Fox News Commenters React to Trayvon Martin: ‘Good Shot Zimmy’

Stupid evil racists post a deluge of hateful comments
Wingnuts • Views: 142,068

I don’t even know what to say about this any more; the comments about Trayvon Martin at Fox News are just unbelievable.

Here’s the article: Department of Justice Opens Investigation Into Case of Black Teenager Killed by Neighborhood Watch Captain | Fox News.

This opens the door for more than 3,000 comments from the Fox News audience, packed with whiny right wing victimhood and overt racism. Again.

What a shame—a tragedy, really— because the dead lil’ gangsta could’ve used “‘A-FIRM-TIV AK-SHUN” to go to kollige an play footballz and make lotsa cash munny!”

[…]

Fast and Furious didn’t work to pass new gun control so now Eric Holder will try the race card.

[…]

No matter how crime figures are massaged by those who want to acknowledge or dispute the existence of a Dirty War, there is nothing ambiguous about what the official statistics portray: for the past 45 years a large segment of bIack America has waged a war of v i o l e n t retribution against white America.

[…]

Zimmerman was attacked by the man and defended himself with a gun. Zimmerman’s wounds were verified by police.

[…]

17 = child. LOL!!!!!!

Let the LIB word games begin.

[…]

Yet the “justice department” refuses to prosecute any voter intimidation that involves a blac k as the intimidator.

[…]

Why should anyone care about this kid? Because he is of color? People don’t value kids period. They are property. BTW, I am a conservative that cares a great deal about kids. We follow hundreds of cases each year, many white babies and children, none of them get attention. But he does??

[…]

Zimmerman felt threatened by Martin’s gang’s actions…this could have possibly lead to these terrible circumstances. Gang violence MUST BE STOPPED OBAMA!

[…]

Blacks can do no wrong, period! That is the DOJ’s excuse for becoming involved. 50+ years of being told they are special and entitled and the gov’t’s only focus is to make it so!!

[…]

In any event, it appears to be a case of one sc u m bag Cuban-type (Zimmerman) offing some scummy b l a ck kid (Trayyy-Vonnnn)…in some trash neighborhood….

but now, because the dead kid’s a kneegrow, we have:

the BIG BAD FBI on this “important” case…and

the usual BLACK-RADICAL-PROTESTERS who can’t mind their own business!

[…]

Gated communities exist because people are afraid….& negros thrive on crime…Look at our prisons.

[…]

Need that too….But Negr0s only have their welfare checks….and in any event can’t follow rules

[…]

What time do the riots start? Gotta get my popcorn and munchies ready for the “hood” burning!

[…]

Funny you never see them rally against the drug dealing murderers that control their neighborhoods. LOL!!!

[…]

How does anyone know what this 17 yr old said, Most likely he threw the race card out ” you stop me because I*M B L ACK” and then became threatning. The media alway plants the seed of doubt when when a B l ac k is sh ot by a caucasian

[…]

maybe his gang brothers incited violence too?

[…]

How’d the kid get into the “gated” community in the first place?

[…]

Them monkeys can jump!

[…]

This is going to be a tough case. gang violence is hard to prosecute. martin’s gang may even want to retaliate. this is scary

[…]

Let’s find out why the “po’ baby” was REALLY there!

[…]

The little thug ghetto monkey should have been home doing his homework, not out gang bangin.

[…]

I’m just glad Zimmerman didnt miss and hit an innocent bystander.

[…]

THIS IS PURE RACIST!! When do you ever see the DOJ investigate the death of a white child??

[…]

This is pure B.S I want to see the kids police record even if something is expounged also why was he removed from facebook it says account terminated. Why because his parents are trying to cover his tracks just like if you hit a bus they see Dollar signs.People have dragged data about Zimmerman out where is the kids past.Don’t say he was a good boy prove it.Ask yourself what is more likely to happen any 17 year old kid when you ask a question.A smartass reply I have never and I mean never seen a teenager run unless he did something wrong.I guess no crinimal has ever cased a place when they went to a store. It takes me aback the way all these facts are quoted by people who read one story on a issue.

[…]

Who says his gang wasn’t hiding near by?

[…]

he could be a good kid, but being in a gang doesn’t help his case

[…]

An unfortunate death, but when will DOJ investigate the death of a Caucsasian?

[…]

Here we go again— a LOCAL law enforcement matter (no federal issues) is being hijacked by the FEDS because the alleged “victim” is bl a c k! We all KNOW this kid was up to no good and now he’s feedin’ worms. Too bad-ha ha ha!

[…]

Last night on CNN Anderson Cooper kept referring to zimmerman as white when he knew he was Hispanic I wonder why

[…]

maybe then the kid was not bIack maybe Hawaiian like tiger woods then we can say s p i c s h o o t s Hawaiian

[…]

This has Bl ack racist Holder and his all bl ack racist “DOJ Civil Rights Div” written all over it.

[…]

Crack Skittles the new disguise

[…]

Skittles actually has a couple slang meanings. Could be referring to recreational usage of Coricidin. Also refers to a male getting lipstick marks from young ladies on the member. Taste the rainbow..

[…]

You think the DOJ or main stream will report zimmerman was Hispanic not White

[…]

That is all it was — just another n i qq er. No loss

[…]

He was slinging crack.

[…]

Is tea and skittles slang for guns and crack.

