Breitbart ‘Editor’ Joel Pollak: ‘We Went Through a Vetting Process’

New York magazine’s Joe Coscarelli spoke to breitbart.com “editor” Joel Pollak about their utterly ridiculous EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL INTERVIEW with “U2’s Bono” (who turned out not to be Bono).

Pollak says, “We went through a vetting process on this and appropriate questions were raised and appropriate answers were given.”

Which, if true, is actually even more pathetic than if they hadn’t, because the guy really doesn’t even look much like Bono, and not only that — he has no Irish accent. They can’t even tell an obviously fake Bono from the real one, but they’re going to “vet” the President?

“We went through a vetting process on this and appropriate questions were raised and appropriate answers were given,” Breitbart.com editor Joel Pollack assured us this afternoon by phone. “But the videographer then asked us to take it down, so we did.” But Pollak said he would “neither confirm nor deny” that mistaken identity was the reason for the scrubbing.

Again, the Breitbrats prove that they’re pathologically unable to admit they screwed up, big time. Or should I say, Big Hollywood Time?

One of the reasons that Mattera got so little from his interview is that Sfera doesn’t do the whole Bono routine — just the look. “I wasn’t pretending to be Bono,” says Sfera. “I don’t walk around with an accent. I don’t fake people out. . . . I have a very strong, independent life, and I’m comfortable in my own skin,” he continues, noting that he has been playing “Bonodouble” for 11 years.

Sfera says he was “waiting” for Mattera to figure out that he wasn’t really Bono. That moment didn’t come, and Sfera decided not to help his interlocutor. “I let him go,” says Sfera. “I didn’t think he was being legitimate and fair.”

He added, “I think in the end he was trying to find dirt, and I wasn’t there to give it to him. I didn’t speak as Bono for Bono with an Irish accent.” Sfera says he’s a “fan of charitable causes” and admires Bono’s work to “assist in extreme situations for humanity.”

As important, there is the lack of any concern by our legislators that by allowing government fund to religious schools, the government of Missouri is messing with religion — something even constitutional purists can see if they would only open their eyes. If the tea party, libertarians and other conservative groups want to live the Constitution as originally written, SJR 47 is a clear violation of the First Amendment.

And neither would a figure of his public stature give a casual interview to some goombah off the street, he would appear on a major network with a known interviewer. They were just too full of themselves and oblivious of the facts to even begin to think in these terms.

Seven of the species carried a malfunctioning copy of the Tas1r2 gene that encodes a sweet taste receptor. However, the exact mutations differed from one species to another, suggesting that carnivores have independently lost their ability to detect sugars during the course of evolution.

Furthermore, bottlenose dolphins (pictured) and sea lions lack working copies of the gene encoding receptors for tasting savoury flavours, or umami. Dolphins also seem to have lost a receptor that senses bitter compounds. The authors say taste may not affect what these creatures eat as sea lions and dolphins tend to swallow their food whole.

For now it seems they were very careful about the constitutional limits and were mostly interested in tracking what Anon was up to. Most of that was from publicly available MSM articles. Mos of the other stuff about OWS was discussing how to answer press questions about security at federal buildings and the conspiracy theory that DHS orchestrated the nationwide crackdown on OWS camps (which they didn't). I did find it interesting that much of the discussion was about protecting protesters rights. It seems they were very careful.

You may be right, however Infosec Island is a respected resource among security specialists, so I'd be really surprised to find out that he's a flake. For now it seems they were very careful about the constitutional limits and were mostly interested in tracking what Anon was up to. Most of that was from publicly available MSM articles. Mos of the other stuff about OWS was discussing how to answer press questions about security at federal buildings and the conspiracy theory that DHS orchestrated the nationwide crackdown on OWS camps (which they didn't). I did find it interesting that much of the discussion was about protecting protesters rights. It seems they were very careful.

Yes, for now. That's precisely the part that bothers me. There's no more firewall, so to speak. As for the rest, I've never been an activist/protester sort of gal, so I really didn't have a lot of interest in OWS to begin with, and haven't kept up with it.

Well...the problem is that most trail mix shouldn't be all-the-time snack food. It's food built for exertion, with a big dollop of fat and sugar in a small package.

Sitting around eating trail mix isn't a lot different than eating candy bars. And for most food-secure people the minerals and (maybe) vitamins are actually superfluous rather than necessary.

Granola--originally dried or grain--on the other hand, has had lots of extra stuff added that makes it more calorie-intensive. Dried fruit, for example, is deceptively unhealthy from a caloric standpoint.

Ironically, cacao beans are seeds and are not bad for you (he wrote, about to run out and buy some chocolate.) So if someone just wanted to break up and roll out some cacao beans and put them in a "granola" mix it would be fitting, but very bitter tasting.

The "chocolate" used in most confections has very little real chocolate in it, and is usually just sugar and vegetable oils.

One-third of America's kids eat fast food every day. (I believe this means that on any given day, 1/3 of kids eat fast food, not that 1/3 of kids are eating it every single day.)

You need to cool down a lot. And not just in the short term.

History paints, often justifiably, a poor picture of a lot of people. It's not a good standard on which to judge the living. The past is a damn charnel house.

And talking about purges and punitive action is just childish. Death shouldn't be trivialized, and warfare does not have video game, clear-cut victory terms. Silencing opponents by making them corpses isn't a "win"--it's a deferment at best.

And it's also not good to walk around angry about things you have no control over. From the way you talk about your family life here, it's sounds like you need to make terms with your own experiences, learns something from them, and not let your emotional life be defined by frustration, indignation and outrage. It doesn't help you, it doesn't help the things you care about.

The win in this situation is to not let the things/people that anger you control your life or what's going on in your head. Going off on Salafism and/or assholes in the MSA every day doesn't show that you care, it shows that these events dominate your thought process.

He gets re-elected. As long as his constituents are happy enough to keep electing him, he can do whatever the hell he wants.

That is unfortunately true, ignoring the simple fact that in our system elected officials are supposed to serve even those who didn't vote for them, which is why most "jobs" as opposed to lawmakers are supposed to have specific responsibilities.

I suspect you are one of those who think government is the same thing as running a business. Do you know of any business, particularly a publicly owned business, that tolerates employees doing "whatever the hell they want"?
