The water balloon surprise ending is a nice touch.

After today’s game, I think I’m going to shelve my Space Wolves for a while and focus on my Salamanders.

I cannot explain how desperately I want the above statement to be utterly literal and not a reference to WH40K sets.

So dumb. Do these idiots think Iran would even be in Geneva without the sanctions? It’s precisely because of the sanctions that they’re finally **thinking** about negotiating. But once again Iran is BALKING at everything. And it was Iran and NOT France that ended the most recent negotiations. And let me tell you. Some of the people I follow and some well known liberals on Twitter came THIS CLOSE to making this some AIPAC conspiracy.

Update: According to the New Republic’s Nate Cohn, the image of Haiyan released and tweeted by the American Red Cross seems to be wildly out of proportion.

Nevermind.

I don’t know, there’s a lot of spin but Iran did single out France for extra scorn. Obama was calling on congress to delay sanctions, neither party seems to think that’s a good idea. I don’t think Iran was being serious but I suspect France prevented us from taking a sucker’s deal.

Update on my upstairs neighbors. Dude housing a friend who has two little kids. That’s why the bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam all weekend.

Well last night was almost too much. So I see him this evening and he asked me if it was bad. Honesty is my best policy so I told him YES. Why don’t you fucking strap them down or something?

I’m barely hearing a peep. Ooooooh watch out for that scary lady downstairs!!!

They won’t. The dudebros and emoprogs want to make the US the villain of the situation, casting Iran as the poor country “crushed by the sanctions imposed by rich nations.” Which is true up to a point but so the fuck what? Iran is the tyranny here, not the US and its Iran that is causing the crisis. So if imposing sanctions that hurt Iran’s people is the only way to force Iran to back off, then so be it. Sometimes being president means being willing to do bad things to prevent truly horrific things.

Day #4

After sending the fax, and receiving the fax machine receipt, I have heard nothing else from Twitter. No email, no further communication. I know that there is a weekend in between for two of these days, but considering how responsive the first part of the process went, I am surprised I have not heard anything back yet.

(Weekend or not, customer support should know that bad things don’t just happend Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm PST! Bad guys don’t take weekends off. Granted, my issue is relatively benign, but do they know that?)

I’m just eyeballing Haiyan’s size in the second photo and comparing it to the size of China. The Red Cross overlay does not seem that far out of proportion. That typhoon was a big sucker.

I haven’t been around much lately, but check out this wikipedia synopsis of the pre-code movie “Gabriel Over the White House”. It’s filled with so much New Deal FUD you’d think Jonah Goldberg edited it.

Yeah—the wiki editorial breakout might be interesting. If it weren’t 4AM, I’d research what were the changes FDR wanted and praised.

Goldberg’s book is listed as an outside reference. I’m a wikipedia editor. I’m calling attention to this entry.

I looked up this quote. It is a real Reagan quote, however he was referring to Teh Blahs when he said it.

63 Vicious Babushka  Tue, Nov 12, 2013 4:39:50am

Yeah “Obamacare” is totally like Hiroshima, except for the atomic bomb blast part and the instant vaporization death of 100,000’s, and the long lingering radiation deaths of thousands more, and the destruction of the environment.

Other than that, it’s exactly like Hiroshima.
