This is partly about trying to rehabilitate Bush/Cheney and the Iraq War, an almost certain lost cause. The ship has sailed and it’s unlikely history will reinterpret this as a huge success or Bush as a great prez.

They’re fun as hell. I got mine about a week or so before it snowed. I’m waiting until I can ride it during the summer before I make the final call. The Krampus may have been a better bet in the long run. It’s still a super fun ride. I bounced off of an iced up snow bank the other day and flew a few feet - scared the bejeesus out of me.
The moonie is large. I got to test ride one. Try one if you can. Fat bikin’ brings me back to the ol’ BMX days. fun.

My personal opinion is that they decide whether they want to do musical acts, or big synchronized dancing numbers. If the latter, stop paying pop singers millions to dance in front of the big numbers and just do a good dancing act with piped in music. If they want music, then think it through and find acts that fit the venue and length of show. Which would probably be going back to using 30-40 year-old rock acts I guess.

How about NHL?
They get a lot of Canadians, but no. In order to announce world champions it would have to be a result of international competition.

50% of NHL are Canadians, 30% are Americans and the rest are from Europe. That sounds pretty international.

That means everybody wins. Which sucks. We have to have losers or there’s no winners. If we have no winners and losers, socialism/gulag.

Yes, but they represent American teams.

The NHL is a bit unique. They have both American and Canadian teams, but they have no others, yet the best players in the world play in it. I guess baseball has a few Japanese players, but only one team outside of the US.
I take your point about the NFL though. As far as I know it only has players from the US and Canada. That’s hardly the world.

Yep. You have to have international teams in order to claim world championships. Until then, it’s mostly bullshit.

I take it that is so the owners don’t have to pay taxes.

Baltimore had a team called the Stallions. Didn’t they have the Colts at the same time?

Yeah, they did- and I’ve read that CFL team did quite well in Baltimore, at least until that guy moved the Browns.

I just checked. Baltimore actually won the Grey Cup.

What is it with Canadians and “Cups”?
Don’t forget we’re kind of a cross between the US and the UK and we’ve taken cups from the UK instead of bowls from the US.
