Twitchy.com: Evil Liberals Imprisoning Conservatives in Twitter Gulag

Your right wing panic of the day
Wingnuts • Views: 28,979

The big news last night on Twitter was that Dana Loesch’s husband Chris Loesch had his account suspended. Dana and Michelle Malkin and every wingnut drone on Twitter immediately started yelping that they were being targeted by “progressives” falsely reporting them as spam. They present absolutely no evidence for this assertion, of course.

Today, Michelle Malkin’s fake news site “Twitchy” has gathered up a bunch of tweets to demonstrate how persecuted and tormented the poor right wing is: Dissent for Me, but Not for Thee: Liberals Justify Twitter Gulag for Conservatives | Twitchy.

“Gulag.” What a bunch of ridiculous drama queens they are.

I’m proud to say that I made it into Twitchy’s list of Gulag-justifiers, with this tweet:

Twitter Gulag? Is that like a facebook death camp or a Myspace cultural revolution?

Screw them for misappropriating a Nat Hentoff title, as well.

I disagree with some of the stuff in Hentoff's book, but at least it's well-written and argued.

This by the way is why I laugh at those conservaties who say time and time after again that liberals are overly emotional and conservatives are logical and rational. Really comparing having your twitter account to the Gulag? The Gulag where you know people died.

But remember that "gulag" is a Russian Commie concept. Red-blooded Mericans never falsely or inhumanely imprison!

Seriously? Comparing suspending accounts for violating TOS and the gulag?

What kind of history lessons are these numbnuts getting? Oh wait, we're talking about Michelle Malkin and her twitter followers (among others), who has defended Japanese internment camps during WWII.

Gulags - where millions were sent to die by the Soviets.
Gulags - where millions died in North Korea.

As compared with the suspension of twitter accounts over being racist, xenophobic, and abusive towards others?

One isn't like the other.

They aren't in the same league. They aren't even in the same sport. Or universe.

You know, the interment thing tells you all you need to know about Malkin. To me, the internment is among the worst of FDR's legacies as president. You'd think Malkin would use it to condemn a liberal sacred cow but the fact she actually defends it shows the fascist within with her.

Well to be fair John Calvin's vision of theocracy means more to David Barton than Thomas Jefferson's vision of religious liberty. But yeah how telling is it that a guy like Calvin means more than Jefferson.

Politifact rating: Half True
Says Mitt Romney's comments indicated he would not have pursued Osama bin Laden.

The Obama campaign is right that Romney used those words, but by cherry-picking them, it glosses over comments describing his broader approach. Romney said he wanted to pursue all of al-Qaida, not just its leaders.

The reporter quoting him in April 2007 said he instead "endorsed a broader strategy to defeat the Islamic jihad movement." And he said just over a week later that he would "get Osama bin Laden and track him wherever he has to go, and make sure he pays for the outrage he exacted upon America … he is going to pay, and he will die."

Still, Romney was clear later that summer that he would prefer to participate with allies rather than take unilateral action to kill terrorists as Obama supported — and later did. The ad takes Romney’s words out of context, but gets part of the story right. We rate it Half True.

Muslim Women not allowed into Geller's "Human Rights" conference

Yesterday in Dearborn, Michigan, noted anti-Muslim activists Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer hosted a conference promising to advocate for “human rights” in one of the largest Muslim communities in the United States. Geller, writing on her blog on Sunday, warned, “We will meet fierce resistance by Islamic supremacists who will do anything, say anything to impose the sharia and whitewash the oppression, subjugation and slaughter of women under Islamic law.”

But surprisingly, Muslim women found themselves denied entry to the conference and, after patiently waiting in the corridor after being told to wait, were removed from the Hyatt Hotel by the Dearborn Police Department and Hyatt security.

Several of the young women commented that they shared a similar appearance with Jessica Mokdad, the young women who Geller and Spencer claim was murdered in an “honor killing” (a conclusion not shared by Mokdad’s family or Michigan prosecutors).

