Pamela Geller Raging Out of Control After Synagogue Cancels Her Speech

Spewing vitriol in all directions
Wingnuts • Views: 24,883

Today at the hate site of anti-Muslim lunatic Pamela Geller, there are no less than eight posts raging and spewing nasty insults at the leaders of the Great Neck Synagogue for canceling her event, after an outcry from the community. (There may be more by the time you read this.) This is what she does every time someone has the courage to say no to her — she flies into a berserk rage about it, and incites her followers to harass the object of her anger.

Rather than highlight any one of these deranged posts, I thought it might be illuminating to compile a few of the insults and ugly comments she’s written so far. For someone who claims not to be a bigoted hate maven, she certainly does seem full of rage and bile.

craven and cowardly

[…]

that synagogue caved to a leftist/Islamic supremacist smear and intimidation campaign

[…]

unconscionable self-imposed dhimmitude

[…]

vicious leftist reformed rabbis

[…]

crushing freedom of speech in the age of jihad

[…]

aligned with Islamic supremacists in their jihad

[…]

I do not promote hate speech

She’s ranting about “free speech” again, as if the Great Neck Synagogue were obligated to provide her with a venue to preach her noxious hatred; of course, they’re not obligated at all, and this is no free speech issue.

Just as Geller is free to emit as much poisonous rhetoric as she can find within herself (and that’s a lot of poisonous rhetoric), organizations like the Great Neck Synagogue are free to decide that decent people shouldn’t be exposed to it at their facilities.

Meanwhile, another synagogue in New Jersey has offered to host Geller’s hatefest: ‘Rabbis for Romney’ Founder Extends Invitation to Pamela Geller.

Let me guess, she also found the time to call them Kapos and blamed the whole thing on the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to Pamela & Dov Hikind (the assclown who dressed in blackface on Purim), Chabad of Great Neck has also offered a venue for her derangement.

I will be sending a formal objection when I can access my email server.

Also, they seem to believe that they and they alone are entitled to Free Speech (including their choice of whatever venue) but nobody else is.

From goodreads.com a quote from Ayn Rand: “The freedom of speech of private individuals [in this case, the Great Neck Synagogue] includes the right to not agree, not to listen, and not to finance one’s own antagonists.”

I can only imagine what Ayn Rand would say about Geller naming her website “Atlas Shrugs”.

The “bug” in McConnel’s office? If you stood in the hall, you could hear everything going on inside.

According to WFPL, the door leading to the room where the meeting was held has a vent at the bottom and a large gap underneath, which is presumably how Reilly and Morrison recorded the meeting.

“They were in the hallway after the, I guess after the celebration and hoopla ended, apparently these people broke for lunch and had a strategy meeting, which is, in every campaign I’ve been affiliated with, makes perfect sense,” Conway told WFPL. “One of them held the elevator, the other one did the recording and they left. That was what they told to me from them directly.”

Conway continued, “Apparently the gentlemen overheard the conversation and decided to record it with a phone or recording device they had in their pocket. Could’ve been an iPhone, could’ve been a Flip camera or something like that.”

Via the Rand site:

“Censorship” is a term pertaining only to governmental action. No private action is censorship. No private individual or agency can silence a man or suppress a publication; only the government can do so. The freedom of speech of private individuals includes the right not to agree, not to listen and not to finance one’s own antagonists.

Local Dem Says He Outed Progress Kentucky To Protect The Party

Shortly after WFPL broke the story on Thursday afternoon, Conway told Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly that he didn’t want the actions by Reilly and Morrison to inflict damage on Democrats in Kentucky.

“The only reason that I came forward with what I knew was I was trying to protect the Democratic Party,” Conway said. “I believe in our party’s values, and I was doing what I thought was best for the party because I did not want their bad behavior, their poor mistakes — I shouldn’t say “bad behavior” — their mistakes, their lack of judgment to hurt our party’s efforts here in the state Kentucky and in Jefferson County, here in Louisville.”

Laws Affecting Reproductive Health and Rights: Trends in the First Quarter of 2013

In 2013, as in recent years, state legislatures are devoting significant attention to issues related to reproductive health and rights. During the first three months of the year, legislators have introduced 694 provisions on these issues, and 93 have been approved by at least one legislative body.

Also in line with recent experience, abortion restrictions are at the center of state legislative activity (see 2012 State Policy Review). About half (47%) of all reproductive health measures introduced in the first quarter of the year seek to restrict access to abortion. But unlike in recent years when the thrust of legislative activity was on regulating abortion (e.g., requirements that women undergo an ultrasound, clinic regulations or insurance coverage restrictions), legislators in several states this year seem instead to be focusing on banning abortion outright, either by declaring that personhood begins at the moment of conception or by prohibiting abortion even during the first trimester of pregnancy.

At the same time, however, legislators may also be moving toward reversing a recent trend related to sex education that has led to an expansion of abstinence education over the last two years. By the end of March, two states were poised to enact legislation expanding access to comprehensive sex education for the first time since 2010.

Interesting new Twitter feature, though - when I click her name in the tweet, the window now has a button that says “Send Follow Request.” Previously the button just said “Follow,” and if you were blocked, clicking it would bring up a message telling you.

