Here’s Virginia Republican State Delegate David Albo, describing how his support for the GOP’s slut-shaming uterus inspection bill cost him a night of sweet, sweet right-wing lovin’ with his wife. And he had her all warmed up, too; turned on the Redskins channel and everything.

Notice how he’s unable to say “trans-vaginal,” apparently thinking it’s a dirty word. Instead he repeats “trans-V” over and over. Good grief.

Years ago, I got a voice mail message from a recruiter who wanted to set up a job interview. She left her number and said her name was "Vagina." No matter how many times I listened to that message, the name did not sound like anything other than "Vagina." It didn't help that she had a very thick Indian accent which is difficult to understand even under normal circumstances.

So I bit the bullet, called the number and asked for "Vagina." And she came to the phone!

I asked how she spelled her name.

I do recall a friend a year behind me in high school laughing uncharitably at a young man who had done a presentation in her English class and could not bring himself to say either 'rape' or 'sex'. He settled on S-E-X.
