I read somewhere that there was not going to be any “lipsynchgate” involved tonight, that she was going to do everything live. Anyone able to tell whether that’s true?

Looked live to me. There are some things you can’t fake while singing, and some of her riffing was too perfect to be synced.

My personal opinion is that they decide whether they want to do musical acts, or big synchronized dancing numbers. If the latter, stop paying pop singers millions to dance in front of the big numbers and just do a good dancing act with piped in music. If they want music, then think it through and find acts that fit the venue and length of show. Which would probably be going back to using 30-40 year-old rock acts I guess.

I just found out from a friend (who didn’t know that I know the victim) that a waitress at the Denny’s I eat at regularly was brutally murdered. She was a friendly, pretty baby-faced girl.

She seems to have chosen her friends very poorly due to her own background, as they look like they’d do exactly what they did.
