Pamela Geller More Incoherent Than Usual: “Hitlerian Press: Obama’s ‘The Second Coming’”

“Goosestepping Obama Tina Brown”
Wingnuts • Views: 30,608

On any given day, Pamela Geller’s site is overstuffed with hatred and incoherent ranting, but since today marks the second inauguration of the person she hates most, she’s in a proper frenzy. Her most recent semi-literate tirade: HITLERIAN PRESS: OBAMA’S ‘THE SECOND COMING’!!!!!

See if you can count the grammatical, spelling, punctuation and word usage errors in her crazed Hitler-laced diatribe; it’s fun! I’m picturing a row of little empty airplane bottles of gin next to her keyboard.

The Propaganda Ministry, through the Obama Press Chamber, has jumped the shark.

The new issue of Newsweek online (the print is understandably defunct), President Obama’s inauguration is deemed “The Second Coming.” Clearly the editor of the magazine, the goosestepping Obama Tina Brown has take the Wehrmacht Oath of Loyalty to the Obamessiah.

The writer of the article, Evan Thomas,  has imbued the divinity of Christ on Obama before (but I think Muhammad is better suited to Obama, IMO.) Back in June of 2009, naturally on MSNBC, Thomas asserted: “In a way, Obama’s standing above the country, above — above the world. He’s sort of God. He’s going to bring all different sides together.”

And we see how Obama has brought different sides together. No President has done more to divide the nation outside of Lincoln but that was to free a nation. Obama means to enslave it. Only the left could paint the epic failure that defines Obama’s reign as godly. The big lie, that’s what they do.

And the more  consistnetly wrong they are, the more accolades and power they get. The more right we are (and I have been proven right time and time again, the marginalized and demonized we are. Truth is the silver bullet to these vampires.

Wow! I’d add little [sic] notes, but they’d have to be after every other word. The constant hatred is eating away at her brain.

And by the way — silver bullets are for werewolves.

Could someone please give this gin-soaked harpy a history book? Bonus points if it’s not written by David Barton.

Geller is a symptom of a larger problem of xenophobia. It informs on the issues of racism and on anti-Islam. Fear of the other- the outsider. Her incessant attacks on Obama, the weird conspiracy theories, all play in to that fear, and play it up. It keeps the attention on her from others who see her as someone to rally around.

I’m sure it’s been said before But comparing the POTUS that is doing all he can to get troops out of nations and end wars to someone that started a war that saw over 50 million killed is well just disgusting. It does an un-imaginable injustice to the memory of those who died fighting that evil tyrant.

Doing it on a day that celebrates the ability of the most powerful nation on the planet to peacefully transition power…really I can’t come up with words to explain the level of shock and stupid I’m experiencing.

This is America, a land that I admire for its reliance on individual initiative and self reliance.

And a land where people and families with limited resources are exptected to negotiate on an equal footing with multi-million-dollar international corporations for terms of employment, health care or financial services.

GA is a “right to work” state (ahem, hahaha) so I get that part of it. But can an employer actually get away with firing someone for how they voted? Has that ever been challenged in court? I frankly think these stories are fat, honking lies, but I was just wondering if an employer can say “too bad you voted for the wrong guy, you’re fired” and honestly get away with it.

It’s a new legislative session all around the states in this land, which an mean only one thing…

Missouri assembly Republican Andrew Koenig proposes:

To amend chapter 170, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to teacher academic freedom to teach scientific evidence regarding evolution.

Section A. Chapter 170, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 170.335, to read as follows:
170.335. 1. The state board of education, public elementary and secondary school governing authorities, superintendents of schools, school system administrators, and public elementary and secondary school principals and administrators shall endeavor to create an environment within public elementary and secondary schools that encourages students to explore scientific questions, learn about scientific evidence, develop critical thinking skills, and respond appropriately and respectfully to differences of opinion about controversial issues, including biological and chemical evolution. Such educational authorities in this state shall also endeavor to assist teachers to find more effective ways to present the science curriculum where it addresses scientific controversies. Toward this end, teachers shall be permitted to help students understand, analyze, critique, and review in an objective manner the scientific strengths and scientific weaknesses of the theory of biological and hypotheses of chemical evolution.
2. Neither the state board of education, nor any public elementary or secondary school governing authority, superintendent of schools, or school system administrator, nor any public elementary or secondary school principal or administrator shall prohibit any teacher in a public school system of this state from helping students understand, analyze, critique, and review in an objective manner the scientific strengths and scientific weaknesses of biological or chemical evolution whenever these subjects are taught within the course curriculum schedule.
3. This section only protects the teaching of scientific information and this section shall not be construed to promote any religious or nonreligious doctrine, promote discrimination for or against a particular set of religious beliefs or nonbeliefs, or promote discrimination for or against religion or nonreligion. Scientific information includes physical evidence and logical inferences based upon evidence.
4. No later than the start of the 2014-15 school year, the department of elementary and secondary education shall notify all public school superintendents of the provisions of this section. Each superintendent shall then disseminate to all employees within his or her school system a copy of this section.

