Acoustic Guitar Awesomeness of the Day: Andy McKee - Blue Liquid

Live in the Greenfield Guitars workshop
Music • Views: 23,720

On his July 19, 2012 visit to Montréal, to play a private concert for the Greenfield Guitars Shop Concert Series, Andy McKee stopped by the workshop to record a few videos! Here he is playing his G2B Baritone. As usual, this is the artist, the guitar and a mic in the bench room of my shop. Live, off the floor. There are no pickups being used. The sound is pure. Enjoy!

I guess you can flex the neck like that without fear when you’re playing in the fix-it shop.

re: #2 wrenchwench

That guitar probably has a steel truss rod inside the neck, so you really can’t hurt it by doing that, unless you go crazy with it.

Damn you Charles. Headphones went on, went from McKee, now into Butler’s studio version of the Ocean… now the wife is pissed I’m not paying attention to her.

The Tea Party fails to raise enough money for their much-hyped ‘Day of Resistance.’

“Last week we announced that we needed to raise $100,000 to market the Day of Resistance to make sure that there are HUGE crowds at all of these rallies,” read the Wednesday email from outreach director Dustin Stockman. “Unfortunately we remain well short of our goal. As of writing we have only raised $26,125.72 towards the $100,000 goal.”

Day of Resistance has not explained exactly what the money would be spent on.

Virtually every week, I get a newsletter from Tea Party Express or one of its subunits, begging me for cash. Last week, it was to fund ad space before and after the SOTU address.

I think it means people are tired of the Tea Party’s act. If only more had seen this in 2010 though. Oh well.

At least with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, there was some leanings to bipartisanship at times. While definitely a conservative, she was rational in her beliefs.
Now Cruz is forcing John Cornyn, who is already pretty far to the right, way out there on the fringe with him. He cant afford to be the “lefty” senator from TX and face a tea party challenge.

And the trail Cruz is blazing is one that will be used a yardstick come next year. “Is my representative/senator conservative enough? Well, he voted for this and Cruz didn’t, so…”

Yes, they are quite alike in their tactics. However, Cruz is one of those fancy educated “elites”.
He really should know better.

In an extraordinary admission, Attorney General Eric Holder has told Congress that U.S. drone strikes since 2009 have killed four Americans -- three of whom were "not specifically targeted."
