Iowa GOP Senate Candidate Runs on a Platform of Proud Hog Castration

She’ll make Obama squeal
Weird • Views: 19,219

YouTube

This is Joni Ernst. She is one of the Tea Party Republicans running for the Iowa Senate seat to replace retiring Democrat Tom Harkin.

She grew up castrating hogs. Judging from the relish with which she tells the tale, it looks like she enjoyed it quite a bit.

This may not seem like the kind of personal detail most folks would brag about, but Ernst is using it. She wants to go to Washington so she can “cut the pork.” Bam. Viral.

Joni Ernst, making castration work. For her.

Thank glod she wasn’t a cheese maker, or she’d be cutting the cheese.

She faces 3 other Rs—businessman Mark Jacobs, former U.S. Attorney Matt Whitaker and radio host Sam Clovis.

BTW, Bruce Braley apologized to Grassley. BTW, when is Grassley going to retire? He’s hogged that seat since 1981.

Well, she certainly outranks her husband:

“Ernst has served a combined 21 years in the US Army Reserves and the Iowa Army National Guard. She spent 14 months mobilized and overseas in Kuwait from 2003-2004 as a company commander at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom.[1][2] Her unit was responsible for running logistical convoys in Kuwait and into southern Iraq. A Lt. Colonel, Ernst currently commands the largest battalion in the Iowa Army National Guard.

“Senator Ernst resides in Red Oak, Iowa with her husband of 21 years, Gail, a Command Sergeant Major in the Army Rangers (retired) and their three daughters.”

re: #18 William Barnett-Lewis

Gooddamn idiot Reagan.

A former defense secretary for Ronald Reagan says he implored the president to put Marines serving in Beirut in a safer position before terrorists attacked them in 1983, killing 241 servicemen.

“I was not persuasive enough to persuade the president that the Marines were there on an impossible mission,” Caspar Weinberger says in an oral history project capturing the views of former Reagan administration officials.

* * *
[H]e said one of his greatest regrets was in failing to overcome the arguments that ‘“Marines don’t cut and run,’ and ‘We can’t leave because we’re there’” before the devastating suicide attack on the lightly armed force.

“They had no mission but to sit at the airport, which is just like sitting in a bull’s-eye,” Weinberger said. “I begged the president at least to pull them back and put them back on their transports as a more defensible position.”

You certainly know your creepy crazy domionist farmer contingent. I was curious how old the piglets are when castrated, so I googled (3 days to 7 weeks). The first result was Texas Tech, the second was Quiverfull. From the latter, Step 9:

Spray the piglet well with a disinfecting agent, we use iodine, and my in-laws like to apply some colloidal silver as well.

Not linking, don’t look!

Please note that we aren’t vets, and cannot take any liability for the outcome of your own castration of your piglets. This information is provided for educational purposes only.

Other than the photos, the worst part:

Depending upon the age of the pig you may need to cut down further into the testes sac depending upon the amount of fat between the skin and the testicle. You’ll have to figure this out as you go.

I don’t find Carter fatuous, but he does approach the subject from the broad angle of religion which I have no use for. I think his approach to the condition of women is shallow because all religions have been, and will continue to be, run by men. He remains under the delusion that religion makes you “virtuous”.

It’s easier to get women into high positions within secular institutions, such as democratic govts, where they can promulgate civil laws than it is tradition-bound religions, most of which never keep up with the progress of contemporary societies.
