Breitbart Blogger Dana Loesch Lies on CNN: ‘Nobody Believes Obama Wasn’t Born in Hawaii’

Why is this liar employed by a news organization?
Wingnuts • Views: 36,245

Another day, another outright lie from one of the most dishonest right wing “pundits,” Dana Loesch, who told CNN’s Carol Costello this morning that right wing Birthers don’t exist.

Here is what — nobody — nobody believes that the President wasn’t born in Hawaii except for people like Phil Berg and the Clintons. Nobody believes that. So I think this whole issue is moot at this point.

Really? “Nobody believes that?”

It’s ridiculously easy to show how dishonest Loesch’s claim is; all we have to do is go to the website where she’s an editor, breitbart.com, and read the comments for their ludicrous Birther article on that publisher’s bio that Obama had nothing to do with: The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama’s Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: ‘Born in Kenya and Raised in Indonesia and Hawaii’.

There are more than 5000 comments now in this thread. But Dana Loesch wants the CNN audience to believe that the only Birthers in America are Democrats.

Obama needs to come clean about - “misrepresenting” himself - (like Elizabeth Warren) - and why he acquired a State Grant - under “Barry Soetoro” - as a “FOREIGN” student - as indicated by the California Assembly records - to attend Occidential College - registered as a “foreign” student - from Indonesia - of Muslim faith.

Either he was GAMING the System - “pretending” to be a “foreign” student - to acquire FREE MONEY - through FRAUD - to attend our American univesities,
or he knows that he was “ineligible” to serve as POTUS and Commander-in-Chief - and placed all his PERSONAL information under seal - birth records, college transcripts, passport information, etc. - as his First EXECUTIVE ORDER - to further conceal these matters - while Obama operatives failed to destroy/hide the California Assembly records - listed as a foreign student - as his passort information was destroyed.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, there was a CYBER-CRIME at the US State Department - in which the passport information of Obama/Soetoro was “tweaked” - along with other presidential candidates, such as Hillary Clinton’s - as the means to distract from the actual target = to alter the passport information of Barack HUSSEIN Obama/Barry Soetoro.

[…]

I wonder if Romney will bring up the lies of Obama’s birth. What would happen if the COURT tried the “case” and prevented him , Obama, from getting in office. This will put the Constitution on trial as well. The culprits are far too many to fit int one big court room……..mega media, Soros, etc. etc.

[…]

Everything isn’t spelled out in the constitution. But, that a president must be a natural born citizen IS spelled out in the constitution. There are legitimate questions about Obama being a natural born citizen and if he would just be forthcoming, he could put it all to rest.

[…]

It’s not about “birther” conspiracy theories. It’s not about avoiding the “birther” label at all costs. It’s about the staunch secrecy of Barack Obama. It’s fundamentally about one simple question: what the hell is Obama hiding?

[…]

Too much to cover it all here…….but one would think anyone who was not a
hopeless Obot would be demanding a real investigation by Congress of
Obama/Soetoro or whoever he is….but Congress knows what the results of the
investigation would be….and prison time is not something they want to
chance…….therefore, no investigation, just obfuscation, lies and denial.

[…]

I think the issue at this point is the cover up. Forgery is a felony. Sheriff Joe’s investigation is a “felony investigation.” Many people are wondering if there something ELSE about the birth certificate. Why not share it? Why produce a forgery? That in itself is enough to send him packing in my opinion.

[…]

Hawaii verified two things that are fatal to Obama’s qualifications for the presidency: first, he has a foreign father who was never an American; second, Obama is a dual citizen.Hoping to put an end to the story, those pesky ballot challenges and Sheriffs, Hawaii and the AZ SoS perpetuate the myth and meme of ‘born in the USA”, or “American citizen”–as the only qualifying factor for President– to deceive the voting public. The Hawaii release did not authenticate Obama’s 2011 electronic version of the Birth Certificate, leaving Sheriff Arpaio’s investigation in tact and relevant. Hawaii also did not verify anything about Obama’s adoption.

[…]

It’s not just the B.C. of the Impostor, it is the fact that his “Daddy” was never a US citizen which makes B.O. unconstitutionally qualified to even run for POTUS

[…]

His birthplace has not been proven! Your word is NOT proof. You are obviously a moron. A forged digital copy of a birth certificate is NOT proof. We will move on when we are good and ready. We will move on when we get to the bottom of this fraud that has been perpetrated on the America people and find the TRUTH. Go Cold Case Posse!

And when the truth is exposed, you liberals and your manipulative lying media will appear as rats to the American people. Disgusting rats, scurrying about spreading the plague. Then you will effectively be exterminated.

