Jim Hoft: “Thug in Chief” Obama Is Causing Long Lines at Airports to “Screw With CPAC”

Just how paranoid is Jim Hoft, anyway?
Wingnuts • Views: 29,591

With anyone else, you’d probably think this is a joke. But Jim Hoft, the legendary Dumbest Man on the Internet, is not kidding. He honestly believes that President Obama is causing long lines at Reagan Airport, just to hassle people like him.

Paranoid right wing derangement, combined with epic stupidity. An award-winning combination!

Yes, it certainly is “unreal.” As in, false.

Think it funnier that the supposed reason why no peace deal is being offered is that Israel isn’t looking to make concessions. Wasn’t that one of the biggest criticisms of the “Roadmap to Peace,” that Israel was being “forced” to make “too many” concessions in order to make things work?

30 Gus  Sun, Mar 17, 2013 12:52:21pm

Al Arabiya with Associated Press

When President Obama was asked by a group of Arab-American leaders during a meeting last week on why he did not intend to launch a new peace process, the leader said that Israel was not ready to make concessions, the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, cited an official, who was present at the high-level meeting, as saying.

The official, who kept his identity anonymous, said the U.S. leader was frustrated with fruitlessness of the peace process, claiming it would be pointless to pressure the Israeli government at this time.

Haaretz

At a meeting last week between U.S. President Barack Obama and a group of Arab-American leaders, the president was asked why he did not intend to launch a new peace process to thaw out negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. According to an individual present at the meeting, Obama was very frank in his reply: The government in Israel is not ready to make concessions, he said, and so there is no point in bringing pressure to bear at this time.

What’s the problem? Israel is now just getting finished putting a new government and leadership together. It’s also days before passover. He will not be there for any extended period. He’s going on a “listening mission.”

31 Gus  Sun, Mar 17, 2013 12:53:59pm

But Obama certainly didn’t say that Israel is “not interested.”

LA Times reports:

Obama will not carry with him a detailed proposal for how Israelis and Palestinians might resume talks, such as the one he offered in 2010. He instead plans a listening tour in Jerusalem and in Ramallah, West Bank, to solicit views on what the two sides want and to explore what may be possible.

Jillian Rayfield of Salon.com set out to create a false narrative about Breitbart News Network’s “The Uninvited” CPAC event, complete with accusations of “Islamaphobia,” before the panelists spoke a single word, according to an eyewitness.

Rayfield (pictured) sat next to fellow Salon reporter Alex Seitz-Wald in the event. What they did not know was right next to both of them was Patrick Poole, an investigative reporter for the conservative outlet PJ Media.

These morons. This was the event featuring Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.

It doesn’t take Nostradamus to predict that ANY event with the Bigot Brigade is going to feature Islamophobia. Apparently we’re not supposed to notice that’s WHAT THEY DO.

Looks like Alarabiya worded that, “Obama will not bring peace plan because Israel not interested: report.” There’s an obvious reason for this perhaps. It’s something that the so called allies of Israel should be able to see but apparently they’re clouded with Obama hate. This isn’t done to make Obama look bad. This is being done by Alarabiya to make Israel look bad. Sort of in the form of “see, those Israelis aren’t interested in Peace.”

CNN grieves that guilty verdict ruined ‘promising’ lives of Steubenville rapists

CNN broke the news on Sunday of a guilty verdict in a rape case in Steubenville, Ohio by lamenting that the “promising” lives of the rapists had been ruined, but spent very little time focusing on how the 16-year-old victim would have to live with what was done to her.

Judge Thomas Lipps announced on Sunday that Trent Mays, 17, and Ma’lik Richmond, 16, would be given a maximum sentence after being found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl while she was unconscious. Richmond could be released from a juvenile rehabilitation facility by the age of 21 and Mays could be incarcerated until the age of 24.

CNN’s Candy Crowley began her breaking news report by showing Lipps handing down the sentence and telling CNN reporter Poppy Harlow that she “cannot imagine” how emotional the sentencing must have been.

Harlow explained that it had been “incredibly difficult” to watch “as these two young men — who had such promising futures, star football players, very good students — literally watched as they believed their life fell apart.”

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine to look into more Steubenville charges

After Mays and Richmond were taken into custody, Attorney General DeWine said he planned to convene a grand jury next month to investigate whether anyone else should be charged in the case.

“We’ve gathered a lot of evidence, but we cannot put this to bed. We cannot bring finality to this without the convening of the grand jury,” DeWine said, according to CBS affiliate WBNS in Columbus.

