The hate speech flowing from the mosques of the Arab world continues unabated, broadcast to the Arab street on official media. Searching for the “root cause” of terrorism? Look no further.

From the Grand Mosque in Sanaa, Yemen:

“O God, strengthen Islam and Muslims, disappoint infidels and unbelievers. O God, strengthen your followers and Your religion.” He goes on: “O God, give us victory over the infidels and suppress the Zionists, their supporters, the Christians, and their supporters. O God, show them a bad day. O God, help Palestine and its people score victory. O God, save Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem from the Zionists.”

From Saddam Mosque in the city of Al-Hillah, Iraq.

The imam says: “O brothers. This is our faith. We, the faithful, address our brothers in the Islamic and Arab countries. We say to them that the Iraqi people have one position and stand behind their faithful, steadfast, and mujahid leadership, which raises the banner of God is Great.” He then warns the enemies and hails the stone children on the land of Palestine, calling on Arabs to close their ranks and to defend Islam’s dignity.

Concluding, the imam prays to God: “O God, support Islam and Muslims, elevate justice and the religion, and help us score victory over the infidels, aggressors, and criminals.” He goes on: “O God, destroy the Americans, the British, the Jews, and the Crusaders. O God, disperse them, punish them, and make them prey for Muslims.”

Prey for the religion of peace. Nice.

From the King Abdallah mosque in Amman, Jordan:

“O God, destroy Your enemies, the enemies of the religion, for they are within your power. O God, destroy the usurper Jews. O God, shake the ground under them and destroy them by their own practices. O God, show them a black day. O God, support the mujahidin wherever your name is mentioned.”

From Al-Mawlawi Mosque in Damascus, Syria:

The imam calls on the Arabs and Muslims “to launch jihad as a religious duty to save Jerusalem and the sanctities from the Zionist invaders and to put an end to the occupation, which flagrantly violates Islam and Muslims’ rights.” As President Bashar Al-Asad has always said, the imam says, the responsibility for the liberation of the holy land lies with the Arabs and Muslims all over the world. He then condemns the “Zionist criminals,” who kill Palestinians and destroy property, urging the Arabs not to make any further concession to the “Zionist entity.”

Concluding, the imam prays to God: “O God, strengthen Islam and Muslims and elevate justice and the religion. O God, support those supporting the religion and disappoint those disappointing Muslims. O God, destroy the enemies of the Arabs and Muslims.” He goes on: “O God, support Al-Aqsa intfadah against the criminal Zionists and save our kinfolk in Palestine. O God, destroy the criminal and terrorist Zionists.”

And of course, our good friends the Saudis are begging God to destroy stuff too. From the holy mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia:

“O God, strengthen Islam and the Muslims, protect the religion, and destroy Islam’s enemies, tyrants, and infidels. O God, close the ranks of Muslims and give wisdom to their leaders. O God, give us safety in our homelands and wisdom to our imams and leaders and help our leaders succeed in serving their peoples. O God, support your religion, your book [Koran], and Prophet Muhammad’s traditions. O God, support the mujahidin in Palestine, Kashmir, and Chechnya. O God, destroy the tyrant Jews. O God, oppress the Jews. O God, destroy them, for they are within your power. O God, deal with them and protect us from their evils.”

“Islam means peace,” says George Bush. “Destroy them, oppress them, make them prey for Muslims,” say the imams.
