Glenn Beck Rants Crazily About the Petraeus Scandal and the Muslim Brotherhood

Still loony
Wingnuts • Views: 30,321

Glenn Beck is well known around here as a raving freakazoid nut sandwich, and he doesn’t disappoint in this clip from Right Wing Watch, standing in front of his chalkboard and ranting about the secret connections that tie together all the strands of a vast conspiracy by the Muslim Brotherhood to trigger a global revolution.

See? And you thought it was just about David Petraeus gettin’ his swerve on. Little did you realize that the fate of civilization itself is at stake: Beck: Petraeus Scandal Is a Conspiracy to Discredit the Military.

UPDATE at 11/14/12 3:55:55 pm

The entire rambling disconnected rant is here, if you feel masochistic: Sex, Lies and Libya | TheBlaze TV. (h/t: Silvio.)

I notice that many of the rightwingers have pivoted off of the idea that President Obama was using the Petraeus resignation as an excuse to silence him in relation to testimony on the Benghazi attack.

I guess that they finally got it through their narrow minds that "unemployed" =/= "dead".

Then again, we get raving freakazoid nut sandwiches like Glenn Beck and Alex Jones, who still see a John Birch Society-type conspiracy around every corner and under every rock.

I fear that it is just the tip of the iceberg. Romney Blames Loss On Obama’s ‘Big Gifts’ To Minorities, Women

Mitt Romney has a simple explanation for donors as to why his presidential campaign came up short: President Obama gave out too much stuff.

According to reports in the Los Angeles Times and New York Times, the former Republican nominee said during a call with donors on Wednesday that Obama had been “very generous” in doling out “big gifts” to “the African American community, the Hispanic community and young people” as well as to women throughout his first term. Benefits such as access to “free health care,” guaranteed contraceptive coverage, more affordable student loans, and “amnesty for children of illegals,” all combined to give the president a decisive edge in popularity.

“The President’s campaign focused on giving targeted groups a big gift — so he made a big effort on small things,” Romney said. “Those small things, by the way, add up to trillions of dollars.”

Mitt's probably still pissed he had to fellate Adelson and the Koch brothers and still lost.

If Hamas continues to provoke Israel in order to score political points with their citizens then whatever happens is on them. What good does lobbing a few rockets or mortar shells into Israel do them? Does it accomplish anything other than removing any possible clear support for them from the international community?

Some day the Palestinians will realize that Gandhi and King had it right and promote non-violent resistance. Then Israel really will have something serious to worry about.

Good Lord the crazy is strong with this guy. I don't care what anyone says, the GOP won't change because the base won't change. They will still be crazy, resentful bigots who believe stupid and untrue things. If they GOP changes to attract new voters they will lose a ton of old voters in the process. The base of the GOP was once the base of the Democratic party and Democrats lost them when they became a fully progressive party on economic and social issues. The Dixiecrats and neo-Confederates won't change this time either. Neither party has ever been the choice of a majority of white Southerners and racial minorities at the same time.

So, if it comes down to a choice between going to war to leave America the looming craphole and enjoying the benefits of the America the Founding Fathers left to us, count me in!! I'm not willing to play this game that we are going to fix everything in another 2 or 4 years. We're not. Things are already so bad and trending downward that, in 4 years, there may not even be another presidential election because Dear Leader LIKES his paid vacation at the expense of the expense of the slaves.

What now exists cannot be undone at the ballot box, it can only be undone (unfortunately) with violence. Years ago, I was willing to give my life to protect a craphole. Today, I am MORE than willing to give my life trying to protect the freedom, liberty and representative republic called America that I grew up in.

The international community and especially the United States cannot give any support to a regime that uses terror for political purposes. For more than 60 years now terror has been used and failed, yet if things don't suddenly change for the better after 6 months of peace they abandon it and go right back to terror. It gains them nothing!

Fox actually went to court to defend themselves from a lawsuit and had their "news" legally ruled to be "entertainment." Part of the suit also involved whether or not they could knowingly lie on the air...

The court agreed with WTVT’s (Fox) argument “that the FCC’s policy against the intentional falsification of the news — which the FCC has called its “news distortion policy” — does not qualify as the required “law, rule, or regulation” under section 448.102.[...] Because the FCC’s news distortion policy is not a “law, rule, or regulation” under section 448.102

So because they are are an entertainment media service and not a news service they are allowed to knowingly report false information to the public.

re: #65 watching you tiny alien kittens are

And Oslo got them what?

Netanyahu did this in the 90's:

During his term as prime minister in the late 1990s, Netanyahu consistently reneged on commitments made by previous Israeli governments as part of the Oslo peace process, leading American peace envoy Dennis Ross to note that “neither President Clinton nor Secretary [of State Madeleine] Albright believed that Bibi had any real interest in pursuing peace.”

In a 2001 video, Netanyahu, reportedly unaware he was being recorded, said: "They asked me before the election if I'd honor [the Oslo Accords]," "I said I would, but ... I'm going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the '67 borders. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I'm concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone. Go argue."

Response to that? And again, Israel should face us to Deir Yassin and Al-Dawayima. And the Palestinians are a little bitter. How many of them were forced out of their homes, some they have been in them for a long time. The Palestinians no longer have a viable economy, and the proposed state in question is a bunch of cities choked and isolated by checkpoints.

The Palestinians no longer have a viable economy, and the proposed state in question is a bunch of cities choked and isolated by checkpoints.

I never said that the Israelis were dealing entirely fairly or in good faith, but without outside pressure they probably never will because there is no incentive for them to do so. Still Israel did eventually withdraw from Gaza and the West bank as agreed and the Palestinian National Authority did become a reality. Oslo did not promise statehood and left many items to be negotiated later, it was merely intended to be a baby step towards lasting peace and a fair settlement.

Meanwhile only Fatah even recognized the accord on the Palestinian side, everyone else simply continued to call for the destruction of Israel. In fact the attacks against Israel got worse after Oslo because of Palestinian groups who did not agree with the accord trying to undermine it. Israel partially used that as an excuse to continue building settlements and again we returned to more or less the status quo.

It is easy to say that Israel dealt in bad faith, but that does not explain the violent reaction from Palestinians to the accord even before that became apparent. It would seem that the Palestinians also must shoulder some of the blame.
