Bryan “Caveman” Fischer: Megyn Kelly Is a Resentful, Hostile “Dragon Lady”

What right wing war on women’s rights?
Wingnuts • Views: 31,549

Fox News contributor and redstate.com founder Erick Erickson’s asinine statement that men should dominate women — because SCIENCE! — got him in hot water with the queen of the Fox News blondes, Megyn Kelly.

When Kelly challenged him with, “Who made you scientist in chief?” Erickson wimped out, weaseled around and tried to dial it down.

But stand back, Erick. Here comes American Family Association spokesbigot Bryan Fischer to show us how a real right wing caveman treats uppity wimminfolk like Megyn Kelly.

Calling Kelly a “feminist on steroids,” Fischer said she was “resentful,” “angry,” “hostile,” and “bitter” to these “poor guys” who were just trying to defend the biblical view of the gender roles.

Fischer went on to say that Kelly was driven by an unhealthy, bitter “angry feminist energy” before finally just calling her a “dragon lady.”

I’m surprised Bryan didn’t ask if she was on her period.

Speaking of science, here’s Megyn Kelly with one of the stupidest Fox News science segments ever, making fun of NASA for something they never did and mocking global warming.

She’s just as much of an anti-science kook as anyone at Fox.

When stripped of all its religious and traditionalist trappings, patriarchy emerges as a totally pathetic point of view, essentially equivalent to a toddler’s tantrum.

Yeah that’s right Bryan she’s bitter but you and Erick are perfectly fine. Really dude get your ass into reality. Women don’t need to be submissive to their husbands and women can be breadwinners for their families. This guy’s an asshole and so typical of many on the right. But he’s also a great example of why the right will fail.

“I’m right and you’re wrong because genitals” is a stupid thing to say, no matter if it’s a man or a woman saying it.

8 Targetpractice  Fri, May 31, 2013 3:03:09pm

Yes, the “biblical view of the gender roles,” like if a woman’s husband dies without producing a male heir, she must sleep with his brother until she bears a son. Or how a man may not only sleep with his wife, but any female slaves brought into the marriage.

9 BigPapa  Fri, May 31, 2013 3:03:37pm

Fischer can’t merely disagree with her, he has to be condescending and diminishing by implying that Kelly is angry.

It is Fischer and Erickson that are angry, lashing out like petulant children.

Maybe Kelly has a small wisp of rationality left and can realize the ideology she drives is not good for her and all other women.

Can I ask a humble question. I don’t see how Fischer’s worldview is really any different from the fanatics that run Iran. Yes, I realize he may not condone say executing homosexuals and unfaithful women but the sexist and homophobia is based on the same twisted logic that comes from wanting one’s Holy Book to define law.

I certainly see no difference. In fact, IMO the only reason Fischer et al. stay away from talk of executing homosexuals in the US is that it would be a net vote loser for their cause.

I’m not an emo liberal. Really Megyn. Besides everyone knows conservatives are more emo than liberals. As you pointed out downstairs, they’re all torn up because of a transgender comic book character. Liberals tend to get upset at real issues of concern. But I won’t be too hard on her since she did call douche and douchier out.

True. She’s still a Faux News shill and a nutter. Megyn just happened to have a stopped clock moment on live TV about something that affects all women, not just her.

It’s sort of like when Shep Smith started yelling at Hannity for trying to politicize Katrina when Smith was on the ground seeing the disaster firsthand. Smith is still a Fox drone, but in that one moment, he was right. Same goes for Megyn Kelly on all this “breadwinner” shit.

Easy, just force those single women not to be single women anymore and wallah, they’ll love the awesomeness that is the GOP and conservatism.// But you really do raise a great point. They’ve gone out of their way to alienate women, single women especially and that will hurt them here in Virginia as Cuccineli and Jackson’s sexist positions become known to the public here.

If those sluts were proper Christian, conservative Republican women, they’d be married and pumping out kids while their man brings home money.

