Already off topic... but, remember yesterday's Colbert, where the comedian mocked the Venker attack on "feminism"?

Well, guess what. Today the master of loudmouth idiocy went the Venker route anyway:

Limbaugh Cites Widely Mocked Article To Justify His Decades Of Sexism

[...]

On the November 30 edition of his syndicated radio show, Limbaugh read from a Fox News.com article by Suzanne Venker claiming that she has "accidentally stumbled upon a subculture of men who've told me, in no uncertain terms, that they're never getting married" because "women aren't women anymore" and arguing that "the dearth of good men, and ongoing battle of the sexes" is "women's fault." Venker cited as evidence that "for the first time in history, women have become the majority of the U.S. workforce. They're also getting most of the college degrees." Venker concluded that "women have the power to turn everything around. All they have to do is surrender to their nature - their femininity - and let men surrender to theirs."

I'm convinced that part of this whole "fiscal cliff" thing is that the media needs a big disaster story to keep their news programs' ratings up.

Secession petitions are a government plot so Obama can declare Martial law

It is even possible that the current round of secessionist petitions were begun, not by secessionists, but by those who want to increase the Federal government’s power. For, if those who are most concerned about the current direction of the government can be drawn away from constructive purposes into unproductive activities, then those whom they are opposing do in fact have more freedom to advance their agendas. In a worst case scenario, should such a secessionist movement get out of hand from their perspective, an overbearing government could consider the activities insurrection and declare martial law, something many have been suggesting is a district possibility.
