Fox News Anchor Heather Childers Asks: Did Obama Threaten to Kill Chelsea Clinton?

WTF?
Wingnuts • Views: 27,508

Fox News anchor Heather Childers is on Twitter, and she’s merrily tweeting links to a bugeyed crazy far right website called “Godfather Politics,” asking the question:

Your eyes are not deceiving you, this is an actual Fox News “journalist” asking whether President Obama threatened to kill Chelsea Clinton.

And that’s not all. She followed up with another tweet from the same batshit loony website:

Yes, it’s true! She just wants your thoughts about whether President Obama faked his birth certificate.

My reply:

Ms Childers is now feeling very persecuted. All she wanted was to have a nice, pleasant conversation about President Obama, the impostor who threatens to kill children.

That has gotta be the most overused troll tactic: "I was just asking a question..."

You see it on political boards all the time, troll pulls pin on "question," throws it out, then responds to the outrage over the destruction by whining that it just wanted a "nice discussion" and that anybody attacking it for such a shitty topic/"question" are the real trolls.

What. The. Fuck.

Did it never occur to this weapons-grade moron that if the Obama campaign had actually done anything like threatening to kill Chelsea Clinton, it would have been a huge fucking scandal at the time?

Chelsea is the daughter of a former POTUS. Does this Faux News spokesmodel really think that the Secret Service and other federal law enforcement would have ignored threats like that? Or that Hillary and Bill would have ignored them, or not said anything back then?

If this is what passes for right wing thought, then I'll happily stay on the left side of the aisle. WTF.

I think it's really funny that Childers prefaces each tweet with 'Thoughts?' when it is so plainly obvious that she has none.

The Wingers are going to go frothy over this:

Obama: Reagan could not survive in 'radical' GOP

And, predictably, Ryan's already whining:

Paul Ryan: Obama distorting my budget plan

“History will not be kind to a president who, when it came time to confront our generation’s defining challenge, chose to duck and run,” Ryan said. “The president refuses to take responsibility for the economy and refuses to offer a credible plan to address the most predictable economic crisis in our history.

“Like his reckless budgets, today’s speech by President Obama is as revealing as it is disappointing: While others lead by offering real solutions, he has chosen to distort the truth and divide Americans in order to distract from his failed record,” added Ryan, who is in Wisconsin campaigning with Mitt Romney ahead of Tuesday’s primaries there. “His empty promises are quickly becoming broken promises – and the American people will hold him accountable for this violation of their trust.”

And Boehner, never one to be above "Me-too"ism, is chiming in as well:

“If the president were serious, he would put forward a plan to deal with our debt crisis and save Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for future generations of seniors without raising taxes on small businesses that are struggling in this economy,” Boehner said in a statement. “Instead, he has chosen to campaign rather than govern, and the debt crisis he is presiding over is only getting worse.”

Regardless of whether or not Reagan believed everything he claimed, I think it's fair to say that even his rightmost statements would put him in danger of RINO categorization today.

Yeah, but that's because of the march of progress. What in 1980 was "common sense" today is "fringe." Can you imagine for a second a 1980 Democrat signing onto gays openly serving in the military? Or ending the Defense Of Marriage Act? Or supporting a public option for health care reform?

re: #20 Kragar

The Wingers are going to go frothy over this:

Obama: Reagan could not survive in 'radical' GOP

Obama, in a stinging speech to an audience of news executives, had unsparing words for Republicans on Capitol Hill as well as the man he is most likely to face off against in November, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. The president depicted the election as a choice between a Democratic candidate who wants to use government to help people succeed and Republicans who would abandon a basic compact with society and let most people struggle at the expense of the rich.

I see nothing untrue about this; the GOP has outwardly become the "Fuck Everyone Else, I've Got Mine!" party over the past few years especially, culminating in the TP movements.

The GOP faithful are realizing that Obama's re-election is inevitable and their hopes for the WH are dead. They are moving past the denial stage and gravitating toward the anger stage. There they go frothing at the mouth in anger over every news story.

There were stories today about how the auto industry sales went up 12% in March and that the domestic companies were showing signs of strength and actually hiring people, which is good news for the country right? Five confirmed tornadoes - with at least two of F3 strength.
Four of the tornadoes went through heavily populated areas - two hitting schools.
Damage reports are just starting to come in - hundreds of residential homes were damaged (one twister damaged/destroyed 300 homes).

The one bright spot out of all of this? So far, there have been no fatalities, and only minor injuries have been reported.

Their focus is slowly shifting to Congress, which is where they expect to hold the line, if not make gains. All politics are ultimately local and the GOP knows that the best way at this point to combat a second Obama term is to deny him the votes in the legislature to get anything accomplished. That means demonizing him seven ways to Sunday, then telling voters that every Democrat sent to Congress next year is another vote in favor of the "Obama agenda."

Fucking delightful people:

You KNOW it's true! Hell, the blacks would vote for Obama even if he started beating Michele. They'd just shrug and say "bïtch had it coming."

and

Van Jones is 100% correct. And, the reason why is because as a voting block, blacks are ignorant. They listen to race-baiting idiots like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (who have gotten rich off of them) and they vote skin color versus what is best for them and their country. Vote Democrat; it is easier than working.