If they’re single, they’re clearly just liberal whores who want everyone else to pay for their birth control and their abortions and they’ll never land a man.

I actually don’t find Coulter physically attractive. I mean I guess part of that is skewed a little since she says some very ugly things and there are studies that suggest a person’s attractiveness goes down if you see their personality be really ugly. But on the other hand, even though I dislike her, I think Malkin’s attractive physically.

Not long ago the army would have stepped in and replaced the current government quite a while ago. I’m not sure if that infrastructure is still in place, maybe Erdogen is worried about a coup. Today’s protest escalated pretty quickly. New alcohol regulations were just announced last week. People aren’t happy.

I watched the tape until about the last 20 seconds. At no time did he show Kelly but he did show Erik son of Erik and what he said a couple of times. I also don’t recall if Fischer even read what Kelly said to Erik son of Erik. But, he sure lambasted her. And the worst insult of all - calling her a feminist.

Gotta go look up the word harridan. I’ve heard it a couple of times - about 40 years ago. It’s a negative term, I’m sure, but I couldn’t tell you its exact meaning.

That’s very true; as little as maybe 15 years ago, the Generals would’ve taken over by now.

The right don’t give a damn about women. As long as a woman’s a pretty spokesmodel and says what they want to hear, she’s a good conservative. Step out of line and she’s immediately an angry, bitter lesbian and feminazi who is ugly and mean.

That’s a long time.

The Czechs are ok with Turks generally, especially when they recall the time the Ottoman Empire actually did send soldiers to help the Czechs fight against the Holy Roman Empire. Unfortunately, by the time the Turks showed up, the Czech had already lost the Battle of Bíla Horá.

And for the Czech, yeah……game over.

The New Mexico legislature had a spectacular finish to their session this year, passing a huge tax bill in the final 15 minutes without reading it.

Martinez said he was one of 21 in the House to vote against House Bill 641. “We were told it would bring in $70 million, but at a recent committee meeting, the Department of Finance and Administration apologized to the Legislative Finance Committee that it made a mistake and it would be a $70 million loss. Hopefully, we can amend it next session.”

Oops. Missed it by $140 million.

Among Muslims, Internet Use Goes Hand-in-Hand With More Open Views Toward Western Culture

Around the world, Muslims who use the internet are much more likely than other Muslims to have a favorable opinion of Western movies, music and television and are somewhat more likely to see similarities between Islam and Christianity, according to an analysis of a recent Pew Research Center survey.

The survey of Muslims in 39 countries across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa finds that a median of 18% use the internet in their home, school or workplace. However, internet use varies widely across the countries surveyed, ranging from just 2% of Muslims in Afghanistan to a majority (59%) in Kosovo.

According to reports, the feline famous for her sourpuss could soon have a movie built around her. Entertainment Weekly describes it as a “Garfield”-esque tale in which Grumpy Cat - real name, Tardar Sauce - would have the ability to speak.

Grumpy Cat’s already Internet famous thanks to the popular meme that got its start last September, after the brother of Grumpy Cat’s owner shared some of the pet’s photos on Reddit.

At 3 a.m. protests are ongoing in many districts of Istanbul. One group of protesters, some of them in pajamas, started walking at 2 a.m. from Besiktas, one of the busiest districts of Istanbul, to Taksim square which has been at the center of the protests.

Other people are protesting from their homes, making noise with pots and pans and cheering from their windows.

Listening to the local Oklahoma KFOR? affiliate is fascinating. When it comes to tornadoes, this guy has his shit together. He calls out neighborhoods, tells people to get out (and which direction to drive) or get underground, tells people in specific areas to “abandon your car” and find cover. The guy sounds laser-focused and in control. Definitely someone you want leading the charge in emergency situations.

