George Zimmerman Questioned After Allegedly Threatening Wife With Gun

This is my surprised face
Crime • Views: 19,630

Can anyone honestly say they’re surprised at this news?

LAKE MARY, Fla. - George Zimmerman was being questioned Monday in Central Florida after his estranged wife called police saying he threatened her with a gun.

Lake Mary police say they were called around 2:30 p.m. to the Sprucewood Road home of Shellie Zimmerman’s parents, David and Machelle Dean.

According to Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell, Shellie Zimmerman called 911 claiming George Zimmerman had a gun and was making threats.

“He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying ‘step closer’ and he’s just threatening all of us,” Shellie Zimmerman said in the 911 call, adding that George Zimmerman was “trying to shut the garage door” on her.

“He punched my dad in the nose my dad has a mark on the nose. I saw his glasses were on the floor,” Shellie Zimmerman said in the call. “He then accosted my father then took my iPad out of my hands.”

Wow, who could have seen that coming?

“Step closer” so he could feel threatened and shoot, I suppose.

When he murdered a black teenager, it took 6 weeks before he was arrested. When he threatens white folks it may only take 2 weeks to get arrested.

So he’s asymptotically approaching being arrested at the time of his crimes?

Dow Jones breaks 15,000 (not that they’re creating any jobs in the US). But check out the first story:

Cancer Survivor Shows Obamacare May Free Entrepreneurs

bloomberg.com

“As many as 940,000 Americans may leave their employers after Obamacare policies take effect, according to a July study by Craig Garthwaite at Evanston, Illinois-based Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and two co-authors. That number is an estimate of how many adults without children are working because of what the researchers call “employment lock” — holding a job primarily to obtain health insurance. “

Wiles: US Will Carry Out False Flag Terrorist Attack In US To Justify Military Action Against Syria

On Friday’s broadcast, End Times radio host Rick Wiles asserted that President Obama was pressing for military action against Syria on behalf of his “spiritual father,” King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who groomed and financed his rise to power in America.

Calling for Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, John Boehner, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and others to be arrested and tried for treason, Wiles warned that the US will carry out a “false flag” terrorist attack in the United States that it could blame on Syrian president Bashar al-Assad as justification for military action.

Observation: There is a big difference between

He continuously has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying ‘get closer…I’m really really afraid’

and

He continuously has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying ‘get closer’…I’m really really afraid

Police and media outlets need a full time staff just to deal with Zimmerman it seems. Whether it’s multiple speeding issues, or threatening his in-laws, he’s always in the wrong place at the wrong time, and firearms aren’t far behind.

There’s some seriously bad jobu going on with him.

2, mixed with a heavy dose of 3. Throw Zimmerman in jail and the moment he gets out, he’s going to try and get even with her and her parents. Avoid pressing charges and you think you’re avoiding the situation escalating even though the guy’s already pulled a gun on you and your loved ones.

No good outcome for her or her parents. Divorce can’t come soon enough, and she’s already taken one for him.

Based on other domestic disputes during divorce, he’ll be back shooting first rather than talking. The only question is if the FiL is armed and has a chance that only George ends up dead or if we’ll have three dead in a murder/suicide.

I would think this would have been resolved quickly if there was evidence to back up the claims in her 911 call. Most states have laws that if there is evidence of an assault the victims don’t have a say in legal charges or arrests being made. It’s possible her 911 call was exaggerated. Even if she won’t make a sworn statement she could be in for false reporting if she lied in the 911 call.

a wild week for the first games of the NFL season!
To quote sportswriter Michael Smith,
” Can you believe the day’s two biggest favorites, the Patriots and Colts, had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Bills and Raiders?

Can you believe the Giants turned the ball over three times in the first six minutes on Sunday night?

Can you believe that Adrian Peterson ran for a 78-yard touchdown the first time he touched the ball — and then gained just 15 yards on 17 carries the rest of the way?

