Called It! Wingnuts Intentionally Trying to Overload Healthcare.Gov

A DDoS attack corresponding with a media blitz

Ars Technica is reporting that a Distributed Denial of Service application called “Destroy Obama Care!” has turned up in the wild.

While there’s no evidence that this has significantly contributed to the healthcare.gov problems, similar “by hand” tricks — simply reloading the page over and over again — have been talked about on the various red blogs, for months. It looks like someone with a rudimentary knowledge of Delphi Pascal or Visual Basic has decided to try and “help” by intentionally attacking the website.

In addition there is the systematic sabotaging that the red states did, by simply refusing to build their own insurance exchanges, intentionally causing HealthCare.gov to fail.

Because remember folks, if the country has moved on from you, if you can’t win by lying, cheating, stealing, or even threats of sedition, then clearly, the next step is to try all that again, from a different angle.
