Hilariously Crazed Wingnut Rant of the Day

To the bunker, patriots!
Wingnuts • Views: 32,075

Courtesy of the always-diverting Free Republic, this is definitely our hilariously insane wingnut rant of the day, as one of the Freepers is PREPARING FOR POST OBAMA ELECTION.

Today, I instructed my wife to prepare for post Obama election by doing the following:

1. Close out our bank accounts, checking accounts, savings account.

2. Eliminate and exist from all medical service programs, insurance, and destroy all medical records and ID numbers.

3. Destroy and toss all cell phones.

4. Take out and smash all black boxes in our vehicles. Will put on the road my 69 mustaang.

5. Cut up all credit cards and call to stop all transactions.

6. Call and stop propane gas shipments, will now burn firewood. Already have more than 500 cord stacked as a backup.

7. Buy only the bare necessaities and pay all bills with a money order.

8. Plan all travel areas, use back roads to avoid TSA agents.

9. Do not use landline telephone only in an emergency.

10. Call and turn off Direct TV.

11. End all computer web services.

12. Build a gate at the end of our driveway and keep it locked. Inform all friends and relatives to call first prior to a visit so the gate can be unlocked.

13. Get involved more heavily with local Tea Party to establish a third party, no more money to the GOP under any circumstance!

The list may be updated to include other more secret actions that the government need not know about here!

I hope he remembered to instruct wifey to lay in a supply of toilet paper. It’s the little things that matter most in a sealed bunker.

(h/t: Lidane.)

Sadly, I know people who would do this.

2 Obdicut  Thu, Nov 8, 2012 11:21:35am

How do you get involved without having phones?

It's not like it's that hard to get a prepaid cell phone.

3 Targetpractice  Thu, Nov 8, 2012 11:22:12am

So, how are his friends and family supposed to call him if he's tossed his cellphones and only uses the landline for emergencies? Smoke signals? Semaphore? Morse code with flashlights?

4 Gus  Thu, Nov 8, 2012 11:22:32am

If stacked, 500 cords of wood would be 2,000 feet high or equal to 3,830,026 pints of beer.

5 lawhawk  Thu, Nov 8, 2012 11:22:55am

Just remember, cash can be tracked.

All frequencies are regulated by the FCC (so good luck with your CB/wireless communications).

How can you call to shut off your various utility services when you're not supposed to use a phone.

How are you supposed to communicate with others who are supposed to do the same thing? Carrier pigeon? Passenger pigeon?

But how is this guy going to get along without the Master Chief in Halo 4?

/your sarcasm rating will vary

Because no one in history has ever been able to overcome a locked gate.

"Do not use landline telephone only in emergency." Wow. Getting back at Obama by apparently increasing his use of a landline telephone. That'll larn 'em.

It won't be much of a joke when the IRS shows up and demands you turn over your checking and savings account numbers so they can steal your money for Obamacare! Read the bill, this is exactly what the Bill demands from Americans.

won't be a joke when you are charged for “carbon credits” so you can heat your home!

As usual, conservatives are about 50? years behind.

It's like the immigration issue. Well, if it was such a big deal, you should have been paying attention back when they started printing ballots in Spanish, or maybe when you needed your crops harvested by undocumented people, or maybe, maybe way back just after the Mexican-American War.

Yes. And I'm not being sarcastic.

The GOP's entire raison d'être died when the Soviet Union collapsed and the Cold War ended. All their ideas are stuck in 1989, and it shows. Just look at the rhetoric about socialism and about commies they keep spewing daily on talk radio, and the way they look at the rest of the world.

A conservative friend of mine posted a similar map the other night, but without all the numbers on it. It just showed red and blue. He said it was proof that while Obama may have won, all the red patches proved that most of the country agreed with the GOP and with their way of thinking.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that the blue patches mostly correspond with the most heavily populated areas in the country.

Urban areas also have a higher population density. That's the point.

More people = more voters = higher numbers for the blue patches on the map. Sure, self-reliance and all that matters, but when it comes down to raw numbers, there are more people in the so-called blue areas of that map than in the red ones.

Look at Texas. There's a lot of red, but most of those counties are farmland or sparsely populated. The major cities and areas in this state are all blue on the map. Texas is poised to be a swing state in the next decade. The GOP ignores minority voters at their own peril.

LEO’s are not friends of Americans or their liberties! In Michigan, the SOP for State (storm) Troopers is to carry their civilian clothes in the trunk of their patrol vehicles so they can change in case of civil unrest.

LEO’s and their family of Unions have spent millions of dollars to get anti-gun legislation pushed through State legislatures and were the catalyst behind the “assault weapons Ban.”

The LEO’s are now pushing legislation to get the evil “AK-47” off the streets and out of the hands of American citizens.

No Sir, don't trust your local LEO’s!

