Far Right Bozo Brent Bozell Will Spend 6 Figures to Remove Every GOP Leader From Office

Circular firing squad
Wingnuts • Views: 18,420

Crazed far right demagogue Brent Bozell is preparing a well-funded campaign to destroy the Republican leadership.

Why? Because they’re not insane enough, of course.

ForAmerica announced Tuesday that it’s pouring six-figures into its “Dump The Leadership” campaign.

It probably won’t come as a surprise that the man behind the group is none other than L. Brent Bozell III, the right-wing flamethrower who’s proven himself plenty willing to take on the GOP establishment. …

“Time and again, year after year, the Republican leadership in the House and Senate has come to grassroots conservatives, and Tea Party supporters pleading for our money, our volunteers, our time, our energy and our votes,” Bozell told CNN in a statement.

Bozell said the group will use digital ads between now and November to target House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX).

Please proceed, Bozo. Hopefully you break the bank, mortgage your future, and blow your nest egg. Dick,.

SEems to me that’s a classic case of the foxes guarding the hen house. Hannity’s so adorable thinking he’s this plucky ourside taking on the big bad media when he’s a very much part of that media and has been for a very long time.

….On Friday, Stockman announced that he has filed a libel suit against a political action committee that supports Cornyn. He accused the group of falsely claiming that he had spent time in jail and was once charged with a felony - despite the fact that in 1995, Stockman readily confirmed those details of a misspent youth in interviews with major Texas news organizations. Bozell is going to run out anyone who is even willing to consider acts of a political nature - in other words, if you’re willing to compromise on the budget, debt ceiling, or anything else, you’re insufficiently conservative enough and therefore must be primaried.

Go for it Brent. Your warped sense of what a politician’s job is, and how to govern, are far different than the rest of us.

But this all goes to the fundamental problem with the GOP. They don’t want governance. They want to destroy the essential nature of what government is all to fulfill some fanciful notion of how things were so much better before the “liberals” got their agenda enacted into law.

You know, before civil rights, equal rights, and the safety net (Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP/TANF, etc.).

Remember too that this is the GOP that claims to be compassionate all while attempting to undo every aspect of the social programs meant to protect those who can’t provide for themselves - elderly, poor, children, etc. All while ignoring the Constitutional mandate to provide for the common good - you know, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

So, not only did the Founders understand the governmental contract - consent of the governed to provide for common goods, but the need to raise taxes/fees to provide for the general welfare, which includes things like health and food when people are unable to provide for them for any number of reasons/circumstances.

29 Backwoods_Sleuth  Tue, Feb 4, 2014 10:59:47am

I have a dilemma for the GOP primary in May.
We have closed primaries in Kentucky, so my choice for US Senate is Mitch McConnell or the TeaParty/Libertarian posing as a Republican Matt Bevin.
I’m voting for Allison Lundergan Grimes (D) in November (although I have some serious policy issue differences with her, at least she’s not an out and out lunatic).
I had to leave that part of my primary ballot empty, but just can’t bring myself to vote for Bevin. Too many people did that last time voting for Rand Paul as the “easier candidate to beat” (I was not one of them) and just look what happened.
Don’t hate me as I vote for McConnell in the Primary (I will be hating myself enough…)

And to repeat what I said here a very long time ago: I’m still a registered Republican because ALL of our local elections are won by GOP candidates. All of the winning office holders are essentially determined in the Primary (this time around there are NO Democratic candidates running), and there are enough local lunatics that get on the ballot (it only costs $50 to file) that those Primary votes are extremely important.

Not to mention the fact that many of their ideological ancestors had no problems with the Nazis until the Nazis declared war on us. The people who warned the loudest about the Nazis were on the left given that the Nazis biggest internal enemies in Germany were the Social Democratic Party and gasp the Communists. I just wish they would stop doing it. I find it insulting to the memory of every man, woman, and child who died under those bastards that they liken their annoyance about Obama’s presidency to perhaps the worst regime the world has ever known.

Nail the carp to a nicely seasoned plank of wood.
Season liberally.
Slow cook for several hours on the grill.
Remove and discard the carp, and eat the plank.