[…]

Skittles is actually slang for recreational usage of Coricidin.

[…]

This is what happens when you join a gang. kids need to learn from Martin’s mistakes

[…]

They should have a hunting season in Florida for these drug crazed gang members.

[…]

This could have had a tragic outcome. His gun could have jammed. Whew!

[…]

At least he didn’t chain him to the back of his truck?!?!?

[…]

How long will it take to get all of those little blk curly nappys out of the White House bedding so that the next POTUS can sleep without that Creepy Crawly feeling .

[…]

The picture is of an innocent choir boy designed to evoke sympathy for the “victum” and justify the skewed actions of a corrupt department of justice.

[…]

the b!ack community has created a sense of fear with the excessive amounts of cr!me and v!olence and the glamorizing and glorification of cr!mes and v!olence through c rap music (term used lightly) and most are rude, crude, nasty and give others the tough guy BS attitude. You people (term also used lightly) made your beds and now have to lie in them………don’t be angry with us or blame us you did this all on your own.

[…]

Hunting, maybe thinning the herd…

[…]

It is obvious the un-civilized B!ACKS who dwell in the greatist nation on earth have never wanted to be part of the TEAM, they CRY and P!SS and MOAN at every given oportunity about fairness and equality, While lining up for the free ride at welfare.
The United States is cursed with these baboons, Who will never gain the ability to stand up and make it on their own without our help.
They are the eternal retarded stepchild , needfull and helpless until the end of time.

[…]

Now the family of the kid has lost there way out of the ghetto.

[…]

ANOTHER TOOKY WILLIAMS, ABORTED.
GOOD SHOT ZIMMY. lol

OK. That’s all I could take. But the comments like these go on and on and on — there are thousands of them. And many of the ugliest comments received numerous “likes” from other readers.

Have you heard the part of the 911 call where is sounds like Zimmerman says "f'ink coons" under his breath? Right before the dispatcher asked him if he is following the teen.

By all accounts, Trayvon Martin was a good kid. Never had legal trouble. Got A's and B's in school. Friendly and sociable with others. Played sports. All he did was walk home from the store with candy and a drink, and he ended up dead.

These Fox commenters are fucked in the head. Sickening.

I'm not sure whether these comments meet or even exceed Stormfront's standards. I'm leaning towards exceeds Stormfront in the outright racism department. Fox News surely does attract some of the lowest forms of life.

10 Kragar  Tue, Mar 20, 2012 10:44:46am

And I see the commenters are struggling between a white defending himself from invisible black gang members and blacks and hispanics both being criminals.

Nice.

14 Shiplord Kirel  Tue, Mar 20, 2012 10:47:24am

I've changed my posting name back to my registered name. "Winston Smith, Fox News Moderator" just isn't funny anymore. These people are diseased, eaten alive with media mythology and self-serving propaganda.

Imagine you're a black teenager reading this sludge. It's one thing to see it on Storm Front or a KKK site, but this is one of the largest news networks in the world and it reflects the views of the supporting base of one of the two major political parties in this country.

15 bratwurst  Tue, Mar 20, 2012 10:47:28am

I am pretty sure these commenters are focused on jobs and the economy when they are not praising the shooting of unarmed teenagers.

Between idiots who think Hispanics can't be white, rubes who think that Zimmermans are all Jewish, jaggofs who don't realize Trayvon was a few doors away from his house, and just plain racist assholes, this story has really shown some ugly ignorance afloat in the American sea.

For every black parent I've ever worked with, this is the nightmare. Your kid goes out one evening and never comes home, and no matter how good a kid he was, no matter who he was, the world says 'gang-banger' and shrugs, and whoever shot him goes free.

The nightmare became real for Trayvon's parents.

And all these assholes can do is play like the DOJ is persecuting them.

What makes me both laugh and cry is that many of those posters will claim that they're not racist. Never mind that even with a supposedly race-blind view, Zimmerman still followed, confronted, shot, and killed an unarmed young man that was just walking home from the store. Everything else aside, they're still cheering on someone for having killed a kid.

I had a friend who was a National Merit Scholar and the ASB president. He spent the last few months of high school trying really hard to get a suspension because at that point it didn't matter, and he wanted a vacation.

Principal wouldn't give him one.

28 JeffM70  Tue, Mar 20, 2012 10:55:02am

I guess the only thing that would have made this tragedy more gratifying for these troglodytes was after the hispanic shot the black man, a white officer shot the hispanic.

Ok! Slightly off topic. I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today driving to the office from the gym in my electric car (yes, I'm an enigma wrapped in a puzzle), and he announced that he was going to be giving away a "Rush" engraved new iPad to a random twitter follower for the next several days.

It would be AWESOME if one of us won a "Rush" iPad!

I wonder if this attempt to buy followers indicates a drop in ratings? I thought, despite the loss of advertisers, that he had more listeners than ever!

Santorum Says He Loses the Catholic Vote Because He Only Does 'Well among People who take their Faith Seriously'

Rios: You are doing very well among evangelicals, not so well among Catholics. I have my own theory about that, but I want to know what yours is this.

Santorum: I really wish I could tell you. I think the bottom line is that we do well among people who take their faith seriously, and as you know just like some Protestants, some Protestants are not church going, they are folks who identify with a particular religion but don’t necessarily practice that from the standpoint of going to church and the like, and I think, you know, with folks who do practice their religion more ardently I tend to do well.

