisa Lampanelli being good examples.

What characterizes the humor of Coulter, et al, is mocking the same people for the same reasons consistently, and having no sense of self-reflective humor.

Virginia senate passes bill allowing state adoption agencies to deny adoptions to people deemed objectionable for religious reasons

Federal law prohibits discrimination by race, national origin and religion. Virginia law allows adoption to married couples and single adults — gay or straight — but does not extend to gay couples.

McWaters said the bill doesn't change who can and who cannot adopt children in Virginia. Instead, he said, it preserves the rights of faith-based organizations to carry out their services without violating the tenets of their religious beliefs.

But critics say the current regulations allow faith-based adoption agencies — which account for more than half of the 80 placement agencies that receive state funding — to discriminate against gay children or a prospective gay parent if their lifestyle conflicts with the religious beliefs of the organization.

Further, they argued that the legislation would sanction an even broader and arbitrary discrimination, because it potentially allows any private placement agency licensed by the state to make up its own changing set of discriminatory rules in administration of services.

I can see these guys thinking it's HIGH-larious that the black guy walks out, giving them an opportunity to go "I can say knickers! Can't I? Heheheh!" dramatically.

I'm not sure that's what happened, but I actually have no doubt that people weird enough to do this show (and that gag) would think it added to their schtick.

I think it was staged and I think that makes it worse on several levels,

For one thing, involving black people in racist performances like this - getting them to collude in their own oppression - validates the racist's view of them as people with no integrity.
