Results look as expected thus far. Obama however is performing better than I expected in Florida thus far and he's ahead by 3 point currently with 35 percent in.

That hold true to the end, it's pretty much over. Willard could take Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado and still fall short. And if Obama takes Ohio too, then we might see this whole thing called before midnight.

A reminder I saw on Twitter a while ago.......Don't start worrying about the Virginia numbers for a while. The Republican-heavy areas apparently always report earlier than the Dems.

I suspect it won't be a long night.

I did go vote this afternoon, and was surprised by how quiet it was. All 5 booths were full, but there was no line. When I went to sign in most of the people listed on the same sheet as I had printed by their name "MAIL BALLOT". Only about 1/4th were going to be warm bodies to begin with, and most them I noticed had already voted.

Anyway, with all the early balloting and absentee balloting the numerous election clerks around this country will have a substantial number of votes lined up for counting/announcing at poll closing times.

As far as the Presidential race is concerned, I expect the answer to be pretty clear within an hour after polls close out here (i.e., midnight on the east coast.)

Speaking as a Canadian, that appears odd to me. My thought was, "Look at how divided the votes are. There's very few close races. One candidate or the other wins by a big, often huge margin."

Is that how it usually works? If not, the political divide in the U.S. is shocking to me.

I was going to say earlier that I felt bad for Frum in coming days, as moderates are very likely to be the target of the Tea Party's ire in the face of what they're not going to no doubt view as Willard's "proof" that moderation is the wrong path to greatness for the GOP.

There are actually 2 questions on the ballot for it. First is Status Quo vs Change Relationship. The 2nd is Change how (Independence, statehood, or more autonomy).

Statehood might be winning question 2, but if question 1 goes to status quo it wont matter. Can you find anywhere that has that breakdown?

Blood Angels red with a Nuln Oil wash, then drybrusing with red and orange. Gold trim. They are darker then the standard World Eater palette, but still very Khornate. They get a lot of coverage in the new Chaos Codex. It seems they went insane from poltergeist activity and whisperings at night after a massive world wide cult purging, and ended up trying to stop the haunting through bloodshed. Khorne accepts his gifts from all, of course...

Nice. I always used the darker reds for Khornates, like the scab red and tin, then highlight them with brighter colors.

Redoing Night Lords for my daughters, using regal blue with an ink wash for a gloss blue armor, with tin brushed with gold, with a blue-white mix for the lightning patterns.

If Puerto Rico ends up getting Statehood 50% +1, We are going to have to confront Public Law 62-5.

371 Pawn of the Oppressor  Tue, Nov 6, 2012 5:53:13pm

Wow, so PR voted for Statehood? That's interesting. I presume that the U.S. government would have to approve the application somehow, right? Hold it to a vote & have the President sign them in?

I'm worried about Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Thus far, Obama is way up in PA.

Thanks.

I'm glad I live in Canada. We have our divisions but even in Quebec most don't hate the rest of the country.

Toronto on the other hand is hated by everybody.

I love Toronto.

Guess facebook was wrong- have you seen that shitty meme? The one that says that Romney will get more votes after 5pm cause his supporters work for a living??? Ack!

I some better numbers coming in now. Good. They're blue on my map. :)

My 11 year old is sitting next to me biting his nails. He was glad to see that Massachusetts (our state) gave Obama 11 votes. Man, I'm nervous.

Where did they dig up Ken Blackwell's crazy ass?
He's on MSNBC, and they're looking at him like he's nuts.

Screaming and constantly interrupting does that to sane peeps.

Florida's giving me a fucking hard on. If this holds, I'm going to be dancing a happy dance.

I'll be making my O face.

Gonna call Virginia for Romney.

I'd look at the county breakdown before making that call. Some of the large NoVA precincts are at 0-1% counted.

Of course. Why give up a meme once you go all in on it?

GO LEAFS GO! :P

Trust me, as a Canadian now living here in America, the political scene is significantly different and WAY more partisan than anything I saw up North.

For anyone interested in some non U.S. election coverage, two good Canadian sites are:

www.ctvnews.ca

and

www.cbc.ca

re: #324 DisturbedEma

Still can't bring myself to harsh on him too much, he reminds me of what I could've been

I can. Hell, I was a dyed in the wool Republican. I voted McCain/(shudder)
Palin in 08. Then Obama won it and my party went not only off the rails, over the cliff but they then started digging to the lowest depths of depravity they could reach.

I pulled the rip-cord at that point. DF on the other hand wants to smack into the ground at terminal velocity.

For what? Nation be damned, Party comes first?

Fuck that.

Florida not looking so good...

Illinois looking good. Joe Walsh down by 10... but Jesse Jackson Jr. up 74-14. Sigh. Sigh? Only because I don't know about this Woodworth character... JJJr. has been in rehab/dealing with clinical depression.
