#Breitbart.com: President Obama Is Committing Treason

Nuts
Wingnuts • Views: 26,101

Today at the always-berserk breitbart.com — a post by “Virgil” lavishing praise on the paranoid far right Cold War screed “None Dare Call It Treason,” complete with a photo of President Obama looking sinister: Obama, Egypt, and Israel: None Dare Call It Treason, Fifty Years Later.

It goes on and on, seemingly forever, so I’ll spoil it for you and let you know that the point of it all, when you finally wade through the crazy right wing verbiage, is that President Obama is a secret commie who’s betraying the United States.

Like every other post at breitbart.com.

By the way, the main premise of “None Dare Call It Treason” was that America’s pro-communist elites were selling out the country and that we were destined to lose the Cold War as a result.

Which, as we know, turned out to be 100% wrong.

Can we call these RWNJ shitheads un-American now?

To me, what they are and have been spewing about the president and about their vision for the nation is completely against what the Founders intended and against over 200 years of American history.

So it reads like a 2012 GOP ad?

Charles, the Google Ad for Buck's new page is for that odious book by the racist Colin Flaherty "White Girl Bleed Alot". Buck didn't do anything wrong (the page is just a non-offensive photo Buck took of a car stuck on a roadway median), but you'll probably want to talk to Google once again about the ads they're running.

Obama was put in power by Islamists, he is owned by Islam and they are now blackmailing him with his secret past and he will not dare overstep their lead.

I am constantly surprised how Breitbart.com got so much crazier after Andy shuffled off the ol' mortal coil. Apparently he was a restraining influence there. Cogitate on that for a minute.

25 researchok  Sun, Sep 16, 2012 1:45:48pm

I read the Breibart piece twice- it's over the top.

Vigil is presenting ideology, speculation and agenda weaving them together as fact- patently untrue, if for no other reason than Virgil does not have all the relevant information, history and background- and never will.

Some of the critique has merit, most is Monday morning quarterbacking and the rest is over the top.

Some agendas are predicated on reality. Others are predicated on eliciting a desired response and still others are predicated on bullshit.

Virgil's post is 95% of the latter two and 5% of reality.

In other worlds, he's wasting everyone's time on a trip to Fantasyland.

26 Gus  Sun, Sep 16, 2012 1:46:43pm

LOFL!

And then there’s top White House aide Valerie Jarrett, who seems to run the White House. She is a leftist, descended from leftists, long associated with leftists--and as we have seen, the left veers toward the multicultural and towards a Fanon-esque romanticism of anti-Western violence. And, for what it’s worth, she was born in Iran. As with Obama, how could someone with such a background rise so high, with so few questions?

What a freaking idiot. Too funny. These screed is one of the most pathetic things I've read in days.

Jarrett was born in Shiraz, Iran to American parents James E. Bowman and Barbara Taylor Bowman. Her father, a pathologist and geneticist, ran a hospital for children in Shiraz, 1950, as part of a program where American doctors and agricultural experts sought to help jump-start developing countries' health and farming efforts. When she was five, the family moved to London for one year, returning to Chicago in 1963.

They really are in full-blown desperation mode. This along with the Freepers citing that poll where Dukakis was leading Bush by 17 in an effort to convince themselves that Romney still has hope. The problem with that? Romney is the modern day Dukakis... And he's not ahead at all by any means.

re: #170 Killgore Trout

Pamela Geller's Blog Solicited Funds For anti-Muhammad Movie
Kos kidz note that this is not necessarily the same movie, I'm pretty sure it isn't. The solicitation in from Feb this year, as I recall the movie that caused the riots was filmed last year. I suppose there might have been a blending of the two projects but there's no proof of that.

I was listening to NPR in the car the other day, and they put forward a narrative that it was actually an associate of Terry Jones who was responsible for taking the movie, that had previously failed to garner much attention, and translating it into Arabic and then personally promoting it in the Arab media:

[Link: www.npr.org...]

BLOCK: Carrie, there's another well-known anti-Muslim activist involved in this story and that's Terry Jones, a Florida pastor who notoriously burned a copy of the Quran. What's his connection?

KAHN: Right, this is where the story moves across the country to Florida where Jones lives. And Terry Jones told NPR that the producer of the film got a hold of him a few weeks ago and asked him if he would include it in an event Jones was holding on 9/11. Jones says he was happy to oblige.

BLOCK: And, Carrie, one more character to talk about here and that's a self-described leader of the Coptic Christian community in Virginia, Morris Sadek. Who is he?

KAHN: He lives outside D.C. And according to Terry Jones, they're good friends, and they can be seen in a lot of photos demonstrating against Muslims in front of the White House.

So through Jones and this 9/11 event, Sadek got a hold of the 14-minute movie trailer. And according to an email obtained by NPR, it was Sadek who sent the movie clip to dozens of journalists in Egypt. And Sadek says he runs this nonprofit. We couldn't find any nonprofit under his name.

And Coptic Christian leaders have told us - and we spoke to a few - saying that he absolutely has no following. His hate speech is hurting America, and it's hurting Coptic Christians around the country. And they have denounced him.

[Link: www.huffingtonpost.com...]

... the man who translated the film into Arabic, sent it to Egyptian journalists, promoted it on his website and posted it on social media was an obscure Egyptian-born Coptic Christian who lives near Washington and proudly touts his ties to Jones.