Rios: I have to interrupt you, I totally agree. I think you take your faith seriously and for the serious believers, you’e the man.

Yeah, Catholics obviously don't take their religion seriously enough to vote for Rick.

Trayvon Martin’s Last Phone Call, Moments Before Tragic Death, Undermines Account Killer Gave To Police

In a cell phone call moments before his death, Trayvon Martin told a teenage girl he “was being hounded by a strange man on a cellphone who ran after him, cornered him and confronted him.” The girl recounted the call, which is confirmed by phone logs, to ABC News:

“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man,” Martin’s friend said. “I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.”

Eventually he would run, said the girl, thinking that he’d managed to escape. But suddenly the strange man was back, cornering Martin.

“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell.

Ah, professional sports, always such a boon to the local economy...

After Using Over $500 Million In Taxpayer Money To Build Sports Stadiums, Cincinnati Forced To Sell Off Local Hospital

Officials in Hamilton County, Ohio are preparing to sell off a local hospital at half its 2006 value, then raid the county’s rainy day fund, all in order to help pay for Cincinnati’s boondoggle stadium deal.

The stadium deal, struck in 1996, built separate new facilities for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and the MLB’s Cincinnati Reds, but ended up costing local taxpayers far more than initially anticipated. The final bill to the county came in at $540 million, more than double its initial budget. The Wall Street Journal called the project “one of the worst professional sports deals ever struck by a local government—soaking up unprecedented tax dollars and county resources while returning little economic benefit.”

This year, Hamilton County is facing a $1.4 million budget deficit, largely due to debts incurred from the stadium deal. As a result, county officials are taking drastic steps to cover the shortfall, including selling a physical rehabilitation hospital for far less than it’s valued and withdrawing money from their rainy day fund.

(Most "Zimmerman" are Lutheran. Jews that have this name, in fact, likely tried to make their Jewish name sound more pleasing to Americans when they emmigrated and changed it.)

It seems that the solution to problems in America, for blacks or whites, is to blame the Jews, and that's just scary.

On the 911 tapes, Zimmerman says that he is FOLLOWING Martin. The 911 operator tells Zimmerman that they "don't need you to do that". Zimmerman never says he stopped following Martin. It would appear that he continued to follow Martin. I hope this undercuts the claim of self-defense.

Since the right wing is "tough on crime", they'd be all in favor of prosecuting Zimmerman, right?

Of course not, they couldn't care less if Martin's dead, he's just another statistic to them. They only care now because the DoJ's getting involved, which they think has "politics" written all over it. If anything, they'd probably be more pissed off had Zimmerman been arrested.

I loved the Expos, but it was really a no brainer. The Expos owners ended up buying the Marlins, who easily blackmailed the Miami local government.

Extremists Go To ‘War’ In The Arizona Desert

In just the past few years alone, federal agents in Arizona have gone on a hunt for a man who claimed to have littered the desert with explosive devices. They have been told a Minuteman-style organization planned to shut down a major freeway. They have discovered a bomb planted along a known smuggling route. And more recently, a militia group has talked openly about buying a tank to combat what it calls “narco terrorism” flowing across the border.

In a way, authorities were lucky they stopped Harbin when they did. He was 150 miles north of the US-Mexico border when he was pulled over on Jan. 14, 2011, in a pickup truck near his hometown of Apache Junction, Ariz., a sleepy exurb on the far eastern edge of metropolitan Phoenix.

Harbin was an active member of the National Socialist Movement, the largest neo-Nazi group in the United States, and was known to don the organization’s full dress uniform: black pants, black shirt, swastika armband and helmet emblazoned with the white letters SS to mimic the look of Hitler’s army.

More than six months before his arrest, members of the National Socialist Movement were spotted in plain clothes at a Tea Party rally in the Phoenix suburbs, passing out fliers that called for landmines to be placed along the US-Mexico border.

“We all should be actively advocating daily to mainstream America the most humane, non-racist, fair border security plan available,” the fliers said. “Namely, A MINEFIELD!”

From all appearances, the cops tried to cover this up from the word "Go." Right. I mean, it would have been one thing if the police had handled this like they should have and it just turned out that Florida's ridiculous "stand your ground" law had prevented a successful prosecution. That would have still been outrageous, but that would be on Zimmerman and the ones that passed the law.

Five Prosecutors Who Warned Of The Law Protecting Trayvon Martin's Killer

In a 2005 interview with UPI, former prosecutor and Democratic state representative Dan Gelber warned of the bill, which he voted against:

"Two people in an altercation, that happens every day. Someone thinks you're looking at their wife the wrong way, somebody spills coffee on you, someone bumps into you, someone cuts you off, then all of a sudden they're in a fight... Do we tell those people that they're supposed to walk away or do we tell them that you're supposed to stand your ground and fight to the death?"
...
In 2006, Paul A. Logli, president of the National District Attorneys Association, said of such laws:

They're basically giving citizens more rights to use deadly force than we give police officers, and with less review.

Go to any news report where cops shoot, taze or beat down an African American and you see exactly the same comments. I was horrified to see what people wrote when Mobile police pepper sprayed and tasered a retarded deaf man (with the mind of a 10 year old) who had stomach cramps in a bathroom.

People loved it. It was sickening.

If people are going to cheer on the pepper spraying and tasering of a retarded deaf man then you know how unrestrained they'll be on the case in FL.

