Sarah Palin Tells President Obama to Grow a Dick

Yes, really
Wingnuts • Views: 32,581

At her Facebook page, the ever-classy Sarah Palin responds to the Libyan embassy attack by saying it’s time for President Obama to grow a dick.

It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one.

- Sarah Palin

GOP Rep. On Claim That Obama ‘Sympathizes’ With Libyan Attackers: ‘I Wouldn’t Make That Charge’

WASHINGTON, DC — Mitt Romney’s accusation that President Obama “sympathizes” with those who attacked and killed four Americans in Libya, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, is finding few backers on Capitol Hill, even among Republicans.

ThinkProgress spoke with Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-TX), a conservative GOPer and a member of the House Tea Party Caucus, today about whether he believes Obama indeed “sympathizes” with those who attacked the United States, as Romney charged last night. “I don’t,” Marchant replied. We asked if that was a fair allegation to make: “I wouldn’t make that charge against him,” said the Texas congressman.

Man, when you can't get a Tea Party Congressman from Texas to agree with your attack on Obama, you know you've fucked up.

‘It Makes Me Sick’: Actress in Muhammed Movie Says She Was Deceived, Had No Idea It Was About Islam

Cindy Lee Garcia, an actress from Bakersfield, Calif., has a small role in the Muhammed movie as a woman whose young daughter is given to Muhammed to marry. But in a phone interview this afternoon, Garcia told us she had no idea she was participating in an offensive spoof on the life of Muhammed when she answered a casting call through an agency last summer and got the part.

The script she was given was titled simply Desert Warriors.

"It was going to be a film based on how things were 2,000 years ago," Garcia said. "It wasn't based on anything to do with religion, it was just on how things were run in Egypt. There wasn't anything about Muhammed or Muslims or anything."

In the script and during the shooting, nothing indicated the controversial nature of the final product. Muhammed wasn't even called Muhammed; he was "Master George," Garcia said. The words Muhammed were dubbed over in post-production, as were essentially all other offensive references to Islam and Muhammed.

For example, at 9:03 in the trailer, Garcia berates her husband, who wants to send their daughter to Muhammed: "Is your Muhammed a child molester?" she says in the final product. But the words are dubbed over what she actually said. The line in the script—and the line Garcia gave during filming—was, "is your God a child molester," Garcia told us today.

Garcia was horrified when she saw the end product, and when protesters in Libya killed four U.S. Embassy employee.

"I had nothing to do really with anything. Now we have people dead because of a movie I was in. It makes me sick."

Obama vows to track down ambassador's killers

Libya's Deputy Interior Minister Wanis Al-Sharif said U.S. staff were rushed to a Benghazi safe house after the initial attack on the consulate and an evacuation plane with U.S. commando units then arrived from Tripoli to evacuate them from the safe house.

"It was supposed to be a secret place and we were surprised the armed groups knew about it. There was shooting," Sharif said. Two U.S. personnel were killed there, he said. Two other people were killed at the main consular building and between 12 and 17 wounded.

The attack raised questions about the future U.S. diplomatic presence in Libya, relations between Washington and Tripoli, and the unstable security situation after Gaddafi's overthrow.

Witnesses said the mob included tribesmen, militia and other gunmen. Hamam, a 17-year-old who took part in the attack, said Ansar al-Sharia cars arrived at the start of the protest but left once fighting started.

"The protesters were running around the compound just looking for Americans, they just wanted to find an American so they could catch one," he said.

"We started shooting at them, and then some other people also threw hand-made bombs over the fences and started the fires in the buildings," he said.

"There was some Libyan security for the embassy outside but when the hand-made bombs went off they ran off and left." Hamam said he saw an American die in front of him in the mayhem that ensued. He said the body was covered in ash.

So yes, the Libyan government and defense services were attempting to defend the ambassador.

The Anti-Muhammad Video: Ridiculous, and Now Deadly Serious

"...This afternoon, the cast and crew of Innocence of Muslims said they were “100% not behind this film” and that they had been misled about its content and subject. One actress seen in the trailer told Gawker the cast members were told they were performing in a movie about ancient Egyptian life, whose lead character was not Muhammad but “Master George.” Earlier today, On the Media’s Sarah Abdurrahman noticed that the trailer’s clumsy dialogue edits and dubs largely involved dialogue with references to Muhammad and religion—it would seem, to conceal the nature of the film from the very people making it. The pseudonymous filmmaker “Sam Becile,” whatever his true identity, was apparently out not just to influence world events but to put one over on his own cast."