Noting that 16 people refused to talk to investigators, many of them underage, DeWine said possible crimes to be investigated include failure to report a felony and failure to report child abuse.

“This community desperately needs to have this behind them, but this community also desperately needs to know justice was done and that no stone was left unturned,” he said.

The infamous photograph has led to allegations that three other boys, two of them members of Steubenville High’s celebrated Big Red team, saw something happening that night and didn’t try to stop it but instead recorded it themselves.

I haven’t looked at all the comments at that site, but one “rick stanley” said the victim was “not without fault” because she was unconscious. “Gayle Day” delivered the best smackdown of that idiocy:

Let’s pretend that you’re at a party and drink until you pass out. While you’re passed out, I take your wallet and your car keys and make off with your car.

When you wake up, you discover your wallet and car are missing. You tell your friends and ask for a ride to the police station to report the crime. How would you react if they said, “Dude, you were partially at fault for this. If you hadn’t passed out, your things wouldn’t have gotten stolen.” Am I somehow less guilty of theft because you were an easy target? Should I get a lighter sentence because you were stupid enough to pass out in public? No one ever thinks that way when property is involved, but when it’s rape, somehow the victim is partially responsible for the crime.

Thought this response to a similar argument at Fark hit it out of the ballpark:

I don’t say this lightly, but you in no way should be a parent or be allowed to have any say in the ethical upbringing of children. Jesus christ, you’re the reason women are afraid to come forward about being raped and are afraid to say no.

In no way is she responsible for what they forcibly did to her. She didn’t consent, she didn’t ask for it, she just got drunk. People get drunk all the time. By your reasoning, any woman out drinking should expect and accept that they might get raped, and it’s their fault if it happens for making bad choices.

Even if the girl was a “train wreck,” that doesn’t justify anything. Many girls are seen as “sluts” and “train wrecks,” but that doesn’t mean they have a welcome mat over their vagina when they are passed out. I’m honestly disgusted that you find any fault with her at all.

Sen. Rand Paul introduces ‘fetal personhood’ bill to outlaw abortion

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Friday introduced so-called “fetal personhood” legislation that would completely outlaw abortion in the United States.

The Life at Conception Act would declare that human life began at conception, providing fertilized eggs with the same legal status as born persons.

“The Life at Conception Act legislatively declares what most Americans believe and what science has long known – that human life begins at the moment of conception, and therefore is entitled to legal protection from that point forward,” Paul said in a statement. “ The right to life is guaranteed to all Americans in the Declaration of Independence and ensuring this is upheld is the Constitutional duty of all Members of Congress.”

Get the fuck out of my country, you sack of shit.

RNC chair to fix GOP with ‘hackathons,’ marketing ‘year round’ — but no policy changes

The chairman of the Republican Party on Sunday explained that he had a plan to turn around his party’s recent losing streak by having less debates, earlier conventions, “hackathons” and more “marketing” — cosmetic changes that give candidates fewer chances to damage themselves without any serious policy changes.

In an interview with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus on Face the Nation, CBS host Bob Schieffer noted that the GOP had recently completed a study after conducting focus groups and polling thousands of people about Republican losses in 2012.

“What did the focus groups — what did they tell you about what people think about the Republican Party?” the CBS host wondered.

“They told us what you would think that they would think,” Priebus sighed. “Number one, we’re a little too math focused and not focused on people’s hearts, so that we don’t relate to average Americans more than we should — stuffy old guys too much.”

Mate binding behavior of male orb-web “Nephila pilipes” spider

This video shows mate-binding behaviour of the male orb-web “Nephila pilipes” spider. To reduce female resistance to mating and the chance of being eaten by the female, the much smaller male spider deposits fine silk onto the female’s body in between copulation bouts. In a scientific paper published in Animal Behaviour “Mate binding: male adaptation to sexual conflict in the golden orb-web spider (Nephilidae: Nephila pilipes)” a team of scientists reveal that it is the touch of the male spider that has the most effect in calming the female.

The male is tiny compared to the huge female.

Steubenville residents reflect on town’s demise: Football was city’s one bright light

Then your city is seriously fucked up.

But it’s typical of so many small towns.

Some of us have been screaming about this behavior, this sense of both privilege among the “sports heros” and its intersection with women’s rights, for a long time. Steubenville isn’t unique. It’s not even uncommon. And it’s not confined to small towns, either.

Expect a lot of noise in various places that try to imply it is uncommon, rare even. Trying to show what pushed Steubenville over the edge making it different. Because if it is different, nobody has to look in their mirrors.
