Oh, for Pete’s Sake - Now Romney Says Abortion Isn’t Part of His Agenda

Romney takes yet another stand

Oh, good grief. This is getting ridiculous.

Now Mitt Romney is trying to say that no abortion legislation is part of his agenda.

“There’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda,” the GOP presidential candidate told The Des Moines Register’s editorial board during a meeting today before his campaign rally at a Van Meter farm.

But by executive order, not by legislation, he would reinstate the so-called Mexico City policy that bans U.S. foreign aid dollars from being used to do abortions, he said.

I won’t bother tracking down the links that show he’s lying again; if you’ve paid attention at all to Romney’s many conflicting statements on abortion, you already know that he’s just saying anything he thinks he has to say to get elected, depending on the audience. The man is made of pure cynical ambition.
