Another day, another right wing fake outrage, as the entire wingnut blogosphere erupts in idiocy over a Politico Drudge-baiting report that the Secret Service confiscated the forks and knives after dinner at President Obama’s NALEO speech.

It doesn’t take a genius to see how the wingnut crowd is going to spin this one — it’s not the Secret Service doing their jobs, it’s Obama being a racisty racist again, because that’s how racist he is.

Never mind that Obama’s reception from the NALEO audience was overwhelmingly positive — in the closed loop of the wingnut Bizarro universe, this is just more proof that they really hate him. The always effervescent Dan Riehl sums up the dunce point of view:

What was Obama’s security detail thinking? They took away the Latinos’ knives and forks before Obama entered and spoke, but there’s no mention of “shivs.” You know what those people are capable of, … right? Man, his popularity really must be down.

Yeah, that’s it. His popularity must be down among Latinos.
