And in light of the anti-woman GOP Congressional agenda getting knocked on its heels, Reid wastes no time:
Reid Calls On Republicans To Drop Obstruction Strategy In Wake Of Senate Defeat
In the wake of a very poor Republican showing in the Senate, and President Obama’s re-election, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is calling on the Senate GOP to drop its underlying strategy of obstructing the Democratic agenda.
“Now that the election is over, it’s time to put politics aside, and work together to find solutions,” Reid said in a statement. “The strategy of obstruction, gridlock and delay was soundly rejected by the American people. Now, they are looking to us for solutions. We have big challenges facing us in the months ahead. Democrats and Republicans must come together, and show that we are up to the challenge. This is no time for excuses. This is no time for putting things off until later. We can achieve big things when we work together. And the middle class is counting on us to achieve big things in the months ahead. That is what the American expect - and that is what the American people deserve.”

President Obama is as much a socialist as Karl Rove is, give it a break.
Besides I don't hear you bitching about the socialist military, police, fire, water, highway, library, university, sewage, social security, etc, aspects of American life.
Socialism in moderation is not a bad thing at all, it is merely the acknowledgement that some things that cannot be funded by individuals or business should be paid for jointly by everyone for the good of the community.

Thing is, not even an hour ago, the popular vote count on Drudge had Willard up by about 250K votes. Now he's down to little over 120K. It's gonna be like '04 all over again, the GOP waking up tomorrow morning to wonder how the fuck that they could have lost when they "know" everybody hates Obama.

You lost this election despite all the mega millions your hate and propaganda machines could spew. You didn't loose because your boy wasn't "conservative enough" he was as douchey a douche as you guys produce and would have been quite happy to go along with the truly evil stuff that monsters like Ryan would want to do.
You didn't loose because Democrats "stole it." Despite your party's best efforts at voter suppression, you lost anyway.
The reason you lost is because more than 50% of America isn't as stupid, backwards or hateful as you. They know the evil crap you pulled that hurt this nation. They know how unpatriotic you are. They know how racist you are ad they know what sorts of ridiculous religious nuts you allow to dictate to your party. They also know that rape is a very bad thing, that women get pregnant from it and that women still don't make as much as men for the same work.
More and more are looking out their windows and realizing that climate change is real too.

This is bizarre.
He's holding out to the bitter end, in the hope that somehow, he can litigate...something. Really, I'm not seeing any margins in enough states that he could conceivably win. And the popular vote's turned against him.

I just got this email from Townhall.com. Why I still get these emails --well, it's good to know what the other side is spewing:
The Fight is Far From Over
President Obama has won re-election by winning Ohio and Colorado. The fight is not over for conservatives, however. Republicans will retain the House of Representatives, and strong conservatives are in powerful fights to win. Allen West, Michele Bachmann and Mia Love are locked in important battles for their seats in the House of Representatives. If good conservatives get sent to Washington tongiht, they will provide powerful counterweights to President Obama.
What's more, there are still close races for conservatives to win and wrest control of senate seats from Democrats. In both North Dakota and Montana, Republicans have the opportunity to shake Harry Reid's confidence and send a message that these far-left liberals are not save.
It's also important to ask what a second Obama term will bring. Gun owners, in particular, have a lot to fight for, as Katie Pavlich writes.
Jeff Flake - a major opponent of big government spending - Wins
Major fight coming in congress that conservatives need to stay strong on

Dear delusional right wing genetic throwback,
You lost this election despite all the mega millions your hate and propaganda machines could spew.
All that anti-science crap of yours has been handed a bad day by nature itself. God willing, we begin to act as a nation on it and put your oil baron buddies out of business.
Past that, I am off to wake up the fiancee and have some victory sex.

Socialism is when the government takes conrrol of production. Obama has done that.
Actual socialism as practiced by democracies throughout history is essential to civilization itself. You cannot have a society be it city, state, or national without some degree of socialism, you can't. Without the shared burdens and shared costs of necessary services all you have is barbarism.
We aren't talking about the boogey man "it is exactly the same as communism" version of socialism as portrayed on Fox news.
Civilization depends on socialism, you cannot have one without the other.

The GOP could end up with around 238 house seats (if all the close races in which they are leading end up in their column.)
That's down from 242 but not much.
Redistricting really hurt the Dems this year, and for the rest of the decade.
This is not good.
Though there is joy tonight that so many backwards types lost, it is important to remember that the tea partiers took control in 2010 because of low turnout.

The world ends in December anyways.
Does that mean no more undead?
There might be an unworld --no?

Listening to CBS. Random talking head blaming gridlock on Obama, making sure to say he doesn't have a mandate, and saying we have to reduce the deficit.
Yes. This is a mandate. They sent the GOP back to the woodshed.

I take it that you can't respond with specifics on how the government has taken over the methods of production in this economy, or how the years of highest corporate profits ever means the government is taking over, hm?
mahas redirected government funds to give to green projects such as solyndra and A123 an advantage which resulted in bankruptcy. We need energy independence but oil drilling leases were cancelled.
Corporrations lay off employees in uncertain times so look for more of the same. Obama hsa asdone nothing to r eassure business that he is on their side.

Oh you feel our feel!!! lol, thanks for staying up.
Oh totally. Couldn't have missed this - we are totally feeling it with you. To us it looks like this was ugly old Fox News-addled Americas last chance power drive. The new America has really stepped forward and we don't think it's going back now. Great, great times!

By the way: I've still got the MSNBC live stream running, and I'm relativeley unacustomened to American advertisements.
And: Holy shit, that Adult Friend Finder ad is fucking *offensive*.
(I'd prefer Summer, by the way.)

Is this economic claptrap all you got.
Simple arithmetic. Add it up. Compare it to the wider economy.
You don't have to take off your shoes to do this; a simple calculator will suffice.

Senate: Balance of Power
Democrats: Before 53 / Now 54
Net Change: -1