Apparently you can now send some kind of request to be allowed to follow someone who has blocked you.

The last time Ashley Judd commented on Kentucky politics and the subject of mountaintop removal, local political groups and coal companies (one of McConnell’s key backers) put up billboards pointing out that she had appeared nude on film. “Ashley took her top off, why can’t we?” was the label, or some such.

Beck: Because Of Common Core, ‘I am Not Sending Another Child to College’

On his radio program today, Glenn Beck continued his truly unhinged crusade against Common Core by pointing out that a Exxonmobil supports it while alleging that the company is only doing so because someone in the government called in a favor and maybe even secretly promised them drilling rights for doing so.

The all-encompassing reach of Common Core has led Beck to decide that he will not allow his children to ever attend college because he will not allow them to be indoctrinated and become part of “the system that is coming.” Beck then became very serious and cautious, telling his audience to “just be aware that there are many ways to mark people” and warning them to “be very careful”:

Oh go live in a fucking cave already.

When rubber fetuses are outlawed, only outlaws will have rubber fetuses.

Both schools experienced doll-related disruptions that day. Many students pulled the dolls apart, tearing the heads off and using them as rubber balls or sticking them on pencil tops. Others threw dolls and doll parts at the “popcorn” ceilings so they became stuck. Dolls were used to plug toilets. Several students covered the dolls in hand sanitizer and lit them on fire. One or more male students removed the dolls’ heads, inverted the bodies to make them resemble penises, and hung them on the outside of their pants’ zippers.

I think he’s full of shit (beyond the normal Beck/shit ratio). No way is he not sending his kids to college if they make the grades and pass the admissions requirements. He’s got 4 kids, I’d like to see where they all are once they graduate high school. Of course he’s worth millions so his kids might not have to work ever, but I just don’t buy that he’s going to deny them an education.

When informed that “President Obama says” the 1975 Public Affairs Act should be repealed, 39 percent of Republicans expressed disagreement, compared to just 3 percent of Democrats. When informed that “the Republicans in Congress” want to repeal the act, 28 percent of Democrats disagreed compared to just 4 percent of Republicans.

absolutely fascinating survey

I just speed-read his article. Sullivan is sad because Rand Paul really, really wants to end the war on drugs and thus help black people out.

Which would be nice if Paul wasn’t a fucking moron in every other way, including lots of ways that would really screw black people over badly.

There he goes again. All Rand Paul has to do is put on a badge that says “I’m RAND and I’m a LIBERTARIAN,” and Andrew Sullivan will forgive him anything.

He was also very willing to forgive Ron Paul for those virulently racist newletters. This is consistent.

re: #72 Sol Berdinowitz

checked out the page. sad part is that these people really worry that god/allah cares about what sort of structure they use to worship…

It’s not about the structure, it’s about power/control. In Islam prayer is allowed almost anywhere. Bathrooms, graveyards and the like are prohibited, but anywhere else is fine, hence the portable prayer rug (which is kept free from ritual impurities and can be laid out pretty much anywhere). The important thing is that the prayer is performed on time.

That’s why you hear about people getting freaked out by Muslims praying in airports or whatever. In NYC it wasn’t uncommon to see Muslims praying in parks if that’s where they happened to be when prayer time rolled around, or even on sidewalks outside mosques on Fridays when things got too crowded indoors. Important communal prayers—like the one marking the end of Ramadan—are often held in large open spaces like gymnasiums or parks.

bipartisanship, n: a condition which only affects Democrats, and which causes them to espouse Republican policies. Democrats affected by this condition are often referred to by their Republican allies as “Satan”, “communists” or “fascist Kenyan muslims”.

And is Rand’s “end” to the war on drugs the same solution as his father’s; e.g. kick it down to the states? (Which might be liberalizing in certain states, but certainly would not be so in many other ones.)

Well, what brought the topic up was the Page I posted about the Turkish Byzantine church-turned-mosque-turned-museum that’s about to be turned into a mosque again. The concern voiced in the article wasn’t about religion (although its impending reconversion is clearly related to religion & politics), it was about historical architecture and/or unique art of archeological importance.

What can I say? Enjoy your popcorn.

I guess ‘fascinating’ is one word for it.

My apologies, I wasn’t aware that I was smirking. The popcorn remark was about watching something outside of my belief system play out. Something I can’t take part in, but that I can find confusing and strange.

I don’t care what your personal religious beliefs are, I cannot understand them, because I can’t put myself in your position, but I value you as a person irrespective of your beliefs.

Admittedly, I do believe religions can be abused and become controlling and I will ridicule creationists for their atavistic anti-science beliefs. I will also take on religious evangelists trying to convert me.

Again, I apologize. I did not mean to sound like I was smirking.

The length of time it has been going on doesn’t make it any less strange. The motivations for it are what make it strange. As an example, and you’ll probably get pissed at me for this, but, imagine watching two people argue over whether the tooth-fairy is male or female, and you’ll get a glimpse of the type of strangeness I’m talking about.

What can I do but watch?