Can you believe that Tyrann Mathieu needed only one quarter as an NFL player to make exactly the kind of ball-hawking play he was famous for at LSU, stripping Jared Cook to save a touchdown?

Can you believe that the beleaguered Jets actually won their opener, in the most ridiculous manner possible, with a Buccaneers penalty setting up the game-winning field goal?

Can you believe that three different games started with safeties and had scores of 2-0 in the first quarter?

Can you believe Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor, with 112 rushing yards, is currently the NFL’s leading rusher? “

Most people don’t react to the “stress” you describe in that way. At least stable adults don’t. GZ looked pretty “cool” in court. He knew he would probably get off. And he’s been emboldened by his acquittal.

re: #93 sattv4u2

There are literally thousands of other people who, if their wives called the cops on them for threatening them with a gun, we’d have heard about it. Not just OJ. The entire house and senate, for one thing. Probably every state house and senate, too. Every governor, every ambassador to an important country, every cabinet secretary, every supreme court justice. The chief of police of most big cities, the mayor of most big cities. Nearly every a-list and most b-list actors. Most pro athletes.

Etc. etc.

Stories like this sure make people say silly things.

If he’s really under stress, he needs to get psychological help, instead of speeding all over the place and visiting gun shows.

I agree
But the one under said stress isn’t thinking clearly, and certainly doesn’t think they need help

Guilty not guilty (re: Trayvon) can you even fathom the stress GZ and his family/ friends must have been under before, during and after the trial! If todays incident was anyone else (with the possible exception of OJ) nobody would have heard about it

In fact, I’ll bet there were hundreds of similar incidents today. Any one know any of their names??

George was under stress before he shot Trayvon. His marriage was already in trouble. He only increased his own stress by shooting the kid.

You’re close to the equivalent of feeling sorry for the poor orphan who shot his parents.

Came across this when digging into something else. Old, but interesting (May 30 2012):

arstechnica.com

New book: WikiLeaks wanted LulzSec’s help to hack Iceland

In the book, Olson recounts a moment when an alleged WikiLeaks representative named “q” approached the LulzSec crew online. Suspicious at first, both Sabu and then Topiary apparently accepted that Julian Assange himself was present during these chats. So what does the world’s most famous leak publisher need with the world’s most famous hacking crew? Here’s how the book describes the encounter (Gawker is running a short excerpt for those who want more detail):

“A young WikiLeaks member had recently gone to Iceland and been arrested. WikiLeaks had also been bidding for access to a data center in an underground bunker but had lost out to another corporate bidder after the government denied them the space. Another journalist who supported WikiLeaks was being held by authorities. Assange and q appeared to want LulzSec to try and grab the e-mail service of government sites, then look for evidence of corruption or at least evidence that the government was unfairly targeting WikiLeaks. The picture they were trying to paint was of the Icelandic government trying to suppress WikiLeaks’s freedom to spread information. If they could leak such evidence, they explained, it could help instigate an uprising of sorts in Iceland and beyond…”

He was already wrapped way too tight, hence stalking and killing a kid for being black in his neighborhood. And he got off for that, plus he’s a hero to a significant chunk of America. What that all has done is to reinforce exactly the parts of his personality that led him to killing Trayvon in the first place - the feeling of victimization and the desire for ‘justice’. This makes him dangerous.

Brown is a channel Op and is clearly not just observing. Some quotes:

[03:44] {+nato} Did we have any more dox on aaron himself?
[03:45] {@BarrettBrown} nato: I called him and asked him to call me back so maybe we’ll get some