Face it, there is no way to study the Bible in a way that can be considered neutral: on one side, you have evangelicals taking every opportunity to praise its divine wonderfulness, on the other side you have secularists taking it to task for inconsitencies and contradictions.
In the middle you have historicists putting it all into its social, historical and political context, which also destroys a lot of people’s subjective interpretations of the Bible.
Then you have a history of how the Bible has been read and interpreted over the years, which really quickly turns into a sectarian clusterf*ck.

Then you have a history of how the Bible has been read and interpreted over the years, which really quickly turns into a sectarian clusterf*ck.

but on the other hand there is a considerable reading in of meaning which is in no way supported by the words of the text. e.g. original sin, invented by st augustine in the 4th or 5th century. if you ask christians where this is in the bible, they will say in the story of adam and eve. well, of course it’s not mentioned there, which is easy to demonstrate. answer?

“well, it doesn’t say it, but that’s what it means.”

WHAT DUMBASSES

[Embedded content]

DRL’s have been the norm on vehicles for the past 20 years.

Cars are different

Some run with only (what used to be called) the parking lights on like my older Saturn. I then have to manually put on the headlights when it starts to get dark. Others run with the headlights on anytime the vehicle os in gear, and still others any time you start the engine. My wifes car runs with the courtesy (parking) lights on whenever the engine is running and the headlights auto come on at dusk (she can also change that setting to have them manually come on whenever she wants. My sons car runs with no lights and also auto senses when it’s dark (again, he has the option)

then there is the teachings of jesus. unfortunately for evangelicals, jesus was a devout jew who preached a doctrine of radical love and kindness. this makes his sayings such as “if a man ask you for your shirt, give him your coat as well” poor grounds to justify a doctrine that preaches a militant jesus who wants you to burn homosexuals, refuse to pay into government charity funds, and will condemn you to the tortures of hell if you don’t profess the correct christian doctrine, none of which things jesus ever actually mentioned

I’d be willing to guess the Sikh temple shooter, the Unitarian Church shooter in TN, Jared Loughner, the white guys who intentionally killed only blacks—5 total— in Tulsa, Timothy McVeigh, et al. weren’t liberals or Dems.

I intentionally included only mass-shooters in my previous post in case the deniers claim it wasn’t an apples-to-apples comparison. Otherwise, I would have included McVeigh/Nichols, Tiller’s murderer, the Olympic Park bomber, and anthrax attacker.

There’s also the matter of all of the numerous far-right plots and organizations that were foiled by law enforcement before they had a chance to cause great loss of life.

108 Charles Johnson  Sun, Jan 20, 2013 2:30:16pm

I noticed in the overnight video thread with almost 700 comments that typing in the comment box is getting very sluggish. The slowdown is caused by the character counter - so I’ve been making some changes to optimize that function as much as possible.

One change is that the counter is not being updated on keydown now - if you watch as you type you’ll see that it only changes after you release the key.

I also made all the object lookups much quicker within the textCounter function. It results in a noticeable improvement in typing speed in longer threads — more than 50% better.

I like the way this guy thinks.

How should the president proceed then, if he wants to be bold? The Barack Obama of the first administration might have approached the task by finding some Republicans to deal with and then start agreeing to some of their demands in hope that he would win some of their votes. It’s the traditional approach. Perhaps he could add a good deal more schmoozing with lawmakers, too.

That’s the old way. He has abandoned that. He doesn’t think it will work and he doesn’t have the time. As Obama explained in his last press conference, he thinks the Republicans are dead set on opposing him. They cannot be unchained by schmoozing. Even if Obama were wrong about Republican intransigence, other constraints will limit the chance for cooperation. Republican lawmakers worried about primary challenges in 2014 are not going to be willing partners. He probably has at most 18 months before people start dropping the lame-duck label in close proximity to his name.

Obama’s only remaining option is to pulverize. Whether he succeeds in passing legislation or not, given his ambitions, his goal should be to delegitimize his opponents. Through a series of clarifying fights over controversial issues, he can force Republicans to either side with their coalition’s most extreme elements or cause a rift in the party that will leave it, at least temporarily, in disarray.

Apropos of nothing, it just occurred to me that the only valid criticism of Pres. Obama comes from what is pretty much labeled “the left”, e.g. climate change policy (or lack thereof), inadequate financial regs, and potential violations of civil liberties.

This is not to say all criticisms from “the left” are valid (e.g. drone debate - we can discuss when and where to use them, though I personally don’t agree with getting rid of the tactic completely), but every time you find a criticism of Obama that is reasonable and based in reality, it comes from either left or center-left types.

Together with their uncanny resemblance to some of my neighbors and fellow Walmart shoppers, this is one of the reasons I think zombies are more realistic than vampires or werewolves.
