Birther Loon Donald Trump’s RNC Appearance Canceled Due to Weather

There are still plenty of Birthers to take up the slack, though

I’m sure there are some Republican bigwigs saying prayers of thanks tonight for the hurricane, since it let them gracefully cancel Donald Trump’s clown show, whatever it was going to be. (Latest word was that he was going to appear with an Obama imitator and yell “You’re fired!” Get it?)

But the maestro of hair is making sure the vitally important Obama birth certificate craziness is still front and center. You know that “joke” of Mitt Romney’s, that nobody ever asked to see his birth certificate? Well, Donald thinks it may not have been a joke.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference in Sarasota, Fla., Donald Trump said Mitt Romney’s birth certificate quip in Michigan last week may have been a lighthearted joke, but that the issue of President Obama’s birth certificate is far from settled.

“What I think doesn’t matter — he has his views and many other people disagree with him as you know,” Trump said. “…But he did make a joke, and some people thought it might not be a joke. It happens to be an issue that a lot of people believe in … many, many people believe in it so maybe I would have handled it differently, but he’s running for president and I’m with him 100 percent.”

Trump, who has focused on Obama’s birth certificate in the past, said that whether he raises the issue again going forward is an open question.

“Let’s just say this there’s a huge group of people that are not believers in what [Obama] did, what he said and where he came from. We’ll see what happens. Well see what happens over the coming weeks and months.”

Have I mentioned recently that Birtherism == Racism?

The trip to Florida wasn’t a total waste for Trump, though; he was there to be honored as “Statesman of the Year” by the Sarasota GOP. And that’s definitely not a joke.

I write the music I like. If other people like it, fine, they can go buy the albums. And if they don't like it, there's always Michael Jackson for them to listen to. -- Frank was talking about his music from the Yellow Shark.