However, to add to my prior list of his bonafides, he's a birther to boot (but that probably could have gone without saying)

Grr, trying to find the study paper I had read that details this.

Anyway the intended context is the more personal day to day perspective. Keep in mind rural areas get the new technology last. NYC had lights long before the Tennessee river valley. Broadband was far more common in cities than farm areas. Maybe still is.

In rural areas help is not just a door away, it's a mile or more. Often paramedics and firefighters have longer response times out there. You have less access to workers like plumbers and electricians.

Fox station tells Romney supporters how to ‘beat the traffic’ to Canada

In the Fox 23 “Beat the Traffic” segment on the morning after Obama won re-election, traffic reporter Jeff Brucculeri took a look at some of the delays around Tulsa before having some fun with disgruntled voters.

“We had some folks make a special request,” Brucculeri explained. “I know a lot people said that if their candidate lost the election, they’d be moving to Canada — not sure why, but that was some of the folks’ promises out there.”

So, the traffic anchor proceeded to give “the quickest and directest route” up north, where big government, same sex marriage and universal health are a part of everyday life.

Well, fun! I just got a pay check for being a poll worker on Tuesday. Huh, I thought it was a volunteer gig. Well, that'll help with the Christmas present fund. :D

Sorry I missed you in the 'how it's done' post! Thanks for your service, no less because it was paid!

Hey GOP, while you're figuring out why your approach didn't work with blacks and Hispanics, remember that it didn't work with Jews or Asians either.

I hadn't really known that much about Asian voting patterns before this so I don't know if this is a change. But that's another demographic group that's not going to be shrinking anytime soon.

That's either a very profitable bridge or his ego about it is big enough to just throw money away to support it.

Both. No, seriously, it is extremely profitable. Daily traffic is ~4000 autos (at $4.75 per) and ~10,000 trucks (at $9.75 per) per day, 365 days per year.

re: #179 Vicious Babushka

The Troll's bridge just happens to be the largest international border crossing in North America. And he fucking OWNS IT.

Think about it. Somebody said to him "Ya wanna buy a bridge?" and he said "Sure!" and then HE TOTALLY BOUGHT THE BRIDGE.

WTF, how did that even happen?

This asshat has been flaunting the law for years, and has been tossed in jail more than once because of it:

Mich. billionaire, 84, jailed over bridge dispute

Not to mention his intimidation efforts toward people who opposed his efforts, with the help of the Koch Brothers:

Conservative group: Fake eviction notices were 'meant to startle people'

The state director of the conservative group Americans for Prosperity offered no apologies today for papering homes in Detroit’s Delray district Monday with fake eviction notices.

Bearing the words “Eviction Notice” in large type, the bogus notices told homeowners their properties could be taken by the Michigan Department of Transportation to make way for the New International Trade Crossing bridge project. The NITC is the subject of debate in Lansing, and Americans for Prosperity is lobbying heavily against it.

Rephrased: the gross is in the vicinity of $100,000 per day, or ~$36,500,000 per year. Now look at him spending $5 million to keep it all in his control.

Routine pants-on-fire alert:

I happened to catch a few minutes of Rush Limbaugh today. He claimed that Iran had shot down a US drone, though the Pentagon announcement (the only primary source) says specifically that the drone was not hit.
He added ominously that this happened on November 1st but the news had been delayed until after the election, implying that the incident could, or should, have hurt Obama at the polls and we have yet another cover-up. Ooga booga!

The president’s campaign “succeeded by suppressing the vote,” Rove told Fox News. “They effectively denigrated Mitt Romney’s character, business acumen, experience.”

Ah, I see. Obama suppressed the vote for Romney by telling everybody what Romney stood for. Well, somebody had to do it. Romney was unintelligibly flip-floppy about it.

Has anyone told these FoxNews viewers that Canada has had in place pretty much everything that they are railing about hating about recently coming to fruition in the United States... for years?

Things like:
Nationalized Healthcare
Same-Sex marriage

Not to mention a effective tax rate (figuring in both VAT and income taxes) that is significantly higher than what is found in the United States.

Wait until they start paying ten bucks for a pack of smokes, they'll be headed back south faster than you can say "gubmint off my back."

re: #200 kirkspencer

It's a bit more profitable than that - 12,428 cars per day and 7,350 trucks daily (working off the 2010 figures).

With your figures, $4.75 per car and $9.75 per truck, you're looking at

$130,695 per day or $47,703,857.50 annually. Bridge maintenance isn't cheap, but figure he's still taking home quite a chunk of change as profit.

2. Eliminate and exist from all medical service programs, insurance, and destroy all medical records and ID numbers.

Maybe you think you can maintain control over your life by implementing these procedures...but you do not control your health, and even if you're "healthy" now, that all can change on a dime.
