Steve Doocy: ‘Curious Timing’ That Iran Came ‘Out of Nowhere’ to Distract From Obamacare

The two dumbest men on TV. Well, three if you count Hannity. Make it four with O’Reilly.
Wingnuts • Views: 25,505

Fox News host Steve Doocy and the network’s “objective” news anchor Bret Baier agreed on Monday that President Barack Obama’s timing was questionable in announcing a deal with Iran that broke three decades of gridlock on preventing the country from obtaining nuclear weapons.

“Don’t you think it’s a little curious?” Doocy asked Baier during a Monday Fox & Friends segment. “Some of my friends were talking over the weekend, isn’t that curious timing? Out of nowhere, you know, in the midst of Obamacare not unrolling correctly, the president’s poll numbers never been lower then, look, [Secretary of State] John Kerry pulls a rabbit out of his hat and changes the subject.”

“Yes,” Baier agreed after a pause. “I mean, you’re right. It is questionable timing as far as, you know, how much this is sucking up the oxygen in the room and Obamacare was taking a lot of front-page space. However, they had been working on the deal for while and it did come together at this time. I mean, they unrolled it at this point.”

“It’s handy for them,” Doocy concluded.

“It is handy for them,” Baier said.

I question the timing of Doocy’s comments.

Obviously its meant to be a distraction from the fact their last attacks on Obama are imploding.

Yes, came out of nowhere. I, for one, have never heard of Iran. I had no idea there was hostility and distrust between us and Iran. I had no idea that Iran has a nuclear program. I had no idea that we were trying to keep them from developing nuclear weapons.

I used to think that the TV News anchor in the movie Die Hard was just a Hollywood screenwriter taking liberties, then I learned that it was based on Steve Doocy… ////

You know, some of us on the “center left” were saying the same things about the NSA scandal, after the AP, Benghazi, IRS bright and shiny objects were found to have no depth and even less malfeasance, it seemed strange that the NSA “scandal” would break right out, right after all of those other nothingburgers were outed.

And the timing on the UBL takedown, extraordinarily suspicious. Plus that ACA reform, right after Obama was elected, what’s up with that?

I can see it now… President Obama gets on the phone with the leaders from Germany, France, Russia, China, Britain and Iran, then says something like, “Hey guys, I’ve had some bad press here back at home concerning my new healthcare law. Can you all do me a favor and agree on some kind of nuclear deal so I can distract people from the issues with the Affordable Care Act?”

This is actually good news, since it seems some the shitbirds who took part in the Benghazi are finally going to get what they have coming to them:

BENGHAZI!!!!1!!11!1!1!1!TY

Heavy fighting continued Monday in Benghazi between Libyan army forces and an Islamist militant group the United States blames for the attack last year on its diplomatic mission that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

LANA, Libya’s state news agency, reported that at least six soldiers and one civilian were killed and 39 people were injured, most of them soldiers, in the clashes Sunday between the military and the group Ansar al-Sharia. On Monday, the Libyan government said that at least nine people were killed and 49 injured.

A senior Libyan military official in the city, speaking to CNN on condition of anonymity for security reasons, said heavy fighting continued Monday morning as troops engaged members of the group in different parts of Benghazi.

The fighting was not a planned operation but a “reaction” to an attack on the army by members of the group Sunday night, the official said. He said members of a military special forces group called Thunderbolt, with support from local residents, responded with raids on Ansar al-Sharia locations in Benghazi.

The official said the fighting Monday morning was intense, with Ansar al-Sharia fighters using mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and heavy weapons. He described the situation as very tense after reports that Ansar al-Sharia might be receiving reinforcements from the eastern city of Derna, where jihadist groups are active.

Although my grandmother did manage to get our anniversary card through the mail without one.

Man Who Claims Ties to ‘Christian American Patriot Militia’ Threatens Obama in Facebook Post

The U.S. Secret Service is aware of a man with ties to a group called the Christian American Patriots Militia who is the apparent author of a Facebook post that says the antigovernment group has the “authority” to assassinate President Obama.

“We now have authority to shoot Obama, i.e., to kill him,” Everest Wilhelmsen wrote on his Facebook page on Nov. 19 - the same day Larry Klayman and his Reclaim America Coalition held a rally across from the White House to begin a “second American Revolution.”

The USPS produces Christmas stamps going back at least 40-50 years (I’d have to check my collection to see for sure).

This year, we’ve got a couple variations, three of which include the word Christmas, while several others are clearly geared towards Christians, along with several for Eid, Kwanzaa, and Hannukah.

That doesn’t count the stamps you can create yourself using Stamps.com.

It’s a argle bargle of outrageous outrage over… BS.

Yes, WTC 7. That smoking gun (I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating). Because Bush/Cheney knew that Americans wouldn’t be clamoring for war after the destruction of 2 iconic skyscrapers, a devastating hit on the nation’s capital, 4 air crashes, and 3000 dead. No, what was needed was for an empty building nobody had ever heard of to collapse hours afterward with no loss of life. THEN, the gloves would come off.

The only scandal around 9/11 is that the Bush Administration was warned months and months in advance that OBL was hungry to attack us, and that he would need to be dealt with, and he fucked that up and a lot of people died because Bush was his incompetent dad’s incompetent, even bigger fuckup kid.

I think the 9/11 truthers were encouraged because their stupidity is a distraction from holding the real failures of 9/11 accountable: the Prezdipshitnit, and his Vile Fuckstick VP.

So Benny is ruling out peaceful solutions to the world’s problems? I guess the tensions in the Eurozone should be solved with guns. And China and Japan’s spat over those islands. Let’s start World War II again! It worked so well the last time!

Seriously, smarter right-wing hacks, please. Shapiro is just a moron.

re: #91 BusyMonster

The 9/11 plan was already in motion by the time Bush took office, and there was not really felt to be a good option for dealing with bin Laden.

Blaming George W. Bush for 9/11 the way you’re doing is just mudslinging.

Agreed. Everything about the Bush Administration, post 9/11 suggests abject incompetence, and not malevolence, was behind the bad things that happened (Hanlon’s Razor at its finest). But 9/11 Truthers can’t accept that, because it would concede that Bush and Cheney were not Blofeld-esque evil geniuses, but incompetent boobs. It doesn’t fit the narrative. So more babble about WTC 7 is needed.

Do all these nut cases worrying about not having the word “Christmas” everywhere realize it’s because Christmas is so deeply and universally embedded in American culture that you don’t need to label things?

Is anyone, Christian or otherwise, scratching their head saying “Holiday ornaments? Which holiday are they referring to?”

Kwanzaa needs a little help in the recognition department.

As a graduate of an Ivy League school myself (undergrad), it’s hardly shocking to me. There were more than a few drooling imbeciles I shared classes with.

And I’m guessing the geniuses like Dick Fuld, Chuck Prince, and Stan O’Neil who drove the global financial industry off a cliff weren’t graduates of Southwest Mississippi Community College either.

Anyway, we’re not supposed to be negotiating with the Brown Peril.

We’re supposed to give them a fist to the jaw and then tell them what to do, pulp hero style.

And then we take their oil, because we did them a fucking favor.

That’s exactly what Ann Coulter said, only she didn’t phrase it quite as elegantly as you. But bonus points for her because she said we should convert them all the Christianity first.
