CNN’s Dana Loesch: ‘Don’t Get an Abortion and You Don’t Have to Worry About Ultrasound’

Loesch lets the right wing cat out of the bag
Wingnuts • Views: 34,561

CNN contributor and Andrew Breitbart editor Dana Loesch continues her ridiculous attempts to spin the right wing ultrasound initiative in Virginia, with a post in which she reveals the true agenda behind the bill: Progressives Struggle to Understand Cause and Effect.

The article consists mostly of the usual wingnut whining about being persecuted and “silenced” (which means having her own words quoted back at her), but here’s the real money quote:

Don’t get an abortion and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated ultrasound.

That, in a nutshell, is the sole reason for any of these ultrasound bills — they’re intended to make it more difficult, more expensive, more intrusive, and as humiliating as possible for women to choose to have an abortion. It’s all about shaming the harlots, and the tool they’re using in this case is state-sanctioned rape.

I want to thank Dana Loesch for finally coming clean about this.

UPDATE at 2/20/12 1:47:42 pm

And once again, Dana Loesch responds on Twitter by blatantly lying:

Just for the record, I have never written a single word about Dana Loesch’s sex life, either at LGF or anywhere else.

Might as well take this to its illogical conclusion. Don't get an (illegal) abortion and you won't have to worry about going to jail!

8 Lidane  Mon, Feb 20, 2012 1:18:03pm

Dana Loesch logic:

Don’t get a driver's license and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated speed limits or traffic laws.

Don’t fly anywhere and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated airport security screenings.

Don’t get a gun and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated gun laws.

Don’t start a business and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated workplace laws.

Don’t get a job and you don’t have to worry about any sort of mandated income taxes.

And so on.

I have a similar reaction, but then, why? If I don't expect men to automatically have sympathy for a man trying to find a job so he can support his family, why should I expect a woman to have concerns for women's health? Just because it's biological?

People who don't put themselves in someone else's shoes just don't. And not everyone is raised by Reb Saunders from "The Chosen". (That could be good, or bad.)

Dunno, but I live in a neighborhood where people put spoilers and spinners on Toyota Corollas, and occasionally on station wagons, so I really don't doubt that people somewhere are putting gun racks on theirs.

(In my neighborhood, the guns stay under the seat, or in the glove compartment.)

Santorum defends World War II 2012 election comparison

During an event in Cumming, Ga., on Sunday evening, he discussed Americans' uncertainty about entering the war because they hoped Hitler might not be as dangerous as they feared.

"We're a hopeful people," Santorum said. "We think, 'Well, you know it'll get better. Yeah, he's a nice guy. I mean, it won't be near as bad as what we think. This will be okay.' I mean, yeah, maybe he's not the best guy after a while, after a while you find out some things about this guy over in Europe who's not so good of a guy after all. You know what, why do we need to be involved?" Santorum said.

Americans need to get involved in the upcoming election, he said, in the same way they needed to get involved in fighting Hitler in World War II.

"So with the optimistic spirit of America, sometimes, sometimes it's not okay. It'll be harder for this generation to figure it out. There's no cataclysmic event," he said.

Entering what war, you asshole?

Same here. I don't read them regularly and they seem slightly liberal. Just did a quick bit of checking up on Kamiya makes it look like he's a little more *ahem* opinionated. An article he wrote in 2007:

Can American Jews unplug the Israel lobby?
As Bush's unbalanced Mideast policies careen from disaster to disaster, people who don't toe the AIPAC line are beginning to speak out.

[...] One of the most trenchant commentators is Philip Weiss, a regular contributor to the Nation. Weiss’ blog, MondoWeiss, offers informed and passionate discussions of what he calls “delicate and controversial matters surrounding American Jewish identity and Israel.” He routinely skewers attempts by mainstream Jewish organizations and pundits to lay down the law on what is acceptable discourse. This means being willing to look at off-limits subjects like “dual loyalty.” When the American Jewish Committee, a powerful advocacy group that shares AIPAC’S line, issued a reactionary response to the Mearsheimer-Walt piece and the Carter book, accusing Jewish intellectuals who didn’t toe the party line on Israel of being “self-haters,” Weiss pointed out that the heavy-handed attempt had backfired — instead of silencing dissenting voices, the AJC piece revealed for all to see the “anti-intellectual, vicious, omerta practices of the Jewish leadership.” [...]
