Gus,

Man is he arrogant! Usually if you’re humble, you don’t brag about it.

Gus,

By the way, Merry Christmas!

Isn’t the pope a dirty commie, though?

Guess who said all of the following:

Let me tell you, I’m a really smart guy. I was a really good student at the best school in the country.

I have a great relationship with the blacks.

All of the women on ‘The Apprentice’ flirted with me — consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.

The beauty of me is that I’m very rich.

It’s not a good comparison. The Pope has access to A LOT more money.

It seems like Trump is just trolling people for another few minutes of undeserved fame again. What comes to mind after reading his tweet is the old tongue-in-cheek self satirical brag…

“Damn I’m good…and modest too!”

I have to think that Trump’s post is meant to be satirical, which by no means makes it any better, but does make it slightly more understandable.

Remember that a good portion of Donald Trump’s fan base see Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty as a religious leader.

I will try to be polite. Mr Trump is so conceited.

Must be because of the beard, military gear, and citing badly researched religious screeds.

He asks Clara if she can fly the TARDIS. To anyone who was very closely watching the 50th, she can.

It’s always hard to tell if Galloway really loves authoritarian governments or is just an anti-US/EU reactionary. I’m guessing reactionary.

**********

Pope Francis, celebrating his first Christmas as Roman Catholic leader, on Wednesday called on atheists to unite with believers of all religions and work for “a homemade peace” that can spread across the world.

Speaking to about 70,000 people from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, the same spot where he emerged to the world as pope when he was elected on March 13, Francis also made another appeal for the environment to be saved from “human greed and rapacity”.

BIG fucking troll.

I never thought I’d say anything nice about Donald Trump, after his inexcusable birther-craziness, in the weeks just before Osama bin Laden was killed.

I admit, in this particular case, it looks like Trump was only having a laugh at his own expense. It’s not a major funny, but there’s some humor there.

First time I ever cooked with barley, I was making a large pot of beef soup and decided to put some barley in it. Off to the store, grab some barley, back home again.
[inner_voice]
Humm…. this must be some other type of barley, it’s just little tiny things. I remember it being bigger. Lets put a bunch in, it’s so small.[/inner_voice]

I dumped about half the box in, gave it a stir, lid back on and off I go. Come back in about 15 minutes to check… I now have an almost solid mass, the barley had expanded and absorbed almost all the liquid. It was WAY to thick to be able to thin back out again, I don’t have a pot big enough. It actually was very good, lots of beef, barley, veggies in a beef stock, very filling. Never did decide what to call it, it wasn’t a soup, a stew, or beef with gravy. I just called it good and had bags all stocked away in the freezer for a couple of months.

I have never used barley in anything I’ve ever cooked, I will admit. And part two of admission, I wouldn’t even know where to look for it in your typical grocery store. Would I find it around the rice or would it be more in the aisle with things like flour, corn meal, etc. The idea of some beef stew with barley in it is sounding good. Nice cold weather stick to your ribs dinner.

With the bags of rice and beans and all that, I should think.

One thing I am enjoying about Twitter is how it is revealing that the upper crust of our society are stupid, self-obsessed, vain and arrogant people.

I think a lot of people used to suspect this, but now we know it’s true.