These are no doubt many of the same people angry about the "war on religion", that prayer isn't allowed in school, that pro-gay groups can meet on campus, etc.

I read another one this morning claiming that Trayvon was "caught shoplifting" twice. Seriously? Using that as justification for this murder?

Probably.

The fact that Zimmerman would have no way of knowing, or that lethal force isn't a fair response to shoplifting, don't matter. The pseudo-logic is that if the victim--already suspect for not being The Right Kind of Person (black, not of the neighborhood)--has any spots on their past, then it mitigates the wrongdoing of the shooter. If he's done anything wrong, ever, he had it coming.

It's probably dangerous to ascribe motives, but the stories I've read on the Martin shooting indicate that Zimmerman wanted to be a cop. He plea bargained his assault-on-a-cop charge to the point where his record was considered clean. Still, that's probably going to set off huge red flags for any type of law enforcement job Zimmerman may have wanted to pursue.

I'm not saying that Zimmerman wanted to kill Martin, but it wouldn't surprise me if his mind set was "if I can take down one of these guys they'll have to let me in."

Actually at least one Republican state legislator has said that the fact Zimmerman followed Martin contradicts an act of self-defense.

I am very, very glad to hear that. Thanks to that Republican legislator.

If our country is ever to move past this dreadful state of our politics, we need prominent people, from both the left and the right, to call out the mistakes from "their own side". I'm glad that this Republican legislator has done this on the right. I could be wrong (I hardly ever watch his show anymore), but I believe Bill Maher is a good example of calling out some excesses of the left.

Meanwhile the Daily Caller's big Breitbart-provided outrage is also a gun story.
Everyone's upset that Eric Holder thought it might be healthier if we tried to make kids feel less cool about having them:

Over the weekend, Breitbart.com discovered a 1995 CSPAN video in which Holder — then the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia — advocated using anti-smoking campaigns as a model for an anti-gun campaign.

“What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we’ve changed our attitudes about cigarettes,” Holder said.

Holder explained that he wanted to use influential figures like then-Washington, D.C. Mayor Marion Barry and the Rev. Jesse Jackson, as well as widely watched TV shows like “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Martin,” to forward his anti-gun campaign. He sought to push that same agenda through public schools as well, “every day, every school, at every level.”

re: #121 BongCrodny

It's probably dangerous to ascribe motives, but the stories I've read on the Martin shooting indicate that Zimmerman wanted to be a cop. He plea bargained his assault-on-a-cop charge to the point where his record was considered clean. Still, that's probably going to set off huge red flags for any type of law enforcement job Zimmerman may have wanted to pursue.

I'm not saying that Zimmerman wanted to kill Martin, but it wouldn't surprise me if his mind set was "if I can take down one of these guys they'll have to let me in."

Listen to the 4th of seven 911/police audio tapes here: [Link: www.huffingtonpost.com...]

are both references to the same person --the "fuckin' coons" vigilante, Zimmerman.

Tenther PA Senate Hopeful Believes Federal Highways Are Unconstitutional

ROHRER: Over time, over the last many generations, the federal government — seeking to grow, as most governments tend to grow — have become increasingly involved in activities that have been reserved to the states, being involved in such things as education, or health care, or for that matter even highways and roads. A great many things the federal government has increasingly passed laws, appropriated tax dollars which are yours and mind, and attempted to force the states to implement laws for which then the federal government essentially has control, so today we spend billions of dollars in this commonwealth in education and welfare that are put upon us, effectively, by the federal government. The states being enticed by the monies.

Later in the video, he opines that the 10th amendment “says we are a sovereign state first of all. Federal government, do not any longer tell us or entice us to go in a direction for which we cannot afford to go nor properly should go.”

NOM’s Brown Claims Gay Rights Advocates Want to Take Away Opponents’ Right to Vote

Opposition to gay marriage is not rooted in fear and hate as supporters suggest, Vander Plaats said, but rather love and religious truth. He also lashed out at the notion of “marriage equality” as a slippery slope toward no restrictions on relationships whatsoever.

“If we want marriage equality, let’s just stop for a second. Why stop at same-sex marriage? Why not have polygamy? Why not have a dad marry his son or marry his daughter? If we’re going to have marriage equality, let’s open this puppy up and let’s have marriage equality,” he said. “Otherwise, let’s stick to the way God designed it – one man and one woman, period.”

Referring to Senate Democrats’ refusal to advance the amendment and clear the way for a statewide vote, National Organization for Marriage President Brian Brown invoked Martin Luther King, Jr., to suggest that it was the opponents of same-sex marriage whose civil rights were threatened.

“We hear that this is about civil rights, and that those of us who oppose the redefinition of marriage are somehow bigots,” Brown said. “And yet, what Dr. Martin Luther King called the most important civil right – the right to vote – these very same folks are trying to deprive us of this right.”

I listened to it several times with headphones, and the only thing I'm sure about is "these fucking..." The next word is too noisy and distorted for me to be sure what it is.

It is possible that he said "coons," but I can't say it's definite.

Stand Your Ground fathers: Trayvon Martin's killer should likely be arrested, doesn't deserve immunity

The fathers of Florida’s controversial Stand Your Ground law implicated in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin say the man who shot him to death probably should be arrested and doesn’t deserve a self-defense claim of immunity.

