Without really paying attention to how foreign aid money is really spent on, and what the real benefits of such spending is. It’s just the kneejerk “no money for foreigners” reaction most of the time.

That sure got play all over the RWNJ outlets.

I wonder if Gates outlined the complexities anywhere else. Sounded like he was for a modest increase. Also sounded like he would be more for it if it weren’t going to mostly help people in ‘non-poverty households’. What if half those people in non-poverty households would start their own households if they made more money?

Gates’ logic would be somewhat accurate if the demographics for minimum wage employees weren’t so misrepresented in the media. The reality is, only a small percentage of them are older people working part time to stay busy or young kids taking a part time job to either earn some work experience or extra money during college.

He has a huge organization that works on poverty issues, so if Gates is misrepresenting the facts, he can’t blame the media. I wonder whether he considers people who aren’t in ‘poverty households’ unworthy of a minimum wage increase.

Yanukovych could accede to the protesters demands and call for snap elections within 90 days; however, it would be humiliating climbdown for him, and there’s a possibility he and his party could be defeated, which in turn, would be very bad news for the Kremlin, especially if a strongly pro-Western government came into power and immediately asked for NATO accession talks as well as EU talks.

NATO is, for Russia, far, far worse than the EU. The last thing Putin wants is NATO on his front porch.

Let’s go to the quote…

“If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of government then so be it! Let us take that discussion all across America because women are far more than the Democrats have played them to be,” Huckabee said.

So what exactly is “misquoted”?