And so forth.

So typical, Fox folks and the conservative media, love to 'shit stir', in fact they are professional shit stirrers. And once called on their as usual over the top pandering to the conspiracy prone set, they cry and claim they are ones being persecuted and victimized.

Why, because for some twisted reason they seem to believe being a victim brings you special privileges. They reason they believe this is mostly because
1. They've never been bullied, they are the bullies
2. They don't give a shit about anyone but the agenda they are being paid to promote, (otherwise there is no explanation for what happened to Ed Henry and Bill Hemmer once they took jobs at Fox.)
3. They have utter contempt for a civilized society, one that seeks to make the lives of everyone better, not just certain "special" people.

In the words of Annie Lennox, Hey Fox, Money Can't Buy It (in this case it's self respect tho;)

Thoughts: "Supreme Court" is deceptive when used in place of "some old lawyer in Alabama."

Speaking of the "nine oligarchs in black robes," apparently Obama's remarks about their ability to rule on the Affordable Care Act were too much for conservative judges in a lower court:

Appeals court fires back at Obama's comments on health care case

The panel is hearing a separate challenge to the health care law by physician-owned hospitals. The issue arose when a lawyer for the Justice Department began arguing before the judges. Appeals Court Judge Jerry Smith immediately interrupted, asking if DOJ agreed that the judiciary could strike down an unconstitutional law.

The DOJ lawyer, Dana Lydia Kaersvang, answered yes -- and mentioned Marbury v. Madison, the landmark case that firmly established the principle of judicial review more than 200 years ago, according to the lawyer in the courtroom.

Smith then became "very stern," the source said, telling the lawyers arguing the case it was not clear to "many of us" whether the president believes such a right exists. The other two judges on the panel, Emilio Garza and Leslie Southwick--both Republican appointees--remained silent, the source said.

Smith, a Reagan appointee, went on to say that comments from the president and others in the Executive Branch indicate they believe judges don't have the power to review laws and strike those that are unconstitutional, specifically referencing Mr. Obama's comments yesterday about judges being an "unelected group of people."

Also, apparently, Zimmerman did some sort of re-enactment:

The day after the shooting, George Zimmerman, according to his father, returned with at least three police officers to the Retreat at Twin Lakes, back to that grassy area where plaintive cries for help had gone unanswered. The investigators, accompanied by someone with a video camera, wanted him to re-enact the events of the night when the two strangers had stood their ground.

Mr. Zimmerman’s father watched from nearby. “They started where his vehicle was,” he recalled. “They walked him down the sidewalk and to the end of the sidewalk, to the street where he got an address and then walked him back towards his vehicle, near where the incident occurred.”

I once did a construction job for a fairly wealthy man of color. I was several years younger and had a curiosity I simply could not keep myself from asking....

"I do so appreciate the work, and I will do you a good job, but I am curious, why you didn't give this job to one of the subcontractors of color?"

His response I admit took me back: "Cause them damn N!@@ers would screw me out of everything and the job still would not be done right."

I guess loyalty for nothing more than skin color sake only goes so far.

For fuck's sake.

It works under the logic that says "If you believe strongly in it, it becomes a religion."

Yeah, but it's like, the mainstream public is pretty much secularist, most people accept the wall of separation. They're also religious. Do they serve two Gods?

94 Mich-again  Tue, Apr 3, 2012 4:13:29pm

My favorite New Testament passage for the RWNJ's.. They haaaate this one.

Romans 13:1-4
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Fucking delightful people:

You KNOW it's true! Hell, the blacks would vote for Obama even if he started beating Michele. They'd just shrug and say "bïtch had it coming."

This couldn't be farther from the truth. We like Barack, but we love Michelle. If Barack hurt or embarrassed her in anyway, we would be done with him.

What. The.

WTF.

I'm so confused. I thought that the Clintons were the ones who had people killed. Is the DNC supposed to be a free-for-all, or are there rules about who gets to kill who?

What we are seeing now is the gradual payoff of thirty years of working overtime to convince people that this simple arrangement you mention is a monstrous abomination, which all religious Americans have always suffered under and chafed against.

They haven't managed to convince the majority, but the minority is growing.

Just keep in mind they are not the only ones who can speak and persuade. Us Enlightenment folks just have to understand that we are in an existential fight here against the forces of ignorance. Take heart in the knowledge that our forebears in the struggle had to start practically from ground zero, dealing with much more serious persecution along the way.

re: #47 Targetpractice

Their focus is slowly shifting to Congress, which is where they expect to hold the line, if not make gains. All politics are ultimately local and the GOP knows that the best way at this point to combat a second Obama term is to deny him the votes in the legislature to get anything accomplished. That means demonizing him seven ways to Sunday, then telling voters that every Democrat sent to Congress next year is another vote in favor of the "Obama agenda."

I think they're delusional.

She is an irresponsible hate monger.

Back in Nazi Germany they told lies like this about Jews and other "undesirables." The consequences were disastrous. This is hate speech in my opinion.

If Fox had any integrity whatsoever they would fire this person immediately.