Former state Sen. Durell Peaden and current state Rep. Dennis Baxley say the law they passed in 2005 was designed to protect citizens by giving them the right to “meet force with force.”

Both men say they don’t know all the facts of Trayvon's case. But, they say they believe the law would not allow a person like George Zimmerman to pursue and confront a person like Trayvon and then use deadly force. Zimmerman has not been charged.

“They got the goods on him. They need to prosecute whoever shot the kid,” said Peaden, a Crestview Republican who sponsored the deadly force law in 2005. “He has no protection under my law.”

Hm.

Nokia issues patent for vibrating tattoos

Cell phone company Nokia has issued a patent for a material that could be attached to human skin and would vibrate to alert the wearer of an incoming call or text message.

The Wall Street Journal reports the patent application filed by Nokia last September would create, "a material attachable to skin, the material capable of detecting a magnetic field and transferring a perceivable stimulus to the skin, wherein the perceivable stimulus relates to the magnetic field."

Better get David John Oates on the case!

If human speech is recorded and played backwards, mixed amongst the gibberish at regular intervals can be heard very clear statements. These statements usually appear in short sentence form and are nearly always related to the forward speech. It appears constantly throughout language, so much so in fact, that it is believed to be a natural part of our speech processes.

The pioneer and 20 year veteran of this field, Australian David John Oates, describes Reverse Speech as another form of human communication. He states that language is bi-level, forward and reverse. As the human brain constructs the sounds of speech, it forms those sounds in such a way that two messages are delivered simultaneously. One forwards, which is the conscious mind speaking, and the other in reverse, which is the unconscious mind speaking.

Topix isn't a black blogging site, though.

Also, take on step back and check out the "Brevard County Forum" that the specific page is posted in

(I can't see a specific poster name...or is "Brevard County Forum" a name? I can't tell.... Correcion: Brevard County Forum is an assembly of posters that share stories, if I'm perceiving this correctly) Correction of correction: Topix is an aggregator--however, the narrow band of poster and commenter names suggest this is an internet enclave that communicates, not just a sampling from all of the web.

Somebody has huge issues with Jews, as evidenced by dozens, if not a hundred out of a hundred, posts with antisemitic content and/or comments. Note: I'm not going to go through the other 4,420 with full diligence, but this is a community of posters that accept antisemitism, big-government conspiracies, Holocaust denial and general defense of Nazis, racism, homophobia, as well as believe in the "War on Christianity" and "liberals are secret Communists." A sampling--I literally can't sort them because so many contain one or more of the above:

Hate Crimes Really Jewish Insurance Scams
Is Rick Santorum a Marrano?
Bill Mick is a Communist
Jews love Obama
Are you sick of the lying Kosher Media?
Brevard pelted with Chemtrails Jan 1
Jews did Mumbai, too
Obamas Cabinet 70% Jewish 30% Non White
Schvartzers Riot in the Gay Capital
A Mengele Story
(Suggests Mengele was framed)
Jew Caught Drawing Swastikas Again
The Black Death and the Jews 1348-1349
(guess)
Camel Milk in the Ice Cream (The Jews are forcing camel milk into foods because it's kosher)
The Gifts of Alfred Kinsey (Jew) (Kinsey was influenced by Nazis and Aleister Crowley, and his work is part of the mind controlling of modern US citizens)
Inside the Mind of Behr Jew Breivik (Breivik was a Jew, or pro Jewish. The poster condemns Spencer, Geller, et al for being allies of the Jews)
The Military Wants Ron Paul (Who will save us from Jewish economic terrorism)
End the Jew Fed and the Jew Media
Jesus in the Talmud (Jews stole the Old Testament and deliberately misinterpret it)
The Muslims Jews Love (Jews have let Hindus and Muslims into the country so that they can dominate the hotel and gas station industries and help bring down America)
Occupy Sukkot on Wall Street (Occupy is full if Bolsheivik Jews! Wall Street is full of Jew crooks! Jews have religious laws that permit the bilking of Christians)

That's just a cross section of the first three pages. General themes include: all war and terrorist violence is caused by Jews, famous murderers like Loughner and Breivik are Jews, Jews engage in pedophilia and white slavery, Obama is a Jewish pawn, Jews promote homosexuality, the Holocaust was faked, everybody who isn't Christian is in league with the Jews, the Jews aren't the "real" people of the old Testament (guess who is...), blacks are also awful, everybody Tea Party is a Jewish pawn, anti Catholic statements.

There's also the ugly reaction to a post titled "Henry Ford makes up a Jewish Conspiracy" where the initial post mocks the antisemites.

These are bad crazy people, but I don't see any references whereby they can be labeled as African American--quite the contrary, a dislike of blacks is a undercurrent to the copious antisemitism.

Rick Santorum: President Obama Shouldn’t Let Daughter Go To Mexico (VIDEO)

Rick Santorum said President Obama set a bad example and potentially endangered American tourists by letting his daughter Malia go to Mexico on a spring break vacation.

Santorum told Glenn Beck that an American president should not send his own family into the area given State Department travel warnings for Mexico.

“What I would say is that the president’s actions should reflect what his administration is saying,” Santorum said in a phone interview with Beck. “If the administration is saying that it’s not safe to have people down there, then just because you can send 25 Secret Service agents doesn’t mean you should do it. You should set an example. I think that’s what presidents do. They set an example. And when the government is saying this is not safe, then you don’t set the example by sending your kids down there.”

