The two men arrested last night in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings drive a car with the licence plate that reads: ‘Terrorista #1’

The students, named be neighbours by their first names Azmat and Diaz, drive a black BMW 330XI with the personalised plate and a sticker on the back which reads: ‘F*** you, you f****** f****’.

They are thought to be from Kazakhstan and had not been seen since the bombings until last night when their ground floor apartment in New Bedford, MA, was raided by a dozen FBI agents at gunpoint.
One of their girlfriends was also arrested. All three are in their late teens or early 20s.

Their apartment was raised because police say the younger Boston Marathon bombing suspect, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, may have lived at their address.

Where’d Baauer get the song’s other prominent sample, of someone yelling Con los terroristas?

The story of the terroristas sample is expectedly convoluted. In a since-deleted blog post, DJ Apt One, of the Philly DJ duo Philadelphyinz, explained his “small role” in the song’s creation. The sample first emerged in 2010, employed as part of a Philadelphyinz remix of Gregor Salto, DJ Gregory and Solo’s track “Con Alegria.” In 2011, that vocal sample was made available, a cappella, as part of T&A Breaks 3: Moombahton Loops & Samples, a compilation put together by DJ Ayres and Tittsworth. Baauer, who spent time living in Philly while working under the name Cap’nHarry and DJed at least once with Philadelphyinz, used the sample (presumably pulled from the T&A collection) and sent DJ Apt One the track in 2012. “We all appreciated the local incestuousness of [“Harlem Shake“‘s] creation,” wrote Apt One. “I can’t be happier for Philly and for Baauer getting some shine!” On a February 18th Reddit AMA, Baauer dodged a question about the sample, saying only: “found it on the innerweb.”

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Three people in New Bedford, Massachusetts were questioned and released on Friday in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings, law enforcement officials said.

The announcement came as police captured Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, one of two brothers suspected of carrying out the twin blasts on Monday that killed three people and injured 176 others at the finish line of the Boston foot race. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed overnight.

“No one was detained. No one was arrested,” a spokesman with the Massachusetts FBI office said.