[…]

Check all the way to the bottom.. The footprint is there…simple enough to prove — or disprove.. My money is on - that he is NOT an American Citizen in any way…
We need him gone…and …even more right is…in jail !!

I could keep copying and pasting all day — there are literally thousands of comments from right wing Birthers, who seem to have completely missed the breitbart.com disclaimer that their article is not promoting Birtherism.

When Dana Loesch says “nobody believes that,” she is simply lying. On CNN, in front of the whole country.

(h/t: STLActivist.)

UPDATE at 5/30/12 1:35:48 pm

Loesch replies in her usual way:

That’s right — for pointing out that a huge number of the readers of her website are Birthers, she’s calling us … Birthers.

I love her pathetic attempt at making this about the Clintons again. She must have missed the part where Bill Clinton is actively campaigning for Barack Obama, and Hillary has been his Secretary of State all these years.

The deliberate lies, especially on CNN after Trump went full birther on the air, is just par for the course. These wingnuts really do live in their own reality.

Keep telling yourself that Dana. No true conservative blah. Man up, birtherism is a right wing conservative movement.

It's not just a movement. It's the default in the GOP now. Large majorities of Republican voters across the country believe the birther conspiracy. Senate candidates are calling for birther offices, state GOP platforms have gone birther, etc. This is what the majority of Republicans believe.

The REAL Republican fringe now are the non-birther, non-wingnut types.

10 Interesting Times  Wed, May 30, 2012 11:13:55am

Notice, too, her incredibly disingenuous & manipulative phrasing through use of double negatives:

Nobody Believes Obama Wasn’t Born in Hawaii

Read or say this quickly, and it practically becomes "Nobody believes Obama WAS born in Hawaii".

A true non-birther would say something like, "Nobody believes Obama was born in Kenya". But Loesch doesn't say that, because it denies her the opportunity to have her fake & eat it too by sneakily repeating the birther frame.

See, the tangential thing that gets me about all this is that all the talk coming from the seemingly growing number of birthers is "We need to put things in place to prevent someone that isn't a natural born citizen from becoming president!" rather than what is to me the vastly more logical alternative, which is to say "We need to amend the Constitution to remove the silly 'natural born citizen' requirement for president because it is outdated, xenophobic, and doesn't reflect reality."

Why do we need a law or constitutional restriction on that? Why not just let the voters determine what is or isn't a deal breaker? I mean, under things currently you could be born in the U.S., leave the country while you are one day old, live in another country for 60 years without any interaction with Americans, and then run for president.

The legend I always heard was that they did it to prevent Hamilton(Virgin Islands born) from running. I have no idea how true that it is however. Also, you have to be a resident for seven years before running for president so that scenario doesn't work. Not that I disagree with your point. I really think the laws for running for president should be similiar to the Senate. We've had plenty of capable foreign born statespeople from Albert Gallatin to Madeline Albright.

Being a lawyer could fit the mold of being in business (especially at a small business where you have to handle the day-to-day charges/costs/billing etc of running the office. A lawyer like Lincoln or even Obama could qualify for business in that respect.

Reagan could qualify as having business experience due to his service as SAG boss.

But someone who spent their career in the military? They'd be SOL. That'd include someone like Ike or McCain.

Not that Romney has ever commanded millions of men under combined arms or successfully dealt with logistics and complex operations across multiple continents in wartime.

Wait - maybe we should amend the constitution to require military service. /

The second time around. His first time, he developed a drinking problem and was stuck as a quartermaster. He actually was forced to resign because of his drinking problem.

Ironically, he developed a drinking problem because he was stuck on the West coast, and was a devoted husband who hated being away from his wife.

But, but then Prince Harry could become a naturalized citizen, be elected President, and give us to the Queen as a birthday gift!/

Why do we need a law or constitutional restriction on that? Why not just let the voters determine what is or isn't a deal breaker? I mean, under things currently you could be born in the U.S., leave the country while you are one day old, live in another country for 60 years without any interaction with Americans, and then run for president.

Actually, the Constitution requires you to be a resident for 14 years to be eligible.

Let's see - according to Romney's proposal, the following GOP candidates for 2008/2012 would have been disallowed:

Huckabee. Santorum. Gingrich. McCain. No dice.

Borderline cases include Bachmann ( who worked for IRS as tax lawyer, then counseling - I'd argue she wouldn't make the cut as having business experience).

The following make the cut on business experience besides Romney: Ron Paul (doctor); Herman Cain; Gary Johnson; Buddy Roemer; Donald Trump; Jon Huntsman; Rick Perry.

The fact that you've got borderline cases that could go either way shows just how asinine his proposal is. What counts as business experience?