Alaska Rep. Alan Dick (R-Dick): Women Need Paternal Permission for An Abortion

What. The. FUCK.

From the RH Reality Check version of that:

Think it couldn't happen? Ohio tried it in 2009.

Other victories include shooting down some more outrageous roadblock bills such as the "paternal consent" bill introduced by State Rep. John Adams, R-Sidney. The bill, which gained little traction in the legislature, would have required women to obtain permission from the biological father before having an abortion, and, in cases of more than one partner, the woman must provide a full list of men with whom she had sex. Women who lied about the identify of the potential father or doctors who aborted without permission from the father would be prosecuted.

The bill was shot down as too extreme. Then again, once upon a time not allowing exceptions for rape and incest victims was considered "too extreme" too, and now it's becoming the norm.

General Conditions:

Millions of U.S. citizens safely visit Mexico each year for study, tourism, and business, including more than 150,000 who cross the border every day. The Mexican government makes a considerable effort to protect U.S. citizens and other visitors to major tourist destinations, and there is no evidence that Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) have targeted U.S. visitors and residents based on their nationality. Resort areas and tourist destinations in Mexico generally do not see the levels of drug-related violence and crime reported in the border region and in areas along major trafficking routes

Fox Nation, Trolling for racist comments again:
Obama's Executive Order Authorizes Peacetime Martial Law

(Not sure why they think an AK47 illustrates the concept)

No, It’s Not Martial Law, It’s Preparedness

The Defense Production Act has been in effect since the Truman Administration, and authorizes the President to direct private business to allocate resources to national defense as needed in a time of national emergency. Since the end of the Cold War, if not before, the Act has been used primarily to use DOD contracting practices to direct investment in new technologies that would be used for defense purposes, however it still requires the Executive Branch to at least plan for the possibility of allocating resources for national defense in the event of a national emergency in much the same way that rationing was implemented during World War II. Now, fortunately, we have not faced a national emergency of that type in the 50-odd years that the DPA has been in effect but that doesn’t mean that such an eventuality, brought about by either international crisis or natural disaster, should not be planned for. Despite that it was released as part of the “Friday Document Dumps” that have become all too common in official Washington, that appears to be all that this Executive Order is about.

As for the Executive Order itself, Ed Morrissey notes that all it really appears to do is update very similar EO’s that were issued by President’s Reagan and Bush 41, and their Executive Orders appear to do nothing more than mimic Orders issued by Presidents going all the way back to Franklin Roosevelt:

What people do not know is BO is not planning on using the American military. He knows they would not go along with his demands. I have heard people saying there have been military from Russia and other communist countries quietly coming into the country so when martial law is enforced the foreign troops will follow through with the orders.

Sure, I know. I'm not saying the operator should be punished or anything, just that if you're a 911 call and you get someone saying that they're following someone, you should probably tell them not to rather than using the vague phrase 'we don't need you to do that', which might make a dude who's a wanna-be cop just more amped up. anyway, it's a minor point, just another way this tragedy might have been averted.

Doctor calls for civil disobedience of intrusive ultrasound laws

Fellow physicians, once again we are being used as tools to screw people over. This time, it’s the politicians who want to use us to implement their morally reprehensible legislation. They want to use our ultrasound machines to invade women’s bodies, and they want our hands to be at the controls. Coerced and invaded women, you have a problem with that? Blame us evil doctors. We are such deliciously silent scapegoats.

It is our responsibility, as always, to protect our patients from things that would harm them. Therefore, as physicians, it is our duty to refuse to perform a medical procedure that is not medically indicated. Any medical procedure. Whatever the pseudo-justification.

It’s time for a little old-fashioned civil disobedience.

Let me back up my contention that it's not that cut and dried. Given the big weight advantage, how do we explain his injuries? Self inflicted?

[Link: www.break.com...]

The kid was trying to get away, the girl he called said this and Zimmerman even commented to the operator "Shit, he's running." The girl Trayvon was talking to says after he asked why Zimmerman was following him and Zimmerman responded "Why are you here?" that it sounded like Trayvon's headset hit the ground. Zimmerman was clearly amped up, it's not too much of a stretch to think that he may have tackled Trayvon. It's hard to tackle someone without wearing pads and not get scuffed up in the process. At this point, assuming that Zimmerman initiated physical contact, if Trayvon fought back it was entirely justified and Zimmerman had no right to lethal self defense, having followed the kid against a clear police instruction that he verbally acknowledged.

He slowed down the playback on the third iteration, which elongates the vowel sound. There's a reason I didn't mess with pitch or timing, because that actually does perceptibly change the signal, vs. just removing noise. You're hearing the elongation not the actual signal.

I call him FTAF [Fair To A Fault], because he can be fair way beyond the point I would be, sometimes. But not all the time. If I were being accused of something bad that I didn't do, I would want him (and Obdicut) on my side.

The benefit is that when he backs up an accusation, it is very reliable position. This has real value in the real world. So my 'FTAF!' is said in jest, because there really isn't a fault involved.

As someone who owns, but does not carry a handgun, I'm bemused by how I'm supposed to discern that Random Dude With Occasional Gun isn't a threat. That they passed a open/concealed carry course is lukewarm comfort--moreso given that those courses aren't created equal.

I don't like having my life on the line, hoping that Random Person actually has some capacity for real-time recognition and reaction to threat assessment. And doesn't have anger issues. Or power issues. Or hasn't developed stress related mental issues. Et cetera.