To their eternal credit, the Norwegians are not just sitting on a fat stack of oil money — they are actually using that money to engage with developing countries to try to have a positive impact (rather than figuring out new ways to strip-mine the locals by bribing corrupt & venal dictators). Last year, in Ethiopia, I worked with a lot of the gear that had been donated & installed by the Norwegians. Yeah, it was dispiriting to see how elite gov’t cronies were misusing some stuff for their own benefit - but hey, at least the Norwegians were trying.

Why are left-wing activist groups so keen on registering the poor to vote?

Because they know the poor can be counted on to vote themselves more benefits by electing redistributionist politicians. Welfare recipients are particularly open to demagoguery and bribery.

Registering them to vote is like handing out burglary tools to criminals. It is profoundly antisocial and un-American to empower the nonproductive segments of the population to destroy the country — which is precisely why Barack Obama zealously supports registering welfare recipients to vote.

Damn.

Oklahoma’s getting hammered this tornado season and it’s not quite over yet.

I’ve only seen a tornado once in my life, up in Vancouver, WA. Small one, mind you, but it was strong enough to rip down someone’s fence. I was standing outside smoking a cigarette with my boss and when we saw the funnel come down - a couple miles away - my boss said to me, “Well, hell; I guess we are in Kansas!”

It was quite a surprise, to say the least.

Fingers are crossed. They’re not even 100% sure if it was a tornado or just really strong winds, in some ways - all these storms were producing lots of precipitation so the tornadoes were rain-wrapped. Very hard to get a visual on the tornado, so they’re relying on hook echos to place it. It’s out of Norman, though.

FIFA approves stricter sanctions for racism

Soccer teams face much tougher penalties for serious racist abuse, including being relegated or having points deducted.

FIFA approved sterner punishments at its annual congress Friday following recent problems in Italy and England. The new regulations say serious or repeat offenses by a club or its fans could also lead to a team being banned from a tournament, such as the Champions League.

The measures, which were passed by a 99 percent majority in a secret ballot of FIFA member countries, also dictate that players or officials found guilty of racist abuse in any game should be banned for at least five matches. The banned player or official will also be prevented from attending any soccer stadium during that sanction.

“We are doing something now,” FIFA President Sepp Blatter said following the vote.

How is KT? Missed you lately!

Been busy with garden, fishing and real world stuff lately. Tonight’s supper was fresh caught trout, home grown taters , fennel and shallots.

I was just getting ready to round up the cats and close up the greenhouse for the night. Hope all is well. G’nite

I think at least a portion of this is because he drinks. I know my Dad’s side has a history of Alcohol related problems.

I swore to never drink before I became Muslim, when I was in High School.

Thank you, Frank.

Of course you are. For a man to have major conflict with his father is always highly stressful. But hang in there, PLL.

I’m not a big fan of Megyn Kelly, but I have to applaud her challenging Erickson on his bonehead statements. Even better, she had him in retreat.

Somewhere Roger Ailes is yelling, “Will no one rid me of this troublesome woman!”

Bryan is askeerd of vaginas. So is Erick.

Erickson’s fighting another one of his noble lost causes (or, as it’s called outside the South, he’s on the wrong side of history).

What’s happening with gender and breadwinner status is inevitable, and it will only continue. How do we know this? Math. Here are the stats: 60% of undergraduate students are female, a stunning reversal of previous generations that shows no sign of retreating. And, for the first time ever, there are more women in professional and graduate programs than men.

You don’t have to be a statistician of Dick Morris’s stature to figure out what that means for the future of the American workplace.

No, he’s not. I’d wager Ailes agrees with Kelly over the three boneheads she’s routed. And if her latest smackdown doesn’t kick up too much dust, Ailes will be happy to keep her. Her looks make for good visuals and her occasional smackdowns actually improve the network’s image with the overall public. Some wingnuts don’t like it, but unless they are actually willing to watch Fox News less Ailes won’t worry about them too much.

A Weather Channel van. Everyone is ok. Must have been one hell of a ride.

Damn lucky they didn’t wind up like Cary Elwes’ character in Twister