At some point, America must come to terms with the horrible mistake that was made in 2008, when John McCain gambled with our national security by selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate. I really believe that lots of the current Republican craziness is due to not having come to terms with this, as a nation. We cannot "move on" without appreciating what an incredible mistake was made by the selection of Sarah Palin. An increase in support from women as well as independents gives Barack Obama a post-convention advantage over challenger Mitt Romney. The president receives a five percentage-point bounce among women and a 12-point bounce among independents, in a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Overall, the Obama-Biden ticket tops the Romney-Ryan ticket by 48 to 43 percent among likely voters. The president’s advantage is within the poll’s margin of sampling error.

Republicans Shake Their Heads At Romney’s Libya Attack On Obama: He ‘Stepped In It’

While the Romney campaign’s unofficial press secretary Jen Rubin tried to rally some troops around the GOP presidential nominee, it doesn’t look like the day is turning out to be a big winner for Romney as Republicans are turning out en masse to denounce his attacks:

“I don’t think President Obama sympathizes with those who attacked us. I don’t think any American does.” — Former Bush administration DHS Secretary Tom Ridge

“In the wake of this violence, the rush by Republicans — including Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and scores of other conservative critics — to condemn him for policies they claim helped precipitate the attacks is as tortured in its reasoning as it is unseemly in its timing.” — Mark Salter, former chief of staff and top campaign aide to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)

“They were just trying to score a cheap news cycle hit based on the embassy statement and now it’s just completely blown up,” said a very senior Republican foreign policy hand, who called the statement an “utter disaster” and a “Lehman moment” — a parallel to the moment when John McCain, amid the 2008 financial crisis, failed to come across as a steady leader. … “This is just unbelievable — when they decide to play on it they completely bungle it.”

But [a former Romney adviser] does have a good read on Romney–a man with a healthy sense of pride, and who’s already invested in the idea of Obama as an appeaser. It was the only plausible explanation the adviser could think of for how “they stepped in it,” in his words.

“I don’t feel that Mr. Romney has been doing himself any favors, say in the past few hours, perhaps since last night. Sometimes when really bad things happen, when hot things happen, cool words or no words is the way to go.” — Conservative commentator Peggy Noonan

“This is a time when we all should reflect on those who continue to give, even the last measure, of service and sacrifice, to promoting and defending America’s interests abroad. This is above all a reminder that politics should end at the waters edge.” — Jon Huntsman, former Republican governor of Utan and 2012 GOP presidential candidate.

But in the last paragraph: "For the total sample, it has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points." This is also the margin of error reported on the RealClearPolitics entry on the poll.

Yes, because our embassies have never, ever, been attacked before that.
Nope!

Reading the SA thread about Sean Smith is really getting to me. I don't mean to hold him out as special over the others that died there, but he's the only one I'm learning about. People are talking about him as a consummate diplomat, a man with the patience of a saint, who moderated the debate and discussion forum, made the case for his political views in an honest and straightforward way, and was a good friend, proud father, and loving husband. He was also an Air Force veteran.

More than one person has said that it was his postings that caused them to change their political views and to realize how far the right wing had gone AWOL.

His life has been cut short, but it was not a life without purpose. He helped people, served his country, and he got things done. An American to be proud of. He died not just for his country but for the ideals we hold in common.

Mitt has had a bad couple weeks, and it will get worse. In an hour the president will host a short webcast thanking his volunteers for their early efforts and announcing that tomorrow is the official start of his campaign to take Mr. Romney's lunch money.

If President Obama wins re-election this November (and I hope he does), I would love it if he called in to Limbaugh's show, and simply say, "I drink your milkshake."

(Sorry; I was watching There Will Be Blood earlier)

She and her husband, my brother Judas, are serious wingnuts as well, heavily involved in religious right politics. They don't dare run for office, though, for fear that I will appear like a skeleton falling out out of the rafters.

Don't forget your parachute.

You mean he's just been playing so far?

This is gonna be good.

Palin would be more correct if she commented on Romney's dick....and the tread marks form him stepping on it.

As I noted on my FB--this is the best inspiration for political slashfic ever.

(I guess Todd just isn't doing it for her at home anymore... and I wonder when Michelle's gonna go kick the crap outta her..)

re: #40 Big Steve

Agreed.....and I do believe it to be rather sexist where in this day and age it seems to be all the rage for female politicians to be referring to male genitalia ("grow a pair, "big stick" "man up") when the reverse, any male politician referring to a female body part, is considered gross and misogynistic.

It is also sexist in that it implies that only men can be strong, brave, and protect the weak. IOW, this foul-mouthed loser (& she is obviously both!) is openly stating that she, as a woman, is not fit to lead. Well, we already knew that, but it was nice of her to confirm it. If only she were smart enough to recognize that that's just what she did....

I predict that we will soon learn that the hate provoking, bigoted film that caused the furor in the Muslim world was produced by our own Christian extremists. Islamic extremists and Christian extremists are both terrorists.

It now appears that the film was just a sucky film and all the hate-provoking, bigoted stuff was dubbed in afterwards.