The fact that Dana Loesch is on CNN is one reason why I continue to avoid paying for cable TV. There have been many other commentators on the cable news networks (CNN, Fox, MSNBC) who I don't like, but CNN should know better in the case of Dana Loesch. There is no "value added" from her, other than her facility at spewing hatred.

I would guess that some decision-makers at CNN consider her looks to be "value added", but that's only a guess. I'm "reaching" to try to find a reason for someone to put her on TV. I still can't fathom why she's on the same network that sometimes does a great job of reporting the news.

I travel a lot for work and I'm glad I have cable TV in the hotel. I can afford to have it in my home as well, but for some reason, Dana Loesch is the "line in the sand" that I won't cross. There is no way I'm going to pay for cable TV at home while she's on CNN. Her presence just says it too loudly and too clearly: something is WRONG at CNN, big-time.

Dan Rather has a scoop in Hugo Chavez...

A New Report Says That Hugo Chavez Only Has A Couple Of Months Left Alive At Most

Dan Rather, formerly of CBS News and now of Dan Rather Reports on cable network HDNet, has reportedly heard that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has only a few months to live, and is unlikely to live until planned October 5 elections.

From Rather:

“This reporter has been told that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive cancer that has ‘entered the end stage.’ The information and the quote come from a highly respected source close to Chavez and who is in a position to know his medical condition and history. This source says the prognosis is dire and that Chavez is now not expected to live ‘more than a couple of months at most.’ Chavez is running for re-election in Venezuela but several sources--including the one who revealed the exact kind of cancer-- have told me that they believe it is doubtful the dictator will live to see the results.

Since this is coming from Dan Rather I think this news deserves the 48 hour rule.

Sununu accuses CNN of birther obsession

One day after Donald Trump accused CNN of covering the birther issue in order to boost its ratings, Mitt Romney surrogate John Sununu accused the network of a fixation with the birther issue.

"Why is CNN so fixated on this?" Sununu, the former New Hampshire Governor, asked CNN's Soledad O'Brien. "It's CNN that wants to bring this up. I don't want to bring it up. Mitt Romney has made it clear that he believes President Obama was born in the U.S. You had Donald Trump on last night, and now you are asking the question this morning. It's CNN's fixation."

When vouchers finally pass, you'll probably be able to get funding for an elementary school based on rejection of the law of gravity.

Has it occurred to the wingers that the same vouchers that would let them set up creationist superstition academies would also allow Red parents to open communist indoctrination camps, or radical Muslims to create their own madrassas at taxpayer expense?

Easy solution! We'll just tell groups of parents what worldviews are and are not deserving of federal funding.

I'll tell you, Lizards, one can never tell what is going to happen after we get out of bed in the morning.

Yesterday, Grandma had an appointment at the dentist to have an old, decayed filling replaced. When it was all finished, her jaw had dislocated one one side and the dentist got it to go back in, but it slipped out again.

So, instead of going to lunch, we went to a TMJ specialist. The TMJ specialist wouldn't touch her. Back to the Dentist, who made an appointment with an Oral Surgeon for today. Yes, Grandma had to live thru the night like this.

Since, we requested pain meds to help Grandma get thru this, Princess Dog and I spent the night to be sure she didn't fall and break a hip. No guest bed, so both of us were on the floor.

Needless to say, when Grandma woke-up this morning, all was well. She had no memory of any issue with her jaw. "Mom, your mouth is back to normal!"
"What are you talking about? Do you want me to make coffee?"

Yes, I have a migraine because of the stress, never getting lunch (I had a Jamba Juice Smoothie for dinner) and sleeping on the floor. Grandma thinks I"m crazy. Princess Dog is very glad to be home.

Longtime White Supremacist to Serve on Penn. County GOP Committee

Steve Smith, a longtime racist activist with a history of violence and top-level ties to numerous white nationalist hate groups, has been elected to a 4-year term on the Republican Party’s county committee for Luzerne County, Penn., One People’s Project reports.

Recruited into the neo-Nazi movement while he was stationed at Fort Bragg in the 1990s, Smith, of Pittston, Penn., has been active in an extraordinary array of white nationalist, skinhead, and neo-Nazi groups, including American Third Position, Keystone United (formerly Keystone State Skinheads), and the Council of Conservative Citizens. He is a former Aryan Nations member and former leader of the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of White People, which was created by former Klan leader David Duke but is no longer associated with him. Smith also belongs to a Pennsylvania-based group called the European American Action Coalition (EAAC), which according to its website was formed in fall 2011 “by a few well known White activists in the great and historic state of Pennsylvania.”

Canada police find second body part in post

The package was X-rayed, and police have now confirmed it was a human foot. They will not say whether it is a right or left foot, and whether it belonged to a man or a woman.

