Irony Alert! Loesch Distracts From Riehl’s Misogyny By Tag-Teaming With Another Misogynist

Republican operative Chip Gerdes has a history of homophobia, misogyny and threats.
Wingnuts • Views: 33,897

After Breitbart blogger Dan Riehl’s sexist comments about Joan Walsh were publicized, Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher asked Dana Loesch for a comment, which makes sense given that Loesch works at breitbart.com and frequently claims that the War on Women is a liberal conspiracy. Loesch, as is her usual practice, refused to answer the question and desperately tried to change the subject by accusing Christopher of all manner of things. Of course, one of those things was that Christopher is being secretly controlled by, who else, LGF’s Charles Johnson.

The person she was talking to, @TookieW, aka Chip Gerdes, is someone I’m very familiar with. He’s a nasty person who should be shunned in polite society, so naturally he’s close with the Loeschs:

Chip Gerdes, Dana Loesch, and Andrew Breitbart. Photo via Founding Bloggers

Gerdes once threatened to slash the tires on my car, and regularly makes homophobic jokes about me:

After the last time he made a homophobic joke, a fellow activist criticized him and this is how he responded:

So upon being criticized for homophobic remarks, Gerdes immediately attacks the looks of Sarah (who, by the way, is clearly not ugly). Textbook sexism. And you can be sure that the Loeschs will never, ever, even mildly rebuke him for his homophobia or sexism, even while they scream about identical comments from others.

Mmm. I guess the far-right outrage over SE Cupp's oral-pleasing Hustler graphic has blown over, now that one one of their own is engaging in similar sexist baiting. I doubt Michelle Malkin or Cupp herself will jump to Walsh's defence. Ah, the convenience of selective outrage.

Apparently pornographer Larry Flynt doesn't like S.E.Cupp, so he decided to drum up cheap publicity & outrage by Photoshopping her, in his porn magazine, performing a sex act. The Right decided Flynt speaks for the Left and if they didn't all denounce him they were also culpable for Flynt's misogyny. Lots of Leftwing sites went along with that construction and denounced him, which was fine, but some went further and were oddly introspective about left-wing misogyny, which I found somewhat silly. Obviously Leftwing sexism and misogyny exists, and should be examined, but it's stupid to do it when the Right demands it, and as they're trying somehow make the case that Larry Flynt speaks for the Left.

Not quite Malkin herself, but surprisingly a writer at her Twitchy site did call Riehl out. They at the same time kind of make understanding noises about how "vile" and 'infuriating' Joan Walsh is, but I suppose that's to be expected considering the source:

[Link: www.mediaite.com...]

Riehl is a conservative blogger who writes for our friends at Breitbart.com. Walsh is editor-at-large of Salon.com.

Riehl was responding to Walsh’s despicable comments about Andrew Breitbart.

Walsh is vile and we can understand being infuriated by her remarks. We were as well.

But the disgusting sexualization and dehumanization that Michelle Malkin wrote about in her “4 stages of conservative female abuse” are always wrong, whether the target is S.E. Cupp, Nikki Haley, Sarah Palin, or a liberal like Joan Walsh. She doesn’t deserve such misogyny. Leave that to Barack Obama’s top PAC donors.

To me, the final part of the Mediaite article is of immense descriptive value:

I agree with that last part, but I would also add that there is an extra dimension to attacks like Riehl’s, and Flynt’s attack on S.E. Cupp, and the attacks by Playboy Magazine on conservative women that landed me on this site in the first place. The combination of a sexual “fantasy” with unmasked hostility carries with it an inherent lack of consent that carries these attacks beyond objectification, beyond dehumanization, and into violation.

An individual calling the lie is a commenter. If the NYT comprehensively called them out, it would have stroke.

Milwaukee - On Friday, investigative information released by a reliable source indicated that Governor Scott Walker (R) and up to five others in the governor's circle while he was Milwaukee County executive will be facing several felony charges resulting from the John Doe investigation. The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office (DA) is expected to file charges against Walker and five other suspects on allegations that they used county time to campaign to help elect Walker as governor while working and restricted other Walker employees from exposing alleged unethical acts to the DA probe.

I call bullshit on the article, but not on Amory Blaine, who properly qualified his posting it. The fact that its from an anonymous source like that makes it extremely suspect, as does its convenient (for Mayor Barrett of Milwaukee, who is running against Walker) timing. It looks entirely like a smear job to me, especially since it was Walker who asked for the investigation.

Walker owes Wisconsin’s veterans some answers

The John Doe probe has produced charges that Walker’s political confidante and frequent appointee to positions of public trust Tim Russell embezzled $20,000 from a charity intended to assist families of Wisconsin soldiers who were killed in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The charity had been run by a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Milwaukee County, with no complaints.

But Walker took control of the “Operation Freedom” charity away from the VFW and handed it over to Russell.

Russell, who now faces multiple charges of misconduct, stands accused of diverting money to himself that had been intended for veterans.

Walker put Russell in charge of the charity.

Walker was in regular contact with Russell as the alleged thefts took place.

And Walker has hired a team of criminal defense lawyers to help him respond to questions and allegations related to the John Doe inquiry.

Or (if I may go into tinfoil hat mode for a moment) it's a "false flag" operation designed to either lure Barrett supporters into a trap or lull anti-Walker voters into a false sense of security ("we don't need to vote, since he'll be charged anyway").

That said, if it's true, and prosecutors are holding off because of the recall, they should be aware that lack of action is also unduly influencing the election. If the evidence is there, file charges, if not, don't.

It could also be disinformation put out by Barrett supporters to make Walker look like a criminal. The frequent highlighting of Walker having hired a defense team is especially bad. If I had someone with whom I'd worked closely get accused of misappropriation of funds, you best believe I'd get a lawyer, even if I did nothing wrong. And I'd make those legal services available to the accused man as well, if I believed him to be innocent.

A bicyclist was struck by a white SUV near the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and San Marino Street around 1:20 p.m., according to Los Angeles Police Officer Karen Rayner.

A man then stepped out of the car and fatally shot at the bicyclist as he lay on the ground, Rayner said. A second man was shot running away from the scene, receiving non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Does the IG get any field guns or other specialist tank killing designs?

Leman Russ tanks. Fielding 2 Leman Russ with standard Battle Cannons and 1 Leman Exterminator. I'm also fielding 2 Valkyrie Gun ships with rocket pods.

Hmmm... I wonder if SYG might apply? Imagine if the cyclist crossed over into the SUV's lane - the SUV has to stand its ground, no?

Barack and Michelle Obama's daughter Malia went to concert by British Boyband One Direction.

Fake Take-Away: Can't be her! We know that all Obama hate anything British because Barack Obama has a Kenyan Anti-Colonialist worldview!!1

Real Take-Away: Malia looks very much like her mother, I think. I mean that in a wholly positive way.

She does. And she is turning into a very pretty young lady. (Her taste in music, I will chalk up to her age.)

What are you trying to do, trying to get a spy out of a hostile situation?

Its the Share the Lane My Ass law.

In Philadelphia they have this extra parking lane now on some of the streets. Those parking seem to wonder sometimes why it is a little narrow and has bicycle symbols spray painted on it a few places every block.