[05:10] * q changes topic to ‘Mission: Aaron Barr FIRED. His salary donated to Bradley Manning Defense Fund. Simple.
[05:10] {&Sabu} or can you tell us what he said
[05:10] {@BarrettBrown} well, he was indeed going to meet with Feds tomorrow at 11 and still is
{@BarrettBrown} he described what he was doing as merely the same thing a hacker does when he tests security
[05:11] {@BarrettBrown} I told him that those hackers tend to tell their subjects the vulnerabilities
[05:11] {@BarrettBrown} rather than going to the press and FBI
[05:11] {@`k} hackers dont snitch to the feds
[05:11] {@BarrettBrown} I asked him if he provided that info to any of us
[05:11] {@BarrettBrown} he said no
[05:11] {@BarrettBrown} then he said, “Who would I give it to?”
[05:12] {@BarrettBrown} I said, “How about our leader Q?”
[05:12] {@BarrettBrown} jajajajajajajaajjaajajajajja
[05:12] {&Sabu} BarrettBrown: you laugh like a brazillian
[05:12] {@BarrettBrown} I know

[05:13] {+Penny} Hey Guys, if you read the emails you know Aaron was not going to release any names, he didn’t think it was right
[05:13] {@BarrettBrown} Penny: That’s not under contention, I think
[05:13] {@BarrettBrown} But see above
[05:14] {+Penny} I saw about
[05:14] {&Sabu} BarrettBrown: I appreciate you sir {3
[05:14] {@BarrettBrown} regarding our conversation
[05:14] {@BarrettBrown} Incidentally
[05:14] {@BarrettBrown} I recorded that conversation
[05:14] {Eddy} great
[05:14] {@BarrettBrown} As a way to inform him of his structural vulnerabilities

[05:15] {&Sabu} he should be embarrassed
[05:15] {@BarrettBrown} I don’t know if he is
[05:15] {@BarrettBrown} He wasn’t a terrible douchebag but he was douchebaggy enough for me not to give a shit
[05:15] {@BarrettBrown} Also, he couldn’t hang

[05:19] {+Penny} Thanks everyone it was very nice talking to you. How do I re-connect you?
[05:19] {+c0s} Penny: you can come on here, you can contact BarrettBrown and he can get you back on? a million other ways im sure.

[05:20] {@BarrettBrown} If it makes you feel any better, I’m an opiate addict and still on Suboxone maintanance
[05:20] {@BarrettBrown} which I’m ending in a couple days
[05:20] {&Sabu} I love you BarrettBrown
[05:20] {@BarrettBrown} Speaking of which, I’ll be incapacitated for a few days
[05:20] {@BarrettBrown} So better get in touch tomorrow lol
[05:21] {@BarrettBrown} oh right, fallout
[05:21] {@BarrettBrown} see you fags later

[05:37] {@BarrettBrown} Penny: A donation to a fund in support of Tunisia, a small one, would go a long way towards PR at this point, particularly among Anons, whom of course we don’t control ourselves.
[05:38] {+Agamemnon} I thought we agreed on Mannings fund barrett?
[05:38] {@BarrettBrown} Agamemnon: That was my first thought
[05:38] {@BarrettBrown} Agamemnon: But I don’t know to what extent he needs a legal fund
[05:38] {+Agamemnon} whatever anon decides if fine by me

[05:38] {@BarrettBrown} $1,000 can go a long way towards building dark nets
[05:38] {@BarrettBrown} anyway, I’m off for real this time, hopefully

[05:47] {@BarrettBrown} Like I said, great time to donate to Tunisia
[05:47] {evilworks} or Bradley manning

Brown is effectively implying that a donation of $1000 to Manning / Tunisia may protect her company.

Some context on who Brown is interacting with here:

arstechnica.com

The FBI has apparently turned “Sabu,” who was the mastermind behind the pranksterish hacking group LulzSec, an Anonymous offshoot that went on a frenetic corporate hacking spree last summer. A handful of LulzSec members were taken into custody in the US and UK today as a result of Sabu’s help.

I believe that was the 1st time the FBI paid him a visit. I think the second time ended with him in jail.

Anonymous’ Barrett Brown Raided by FBI During Online Chat

For the second time this year, self-proclaimed Anonymous spokesman Barrett Brown was raided by the FBI.