Ever see or read The Onion Field. The bolded got me thinking of that since it was two cons getting the jump of two cops who were both Korean War USMC veterans to boot. Really, it’s very easy to say “Well if that were me, he wouldn’t get off a shot.” To use an analogy here, it’s like when you’re preparing for that speech to your coworkers or classmates, you’re not nervous in the preparation phase because you know what you’re going to say but the second you have to speak or notice the crowd, you clam up. Laelaps weighs in:

Why I’m Not Tuning in to the Creation vs. Evolution Debate”

[…]

The event is as much as debate as the Creation Museum is an actual museum. Which is to say, not at all. It can’t be because of what Ham believes about scripture and how science must bend to his narrow view of what his beliefs prescribe.

[…]

Nye is going to argue from the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence that evolution is a fact, while Ham will undoubtedly try to sew doubt in such explanations as quickly as he can. If Ham were facing a theologian who could articulate why the Bible wasn’t meant to be read literally, that would be a debate. Instead CNN is going to air two experts arguing past each other in a program that only serves to make the Creation Museum look more credible. And, as shown by a recent bit of depressing dinosaur news, that’s exactly what Answers in Genesis wants.

[…]

Who wins tonight’s showdown will be determined by style more than substance. At least Nye has that. But no one benefits from the delusion that there’s a debate about the reality of the evolutionary phenomena that brought us into existence and gave us the mental abilities to manufacture such nonsense for broadcast.

Well it was an analogy not a comparison. The point with the analogy is that everything’s easier when you’re thinking it out in your head then the real nitty gritty situation. We’re on the same page though. This definitely isn’t as you put it a skills set you buy over the counter.

Coal plant accident spews coal ash into North Carolina river

grist.org

“Retiring a coal power plant in North Carolina wasn’t enough to prevent it from fucking up the environment.

“Tens of thousands of tons of coal ash and tens of millions of gallons of polluted water have burst out of Duke Energy’s shuttered Dan River Steam Station, severely soiling the Dan River — a waterway popular with hikers, campers, fishing folks, and recreational boaters. The pollution can be seen miles downstream.”

There seems to be some debate among NYT editors about reporting on last week’s Christie scandal.
From NYT “Public Editor”:As the Latest Christie Story Evolved, The Times Should Have Noted a Change

what about a case in which an early version of a story says something that proves to be, if not untrue, then at least overstated?

That happened at The Times on Friday. The reporter Kate Zernike broke a story based on a letter from David Wildstein’s lawyer saying that the former ally of Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey “had the evidence to prove” that Mr. Christie knew about the now infamous lane closings at the George Washington Bridge in real time last September. Mr. Christie has consistently stated that he only learned about them recently.

Later, within the hour, the story was changed to soften the wording from “had the evidence” to “evidence exists.” Breaking news alerts had gone out immediately after the first version was posted, which meant that many people read the initial article with its stronger wording.

I asked the Metro editor, Wendell Jamieson, why there was no correction or note.

“We made dozens of changes to this story, and it’s all happening live in front of the reader,” he said. “The story probably went through two dozen versions.” Editors can’t be expected to describe each one of those changes, he said.

And he added that no change, including the one I mention above, “alters the essential truth of the story, which is that a former Christie ally has opened fire on him in a big way.”

Who has seniority here? Shouldn’t the NYT editorial staff make a decision instead of having this play out publically in the Op Ed section?

That is how John McCain got his start in politics: his wife’s family bascially bought him the Republican nomination in a heavily Republican district in Arizona and he was in like Flint.
I was a registered Republican in 2000 and even voted for him in the primaries, but the money had already been put down and favors promised by Bush, he had no chance of winning.

Yea, the thought of Bevins and Paul being our senatorial contingent makes me shudder.

Well if Peyton Manning had a gun on Sunday, he wouldn’t have gotten sacked that much//. What the hell is the point of that? Rosa Parks uses a gun on that bus? And Rosa Parks is remembered the same way we remember Emmett Till. These sick fucks want a world where someone with a fucking gun gets to just do whatever the hell they want. World doesn’t work that way you stupid gnn fuckers.

They need to watch that scene again in TOMBSTONE where Wyatt Earp smacks the shit out of Billy Bob Thornton.

Well, no you didn’t evolve from a monkey - your species evolved from the last common ancestor via Ardipithicus Ramidus through Australopithecus Afarensis and Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus till finally becoming modern H. Sapiens.

Monkeys, OTOH, are grateful you aren’t descended from them.

In AA, they say you will not recover until you hit bottom so hard you are forced to take up the 12 steps.

This nonsense by the right will continue going until it stops, until, McCarthy-style, we can all stand up and say, “Sir, have you No decency ?”

It will go on and on until we, the sane, say “No more!”