I'm not saying he's not saying it. I"m saying the audio is unclear to me. For some bizarre reason, this makes you insist I must be lying-- even though you can't offer any explanation for why I would lie.

Everything about what he did was wrong, from targeting him in the first place, to chasing him, to confronting him, to shooting him.

Why do you think it's incumbent on me to come up with something he might have been saying, but not on you to come up with a reason why I would lie?

Illinois and the GOP's Last Stand for Common Sense

The Romneybot is probably going to win fairly big in Illinois tonight. The shoeless gomer factor is pretty low there, even downstate, and there seem to be enough sensible Republicans there to notice that, really, this Republican party nominating process has reached the B.J. Hunnicutt Stage of its run. None of the jokes are funny any more. It's been on television far too long for its own good. The problem that the Republicans have, of course, is that there is nobody in the party with the authority to pull the plug. All these stories about how "someone" is going to have to tell Newt Gingrich that it's time to go back to the lecture circuit are hilarious. At what point in his political career has anybody been able to tell the Definer Of Civilization's Rules And Leader (Perhaps) Of The Civilizing Forces anything? Santorum will continue as long as he has the money, and as long as there's a market for one anti-Romney, which will be until the year 2525, if current trends continue. The Republican National Committee designed a madhouse of a nominating process and then completely lost control of it. And the presumed nominee, and presumptive leader of the party, is deeply distrusted by the party he is presumed to lead. The basic problem with Republican politics this year — and it is one unique in my experience — is that there simply is nobody in charge of it. Nobody's "fighting over the wheel" because a bunch of nutty folks from steerage took control of the ship in 2010 and threw the wheel overboard. "A sizable number" of Americans are catching on to this basic fact. Illinois could be the first sign that the Republicans intend to do anything about that.

Or to the parents of children who happen to run near a mined area?

Someone should tell these assholes that minefields are not humane or fair. Landmines are indiscriminate weapons, harming soldier and civilian alike. Anyone who thinks they're useful is a fucking moron.

There are lots of countries that have land mines and would really like to get rid of them. So far we've been really lucky with that one. The idea that we'd start planting them for no better reason than a pathological need to see people hurt for trying to cross the border is just ridiculous.

Wouldn't stop people from trying, either.

There will always be plenty of derp filled, racist assholes who think that placing landmines along the Mexican border is a good idea. Someone needs to point them towards countries where decades after a conflict ends, people are still dying from landmines.

I suppose they see, laid out before them, a flat, clearly marked strip running the length of the border, visible in all directions, with land mines in it. Between two countries where no one ever goes driving to make out with girls, has animals wander off, goes hiking, or drives into Mexico to get the other kind of laundry detergent, except through clearly marked, heavily staffed, crossings.

Also, deer, cattle, coyotes, and heavy armadillos know not to go near the clearly marked strip.

At the end of the day,a mother has lost her son. For no other reason than someone's idiocy, lax gun laws and regulations, and a culture that rewards stupidity and violence. To hyperfocus on what Zimmerman said doesn't do a damn thing to bring any clarity to this situation at all. What does lead to clarity are the additional 911 calls from Zimmerman,to the tune of around 1 a week for a year . He laid out the same damned scenario on more than one date in different incidents. He was not part of any organized watch,he's a vigilante with an ax to grind. He assaulted a cop and still kept his gun. WTF. The cops didn't know who he was? Come ON. Whether he used the word coon or not,the additional tapes show he had issues with black teens and young men being anywhere that he could see them.

This kid was the same age as my son is now.My son is white, but he's got a disability that prevents him from reading social situations. My biggest fear is I'll get call one day that he's been hurt or killed by someone who thinks he's being an ass,or being suspicious,or they don't like the way he looks or moves. One fucking word isn't important here. What should matter about shit like this happening over and over and over again is this idiotic society of ours doesn't learn from the obvious fucking clues that are everywhere.

The answers to this issue are not simple, but you know what? The conversations need to be had about what we REALLY value and then maybe our actions should match our words. And yes,I take it fucking personal. My kid has been subjected to bullying, threats and adults have stood by and let it happen. It's e-fucking-nough already.

Navy to U.S.: Geothermal Drill Baby, Drill

The U.S. Navy has teamed up with the Department of Energy’s Sandia National Laboratory to revive decades-old technology for a high performance drill bit, only they don’t have drilling for oil or gas in mind. The drill bit, called a polycrystalline diamond compact bit, is being retested evaluated and improved to help lower the cost of drilling for geothermal energy.

The mashup of the Navy with the development of high efficiency geothermal drilling technology is a natural one, given that the Navy has been investigating geothermal energy for decades, and the Navy’s Air Weapons Station China Lake research facility in California is the site of a major geothermal power plant that has been in operation for 15 years.

As a whole, in recent years the Department of Defense has ramped up its pursuit of geothermal energy and other forms of locally generated energy such as solar power, wind and biogas in order to unchain U.S. national defense facilities from reliance on grid-supplied sources.
...
Alternative energy is also just one small example of the Navy’s long history of technological innovation leading to private sector benefits, and in that regard it is a little odd that Senator John McCain, himself a Navy man, chose to throw stones at both the Department of Energy and at the Navy’s current research into biofuels when Navy Secretary Ray Mabus testified at a Senate Armed Services Committee at a hearing last Tuesday.