ThinkProgress attempted to attend the event and was turned away, and eventually removed from the Hyatt by the police, along with the young women. One of the women commented, “I tried emailing [Pamela Geller to register] and I literally couldn’t get any kind of response back.” That comment seems to contradict Geller’s claim that she wants to help Muslim women and that the conference was in defense of the human rights of Muslim women.

Of course he'll be true about his other half in another week...but that still counts as half true, right?

If you have a girlfriend who is a dentist, do not get your teeth cleaned by her after you break up!

UK Dentist Gets Back at Ex by Removing All His Teeth

UK dentist Dr. Anna Mackowiak, 34, is accused of getting back at her ex-boyfriend for breaking up with her by removing all of his teeth.

While performing what should have been a routine examination on Marek Olszewski, 45, Dr. Mackowiak apparently could not pass up the opportunity to exact her revenge, allegedly administering numbing medication in order to remove all of his teeth without his knowledge.

Dr. Mackowiak explained her actions, saying:

“I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions, but when I saw him lying there I just thought, ‘What a b—–d.’”

I find that very hard to believe. No amount of "numbing medication" is gonna make someone not notice 20 teeth coming out. If the guy was down to one or two, well maybe.

Seriously. He would have had to be knocked unconscious, not just numbed. There's no way in hell that someone doesn't notice all their teeth being pulled out of their mouth.

It seems that it traces back (via the Daily Fail, naturellement) to the story in Poland, as previously noted.

I can't bear to look at the DF website for more than about 15 seconds so I can't tell if they were linking somewhere else. Probably not though, as they are notorious for ripping off other people's work without attribution.

Flyers In Michigan Compare Obama To Hitler’s Nazi Germany

An anonymous group in Grand Rapids, Michigan is distributing flyers depicting President Obama as a white man with a black mask and a Nazi swastika. “The Holocaust is coming,” the flyers read, “Hitler’s Nazi Germany has been revived in the U.S. and the target is Americans.” Voters are referred “referred to a website to sign a petition that espouses tea party ideas and urges people to support Ron Paul”:

The flyer spouts the idea that there are military checkpoints throughout the country and that it “is legal to assassinate Americans.”

“Obama’s health care bill is not a health care bill, instead it’s a total government takeover of every area of life (read the fine print) like gun confiscation, euthanasia and so on (euthanizing the poor, the elderly, the ill, those who’ve maxed out their health insurance and so on) there are no jobs and everyone will eventually be poor,” the card states. [...]

The literature offers no clue on who authored and distributed it. The image of Obama on the front comes from the two-hour political documentary “The Obama Deception.” The film from Alex Jones claims Obama has been installed by powerful families to act against the interests of the people.

So does the Huffington Post.

I thought it was hilarious that Arianna suddenly goes off on Obama after he calls her out for having a link farm that doesn't pay its contributors.

Stupid inefficient government bureaucrats. It's much more cost-effective to euthanize people before they max out their health insurance.

I think the gist of that is that what saved the auto industry was the restructuring during the managed bankruptcy, not the infusion of billions of dollars. There is a good argument to be made that without the infusion of capital the industry never would have survived to make it through a managed bankruptcy, but there is an argument that without the infusion of taxpayer dollars they would just have gotten to the bankruptcy several months sooner and got to the same point without the extra burden on the taxpayer. Who knows what would have happened, but the knee jerk "do they think we are all stupid!" just seems too echo chambery.

NYT:
Terrorist Plots, Hatched by the F.B.I.

THE United States has been narrowly saved from lethal terrorist plots in recent years — or so it has seemed. A would-be suicide bomber was intercepted on his way to the Capitol; a scheme to bomb synagogues and shoot Stinger missiles at military aircraft was developed by men in Newburgh, N.Y.; and a fanciful idea to fly explosive-laden model planes into the Pentagon and the Capitol was hatched in Massachusetts.

But all these dramas were facilitated by the F.B.I., whose undercover agents and informers posed as terrorists offering a dummy missile, fake C-4 explosives, a disarmed suicide vest and rudimentary training. Suspects naïvely played their parts until they were arrested.

WTF?