Morris Sadek describes himself as a human rights attorney and president of a small group called the National American Coptic Assembly, based in Chantilly, Va. Sadek says on his website that he is a member of the Egyptian and Washington, D.C. bar associations who has "defended major human rights cases" including the late Coptic Pope Shenouda III, who died in March.

But fellow Copts depict Sadek as a fringe figure and publicity hound whose Islamophobic invectives disrupt Copts' quest for equal religious rights in Egypt.

"Mr. Sadek is a maverick who belongs to a very narrow extreme current of Coptic activists," the Washington-based group Coptic Solidarity said in a statement. "He likes to use inflammatory and abrasive language to insult Muslims and Islam. As his actions agitate more the Islamic extremists, some people wonder if he is not in fact working to fulfill their agenda."

Sadek was at the Park 51 protests 9/11/10, waving a crucifix & bible and screaming: “Islam is evil! Islam is a cult religion!” I haven't really checked, but I'd be shocked if he isn't connected to Geller in some way.

Sounds like a lot of work and tasty work too. Reminds me of the effort my mom put out every Christmas eve when I was a kid-cooking from scratch for hours and hours. Sweet potato pie with homemade crust, roast turkey, homemade corn bread, ham straight from the butcher shop (we actually had a butcher in our neighborhood back then) and nuts, fruit, and candy bowls.

My get off the lawn moment: kids raised after the rise of the fast food chains don't know what they are missing by not having home-cooked meals even for holidays.

But congrats for a job well done. Cooked so slowly, eaten so quickly....

Funny. Last I checked Obama's White House has killed far more Islamists than Bush.

Neither White House has killed anyone. But if you measure by the number of Islamists killed, to include battle fatalities in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bush comes up on top. Obama has launched more drone strike, but most Islamists killed since 2001 have been those killed during ground combat.

re: #77 CarolJ

Some things it just doesn't make sense to make "from scratch" any more. Like gefilte fish: I used to grind the fish myself, mix it with bread crumbs, celery, onion & carrots and boil for hours! Now you can buy it in a frozen loaf and just stick it in the oven. (The jarred stuff was always gross)

I still make my own challah from scratch even though I work full time. The local bakery is under new management and their challah just isn't as good as it used to be back in the day, so I bake my own. My daughters-in-law are all scared of me!

Yeah, Bush may have had more terrorists killed under his watch, but the kills under Obama's administration have had more impact as they've mostly have been senior leaders of terrorist organizations, while it's mostly have been the grunts that were killed during Bush's term, to overly-simplify things.

I don't have my recipe handy, but it is dill, sour cream, oil, sugar and a bit of this and that. However if you have an Ikea nearby you can find the real thing in jars; and don't forget to try the Grav Lax (cured) with it. Also usually available there, but I think I put the recipe in the first LGF cook book if you want to make your own. Easy and much cheaper when salmon is on sale. You don't need the most expensive wild caught for this.

Interesting. I was thinking about the Secret Service while reading those comments. The intensity of some of those people is disturbing.

There was a lot of that sort of thing in response to Glenn Reynolds calling for Pres. Obama to resign yesterday. I sometimes stop by Ann Althouse's place because I find it fascinating seeing her progressively becoming more and more radicalized. She covered the Reynolds story suggesting her approval. There were, and still are, comments like this under her post:

Pamela Geller is reporting that Ambassador Stevens was tortured and raped before he was killed in Benghazi. Her source is a Lebanese tabloid.

This is spreading like a virulent disease in the wingnut blogs.

Even if it is true Geller- nor anyone else- has any business posting this.

There is such a thing as boundaries- how about we allow the families of the people we say we care about to have some dignity?

Does knowing this change anything or will knowing this inflame, rather than mediate the situation?

Right now all I can think of are the families and children of these fallen messengers of freedom. They do not deserve to be dragged about and used as fodder in a war of hate.

To the people who did this, if it is true, I say you're time will come, on this earth or in the Heavenly Courts.

Your time will come.

And the same applies to those who would exploit such ugliness.

Boundaries people, there are boundaries,

So true. With better refrigeration and quick shipping, you can get stuff made the same day shipped to you overnight, like genuine New York, New York Cheesecake or aged steaks.

My mom made crusts from scratch. These days I could probably just buy a homemade crust from some bakery made the same day and skip a step or two. Just make the crust, freeze it and take it home the same day.
Probably can't taste the difference, and saves time as well.

My brother does homemade pie crusts - picked it up from my mother - who learned it from a pastry chef who was a friend of the family. I'm lazy and use frozen crusts from either Wegman's or Trader Joe's that thaw, roll out, and get put in my pie pans. And those are much better than the frozen crusts you used find in markets.

It seems extremely unlikely. From what we know of the time-line, the ambassador was thought to still be alive when he was rescued from the safe room, at least enough that the rescuers rushed him to a hospital. If the terrorists had had him in their power for any significant amount of time, there would have been no doubt at all that he was dead.

It's worth noting that the the title of that article is a reference not only to the original, but to the "Update", None Dare Call It Treason: 25 Years Later, which argued that glasnost, perestroika , and the incipient collapse of the Soviet Union were all a secret communist plot to lull the West into a sense of complacency.

Incidentally, if you look the book up on Amazon, most of the reviewers are pretty certain that this is totally true and the Soviet Union will come back any day now, bigger and badder than ever.

Seriously, if these people didn't exist, you'd have to make them up. Of course, Stanley Kubrick already did.
