Crazy Eyes Bachmann: We’re in the End Times Because Obama is Supporting Al Qaeda

Maybe she knows something Harold Camping doesn’t…

In an interview with Understanding the Times host Jan Markell on Saturday, Rep. Michele Bachmann accused President Obama of giving aid to Al Qaeda, which she said is proof that we are living in the Last Days. Of course, on the same day Bachmann gave the interview, a Delta Force operation approved by Obama nabbed a key Al Qaeda figure in Libya.

But according to Bachmann, Obama is now championing the terrorist group.

Bachmann said that the Al Qaeda funding (which isn’t happening) is a sign of the End Times: “This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history.”

“Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann continued. “When we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; these days would be as the days of Noah.”

Ma’am… understand the signs of the times? Understand God’s end? And Noah and shit.

I’m afraid I can’t even understand your sentence.

I would more inclined to believe we were close to end times if Bachmann was ever to make a sane statement.

In high school we were discussing the concept of ‘speaking in tongues’, ans someone said that not only would the speaker talk in a language known ot no living person, but those around them would understand it.

Someone in the back of the room shouted, “BLORKY!”

To which another guy responded, “Yeah!”

The Tea Party ‘statesmen’ each have their own specialties (or powers and principalities, in wingnut-speak).

Bachmann’s role is that of the nut on a street corner wearing a demented sandwich-board sign and raving about the end of the world.

14 lawhawk  Mon, Oct 7, 2013 4:48:15pm

Because nabbing one of the al Qaeda bigwigs responsible for the 1998 African embassy bombings and killing OBL shows the president supports al Qaeda.

End-times. If you think about it these people have suicidal tendencies. A death wish of sorts. They dream of a cataclysmic end-times event. They always base it on some relatively dumb current event. Dumb in how humanity has faced horrendous periods in its history and no end-times came out of it.

we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history

That particular goalpost has been moving for 1900-someodd years.

It’s so old that Paul wrote about how people who were just sitting around waiting for Jesus to come back.

But let’s face it; this isn’t about scripture. Apocalypse has become the biggest revenge fantasy of all. Everybody dies afraid in horrible ways, then gets burned forever. Then the Saviour returns and kills all those ungracious Jews. And you, the righteous, get a front row seat…It’s the fucking best.

So the GOP Senators are gonna “filibuster” giving furloughed workers backpay. Um, ok, that’s fine, but umm…optics sure won’t be good right!

Republicans to block quick passage of back-pay bill

“I think it’s really premature to be dealing with that until we resolve the underlying problem,” said Sen. John Cornyn of Texas. “We’ve offered a number of bills to try to alleviate some of the hardship and they’ve been swatted down out of hand.”

“Coryn says…Republicans would not be okay with legislative shortcuts to pass it - such as a voice vote or unanimous consent agreement.
Asked if the bill should be subject to amendments and filibusters - procedures that could delay passage for several days - Cornyn said, “yeah, we ought to legislate.”

re: #11 b.d.

What a freakin’ nutjob and I thought that the bible says that no one can predict the end times and if they do then they are making stuff up?

Not exactly.

The Bible states that no one shall know the hour when the end will come and anyone who professes to know is wrong.

The Book of Revelation states near the end:

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

This decree refers SPECIFICALLY to the Book of Revelation, NOT the entire Bible. Revelation of course, deals extensively with End Times prophecy.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

The other option is that Jesus was trying to convince his followers that none of them truly believes, so that they’re perpetually trying to expunge whatever bits of doubt and rational thought linger in their brains.

In that case the strategy worked well. -> Wake up in the morning, try to use psychokinesis on mountain, fail. Back to prayer.

It’s just too bad he didn’t spend more time emphasizing the bit about the camel and the eye of the needle. That would have been useful.

Great. We’re being held hostage by Thelma and Louise.

So if the End Times are upon us, why not just end the government shut down and raise the debt ceiling? I mean, what difference will it make? Maybe it will even help things toward the horrible end and the mark of the beast and all.

Because the barely-guarded secret is that these people want things to get worse, because that’s what’s required to keep opening doors on the End Times Advent Calendar.*

I don’t know much of anything about the West Wing (show), but I can say I’m glad I never watched it if the GOD-FORSAKEN GIMMICKY SHAKY CAMERA WORK is characteristic of the show. I’m trying to pay attention to the dialog and all I can notice is the camera bouncing around like the DP has suspended it on marionette strings made of rubber bands.

I guess it’s supposed to be as if it’s viewed through the eyes of a witness. But if it were REALLY viewed through the eyes of a witness, at certain points the view would roll up to the ceiling in disbelief…

Not sure where to post this but thought this forum might be interested in it:

Using Breitbart search to search for “slimdown”, you can find Breitbart articles that refer to the shutdown as a slimdown. However, many of these are broken links that seem to redirect to the original author’s page. However, if you search for “shutdown” on the Breitbart site, you get a list of links to actual articles.
breitbart.com
breitbart.com

I’m not a tech guy, but to me this looks like Breitbart first followed Fox News characterizing the shutdown as a “slimdown,” but then wiped slimdown references from the site. Perhaps because they started to feel the mainstream (?) opinion that the terminology is ridiculous, as even noted by a Fox news host.
Video

In my mind this is (further) evidence of Fox News being a conservative thought leader, and of conservatives trying to control the message through the news. When the term took heat, it looks like it wasn’t enough to stop using the term, but all Breitbart articles had to be deleted. (Maybe to maintain some cred?)

Would be interested in hearing thoughts on this if interesting to anyone.

(apologies for the off-topic post, wasnt sure where to put it)

So West Wing was made by the same film students who made Blair Witch?

The infamous Robert Fisk article.

He was wrong about Al Qaeda and Afghanistan in general, very badly wrong and he didn’t react well when he was proven wrong. Fisk is the archetype of a Media Moonbat.