Specifically, according to an account in The Hill, McCain appears ready to monkey wrench the Navy’s entire alternative energy program through amendments to the Pentagon’s 2013 budget.

So much for “drill baby, drill.”

Howdy Honcos,

A couple quick thoughts on the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

First, I am a big 2nd Amendment right fan as well as a fan of concealed carry.

Following a person does not equal "stand your ground" by any stretch. We will have to see the result of the investigation, but I can't see how in the world this can be viewed as self-defense.

Those who are licensed to carry a concealed weapon have an even greater responsibility than most to avoid confrontation and keep control of their emotions. This guy was not up to the task.

389 BongCrodny  Tue, Mar 20, 2012 3:06:12pm

One of the commenters at Dkos who opted for the "fucking cones" interpretation thought it might be logical if there were traffic cones in the street impeding Zimmerman's path to Martin.

For the record, I thought it sounded like "fucking coons" on the original recording; not so much on the cleaned-up version.

By Charles P. Pierce

...The details in the new case are piling up, and they're getting more grotesque by the day. If the accounts of the cellphone calls are to be believed, Martin thought that George Zimmerman was stalking him. There's some rattling of the cage regarding Florida's idiotic "stand your ground" law, which some prosectors predicted at the time of its passage would inevitably produce something like this. The local police, who've botched this thing from minute one, are now going to have the Department Of Justice and the FBI gnawing on their ankles, to say nothing of the fact that the local cops seem to have bungled their way into the Emmett Till case of the new millennium.
...
...as much as it pains me to say it, the American right already has determined that the whole controversy is a subtle plot by the Kenyan Muslim black liberationist Derrick Bell-hugger to gin up racial distrust so as to guarantee his re-election as Chief Executive Shaka Zulu.

What we can state for certain is that Zimmerman said "Shit, he's running," and that Zimmerman had a handgun and a 110 lb. weight advantage vs. a kid with Skittles and Iced Tea. Painting a plausible scenario where Zimmerman was in legitimate fear of his life strains credulity to say the least.

I never painted a picture where the guy had a legit fear for his life. If you read that into my objections to the surrounding assumptions people are making or anything else I wrote you are in error as to my point. I painted a scenario where they fought, he lost the fistfight and pulled a gun. That does not justify this guy at all.

Yeah, this.

I can't think of a single scenario in this story where Zimmerman was ever in legitimate danger. Any claims of self-defense are obvious bullshit.

Me either. His nose was in danger apparently, deservedly so. He had no reason to approach the kid at all.

I agree with everything but the moon colony thing. I refuse to ridicule Newt with it, there are plenty of other things to ridicule him for. What's wrong with suggesting a moon colony? It's sad that this sounds so loopy to people. It didn't sound loopy 20 or 30 years ago...back then NASA couldn't imagine that we would NOT have a lunar base by this time. Actually, they thought we'd be eyeing Mars by now.

It sounds loopy because of the actual, scientifically-established health issues that have arisen regarding long-term living in sub-Earth gravity...up to and including how low gravity may make human reproduction nonviable and cause birth defects. And because we can't get long-term bio-enclosure to work with a small training population, let alone a large one that includes civilians. That it's an appealing idea from both a research perspective and a human wonderment perspective doesn't make it any less impractical.

Also, that a permanent national presence on the moon with a political franchise is a statement of possession with implications for international relations. The USA claiming a part of the moon is an act of land seizure (and natural resource seizure, theoretically) that would cause a shockwave through foreign nations and potentially nullify treaties relating to other areas that by international agreement are set aside from development...like Antarctica or any number of oceanic regions.

Add to that the candidate talking about this idea also promises to decrease the deficit while creating our new Moon State.

Counterpoints. The problems we know are from micro-gravity. We really don't know where the line is between "problems" and "OK". On which side of that line does the moon's 1/6G lie?

re the small bio-enclosure, I see no reason to doubt it's not one of the things that can be solved - to at least "well enough" - by throwing enough money.

The rest of your points stand - well, quibble to the treaty issue as I can't recall whether Newt said "claim the moon" or "put a colony on the moon". One abrogates ownership issues, the other is allowed (with caveats and qualifiers, similar to those that allow space stations).

Remember when Bill O'Reily used to do shows about the awful comments on lefty websites? He sure has been quiet about that since FOX Nation got started. I wonder why?

re: #427 The Ghost of a Flea

The way I've been hearing the "moon colony" idea disparaged is that it's a loopy idea period. I suspect you would find a great many scientists who disagree. Of course, I doubt these scientists envision an actual "moon colony" any time soon, if ever. More likely a small manned lunar research base. Of course you'd have to have to launch rockets to the moon from Earth orbit...that would mean a space station. I'm also sure no scientist sees this as a one-nation project, as Newt probably does. It would never happen without international cooperation.

If the Moon were to be mined for minerals that could probably be done robotically. No question it would take a very long time for mining to become profitable because the initial investment would be massive.

Here's what's on the Black Blogosphere.

Black bloggers say that "Jew" Zimmerman gets away with murder. (FACT: He's NOT JEWISH! He's not HALF JEWISH! Most "Zimmermans" are Lutheran.)

Charles: I don't think that focusing on Fox hate tells the whole story. Look how hateful this video is. But this commentary is even worse because it drags in completely innocent parties.
