The Superb Owl is superb.

There’s the solution. Buy all the nut jobs Audis so that they will be brave and not need guns.

Guy with fake snow on his car really likes the new American Airlines graphics.

I’ve started watching “Walking Dead” on the marathon rerun, I’m a new viewer halfway through season 1, and I’m asking for a couple of spoilers…

Is Merle ever heard from again?

How about Morgan and Duane from the first episode?

These are not the Niners of old: They run a lot more than in those days. But Kapernick is showing an ability at QB that may prove the equal of Steve Young and Joe Montana.

I’d like to make a request: So that we may all enjoy the Super Bowl, I request that no #TGDN tweets be posted while the game is on.

This is partly about trying to rehabilitate Bush/Cheney and the Iraq War, an almost certain lost cause. The ship has sailed and it’s unlikely history will reinterpret this as a huge success or Bush as a great prez.

But there’s also a thrill the Hoftians get from the mere idea of harming and degrading the enemy. And it’s not healthy or productive in any way.

I read somewhere that there was not going to be any “lipsynchgate” involved tonight, that she was going to do everything live. Anyone able to tell whether that’s true?

Looked live to me. There are some things you can’t fake while singing, and some of her riffing was too perfect to be synced.

My personal opinion is that they decide whether they want to do musical acts, or big synchronized dancing numbers. If the latter, stop paying pop singers millions to dance in front of the big numbers and just do a good dancing act with piped in music. If they want music, then think it through and find acts that fit the venue and length of show. Which would probably be going back to using 30-40 year-old rock acts I guess.

re: #395 erik_t

I see the replacement refs came in for one last hurrah.

They haven’t been flagging much receiver-secondary contact the whole game. Not like they put the flag away for that one play.

“Hard to throw a penalty in that situation.” No it isn’t. You pull the flag out of your belt and toss it on the ground. A flag is a flag.

I just found out from a friend (who didn’t know that I know the victim) that a waitress at the Denny’s I eat at regularly was brutally murdered. She was a friendly, pretty baby-faced girl.

She seems to have chosen her friends very poorly due to her own background, as they look like they’d do exactly what they did.