The second package was discovered in the course of the investigation, but police will not say who it was addressed to.

The torso in Montreal, which is about 200km (125 miles) east of Ottawa, was discovered by a janitor in a pile of rubbish. Police there are now searching the area for further human remains.

The janitor, Mike Nadeau, 49, told the Ottawa Citizen that he had noticed a smell coming from the suitcase in the past few days.

"I noticed flies and when I looked closer I saw maggots," he told them.

Anyone with mental illness or a different learning style relates to the world differently than the rest of us. Which inherently means their perpective is unique and occasionlly, actually, correct.

I knew an autistic child once who would say "Mommy look at the deer" while riding in the car. There would be no visible deer, and after they passed the area, Mom would see deer crossing the street behind her.

Somehow, this child could interpret stimuli differently than everyone else. Either her visual skills were better at sorting the natural camoflauge of the deer or perhaps she heard things other's didn't. Either way, it is not a sign of supernatural powers. Just different skills at interpreting the world.

We could spend lots of resources on this, but in the end isn't it better to help the child integrate into a functional life?

Is the man penniless these days? Didn't he have enough bread in his own bank accounts to cover the payments?

From what I hear, it really does sound like 38 Studios was hemorrhaging money. Project Copernicus was being talked about as still being at least a year away from release and Kingdoms of Amalur, while seemingly selling decently, supposedly needed to hit 3 million sales just to break even and hasn't even gotten half of that.

No, Curt, your company went under because you put all your resources into trying to develop a super-expensive MMO, which even if it came out would have likely failed because the MMO market is utterly brutal and devours the vast majority of those that attempt to enter it.

Yup. Consider the fact that there has been exactly ONE title that has put even an insignificant dent in the WoW market share for MMORPGs. And even Star Wars:The Old Republic, as well thought out as it is on the storyline side, is having problems hanging on to long-term players - but part of this might be due to ineptitude on EA's part in the fact that they honestly released a game about four months before it was truly ready- and still is plagued with stability problems.

Well, I don't know about TOR, but I know part of the problem many MMOs have had is that they've tried to be WoW, but different! Which doesn't work so well when you still have, you know, WoW with an established game and community.

According to Wiki, it hasn't even sold half a mil.

Yeah, but the thing is, that WoW is really leaving some low-hanging fruit right now because the last expansion was, from a gameplay standpoint, a total dud - which is what happens when you move your best and brightest design/programming teams off of the project like Blizzard/Activision did. And the upcoming Panderia expansion is not generating any significant excitement in the community AT ALL.

I know Curt was claiming the other day that it had moved a million units total. Even if that's true, it was far from enough.

It's a really great game, it's just not really much of an MMO.

Sure, but I'd much rather see something new and interesting rather than yet another retread of WoW-like gameplay.

Pretty much. Plus I've heard the words "rail shooter" used to describe the space combat too many times for it to sound enjoyable.

What's wrong with rail shooters?

I'm still confused how the hell it needed to sell 3 million copies to break even. It released with a $60 price point. By my flawed math, that means they needed to earn $180 million in sales for it before it made any money.

Even when you take away the retailer markups and pay off all the manufacturers and distributors and all the rest, that's insane. Was the point that they had to pay off the entire set of loans with that first game in order to get any future funding?

Yeah, it was fun, but not $15 a month subscription fun. I got a few characters to 50, got the storylines completed, then took a look around and said, "Eh."

Other than the fact that they don't really fit into what an MMO is supposed to be? Games like Diablo III, on the other hand are, and so so rather well, if you turn your brain off for the storyline that reads like it was made by a group of fifth-graders.

Folks like being able to control their ships, move them in ways that maximize their firepower/shielding/etc while minimizing that of their enemy, and so forth. Turning it into a rail shooter, where the challenge is just shooting the bad guys fast enough that they don't shoot you, takes all the fun out of space combat.

re: #266 Kragar

Yeah, they might come up with something nifty but since they just fired a ton of staff, probably not.

Huh? A rail shooter just means you don't control the path you take (Well, not directly). It basically means any 3D shooter environment without full control. For example, Star Fox and non-free range levels in Star Fox 64.

And that's what I'm getting at, people were signing on for full control, being able to move about in a 3D plain without restrictions.

Well, to be fair, it was Chafee saying this, so take it with a large grain of salt.

They co-published with EA. They probably get a relatively small part of that $60.

I believe Donald Trump is a tumor growing out of a bunch of hair that was subjected to radiation.

Prove he isn't!

Apparently there's a Lovecraft story about a woman whose hair, after being subjected to much hair product, becomes a living and malevolent entity.

I worry.