The latest dramatic incident occurred late Wednesday evening while Brown and another woman identified by some as his girlfriend were participating in an online chat on TinyChat with other individuals.

Two minutes into the recorded chat session, loud voices could be heard in the background of Brown’s residence in Texas while the woman in the room with him was in front of the computer screen. She quickly closed the computer screen, but the audio continued to capture events in the room as the FBI appeared to strong-arm Brown to put handcuffs on him. Brown could be heard yelling in the background.

A spokeswoman in the Dallas County sherriff’s office confirmed to Wired that Brown was raided last night and was booked into the county jail around 11 p.m. She said the FBI removed him from the jail this morning to take him to a different facility, but she did not know where he was headed.

…A transcript of the TinyChat session has been posted online. Just moments before the arrest, there were jokes about whether one of the chat participants was real or just an animated GIF. Moments later, the chat participants faced a different conundrum: trying to figure out whether they’d just witnessed an FBI raid.

Obama sees potential breakthrough in weapons idea

bigstory.ap.org

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says a proposal to put Syria’s chemical weapons under international control to avoid U.S. military strikes could be a potential breakthrough.

Obama told NBC News in an interview Monday that he remains skeptical that Syria will follow through and turn over its stockpile, so he’s taking a statement from Damascus, quote, “with a grain of salt initially.” But he says he would prefer to have a diplomatic solution to the crisis rather than launch a military attack, and called it “a potentially positive development.”

Secretary of State John Kerry suggested earlier Monday that Syria could avoid a potential U.S. air attack by putting its chemical weapons under international control. Syria’s ally Russia quickly took the idea to Syria’s foreign minister, who said Damascus welcomes the proposal.

I spent a fruitless Friday night arguing with by aged Dudebro brother about Syria and Obama. He’s of the ‘Obama is just like Bush!’ variety, keen to tell me about how Obama is rushing to war, etc. I’ve never seen such a slow, deliberate, reluctant march to war. If Obama could see a way around it, he’d take it.

Here’s Barrett Brown in a chat session talking to people about “doxing” me and launching DOS attacks against LGF.

Charles, I noticed that chat session (Session Start: Wed Mar 02 12:11:06 2011) was about the same time that some ongoing cyberwarfare developments came to the attention of the US Congress, among others.

HBGary
From the section labeled Fallout:

Some of the documents taken by Anonymous show HBGary Federal was working on behalf of Bank of America to respond to Wikileaks’ planned release of the bank’s internal documents.[4][23] “Potential proactive tactics against WikiLeaks include feeding the fuel between the feuding groups, disinformation, creating messages around actions to sabotage or discredit the opposing organization, and submitting fake documents to WikiLeaks and then calling out the error.”[24]

Emails indicate Palantir Technologies, Berico Technologies, and the law firm Hunton & Williams (recommended to Bank of America by the US Justice Department)[15] all cooperated on the project.[24] Other e-mails appear to show the U.S. Chamber of Commerce contracted the firms to spy on and discredit unions and liberal groups.[25][26]

The italics is mine (not in the original).

233 ProTARDISLiberal  Mon, Sep 9, 2013 3:24:09pm

So to recap my Monday:

—I found out that my company is not keeping the two interns in this office. They found out today and their last day was also today. No advanced notice, nothing. Their final checks are being over-nighted and will be here for them to pick up tomorrow.
—The company are also at two-thirds of their budget for the year. That’s the worst my boss has seen in his decade here. It’s a bad year overall, apparently. It’s not just my sales that are down, but everyone else’s too.
—They are supposedly making ” some changes to our sales organization” according to an email I got today. I’ll find out what those changes are on Thursday during a one on one call since I’ve been told nothing is finalized yet.

Cue my paranoia kicking up to 11. I have already updated my resume and I’m starting to submit applications at other companies. This sucks. I hope I’m just overreacting by sending out applications now, but I get the feeling I’m not.
