Sarah Palin Goes All in on the GOP Castration Meme

Word salad of the day, with mountain oysters
Wingnuts • Views: 15,717

As noted yesterday, the Iowa GOP now has a candidate running on a platform of proud hog castration, and today the dimmest bulb in the right wing cupboard went all in on this highly appealing testicle-chopping meme, bringing her own barnyard perspective to the issue.

“If Nebraska’s Deb Fischer can see through the bull in Washington, then Iowa’s Joni Ernst can help her cut through the pork,” Palin wrote. “Growing up on a hog farm in Southwest Iowa, Joni has taken her ‘pork cutting’ skills to the Iowa State Senate, where she has been a champion for life, small government, and lower taxes - voting for the largest tax cut in Iowa history.”

Could this meme be directed at Barack Obama, I wonder? Quite often back in the back old days black men were lynched or imprisoned for poorly-evidenced alleged assaults on white women. Many such lynchings featured the castration of the black man in question.

Or am I reading too much into Caribou Barbie’s DERPage?

I’m going to go pick it up Sunday. Take a little train trip down south of here. I’m looking forward to it; I know I’ll have to fix the rear axle, but from what I’ve been reading on it, it’s most likely the bearings race. I’ve been poking around, and parts for it are pretty inexpensive at least. A complete rear-axle assembly is about $15.

37 dog philosopher  Mar 26, 2014 2:29:57pm

i wrote an email to joni ernst

Hi Joni,

On your campaign website, you say

“Holding to my commitment to fiscal responsibility, we have gone from a $900 million budget deficit, turning it around into a budget surplus of $1 billion dollars. This was achieved by limiting the size and scope of state government, reining in spending habits, and eliminating the practice of taking on more debt for ongoing projects.”

Could you please tell me what specific items were cut from the budget in order to achieve this $1.9 billion turnaround? Also, could tell me what time period you are talking about, and how much of the turnaround could be accounted for by increased revenues? Also, you say

“In fact, this past year, I helped pass the largest tax cut in the history of our state - returning over $4.4 billion in property tax relief to Iowa taxpayers over the next decade.”

So then I might assume that this will lead to an estimated reduction in state tax revenues, on average, of $400 million per year. Could you tell me what your plan is to make up for this shortfall - in other words, will you be finding revenue elsewhere or making further cuts, and, in either case, specifically, where?

thank you,

Every year at SHOT we see some of the most bizarre and cool items. Not sure how this one qualifies. Lo and behold, tactical gear beer nirvana!

The guys were wrapping up and tearing down, giving away every piece of tactical nylon on the booth. After introducing ourselves, RapDom’s personnel offered Sam and I a messenger bag (review coming soon), but most interestingly, the “Tactical Beer Koozie.”

RapDom extols its virtues:

The Deluxe Tactical Beer Koozie is a miniature tactical vest beverage koozie (Up to a 40oz Bottle). The exterior is made of 100% Kodra nylon and the interior is made of 100% Polyester.

But that overlooks the pendering to the old racist idea that black men are lust-crazed animals who only superiority to white men is in penis size. The removal of the black man’s testicles and penis therefore stands both the neutralization of the threat he supposedly poses and the proof of the white man’s superiority over him.

Saddles generally are so idiosyncratic! The Avocet was what I ended up with after going through half a dozen other saddles, all of which felt good for anywhere from 10-40 miles before manifesting their problems. It probably has. But I would lay odds they would prefer one of these over sewing it up. More easily reversed when they (conservative males) want to have some fun.

Naw. Conservative males keep a harem of loose women that they can slut-shame into compliance. Such women would not need to be surgically altered.

Saddles generally are so idiosyncratic! The Avocet was what I ended up with after going through half a dozen other saddles, all of which felt good for anywhere from 10-40 miles before manifesting their problems. For me, they’re the bee’s knees, but on a bike forum, someone said, “That ass-hatchet?”

AMEN… They need to make an “Ass-0-meter” (yea, I know, Specialized had something like that). I’ve had ones that I loved, others hated. and it works the other way. I have seen some that just looked evil however, a magnesium shell with just a layer of very thin perforated leather over it. Thinking that those extra 100 grams of weight don’t kill the tingle in the nethers.

Now I’m mainly on recumbents, and a well worn brooks on my fixie. Butt heaven.

OMG!!! All I could think was it sounded like the theme song from some low-budget animated kids show. (which probably isn’t too far removed from reality). I’d love to get Charles take and professional critique, but we’ll probably have to remove the stainless steel skewers he’d drive through his eardrums before he made it to the end of the clip.

An 8-year-old Virginia girl has been taken out of her school after administrators complained she was acting too much like a boy.

WSET-TV reports that the grandparents of Sunnie Kahle received a letter from officials at Timberlake Christian School notifying them that their granddaughter would be refused enrollment next year if she didn’t follow the school’s “biblical standards” and change her appearance.

The letter reads in part, “We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education.”

Antarctica is becoming svelte:

AGU: New study shows major increase in West Antarctic glacial loss

Six massive glaciers in West Antarctica are moving faster than they did 40 years ago, causing more ice to discharge into the ocean and global sea level to rise, according to new research.

The amount of ice draining collectively from those half-dozen glaciers increased by 77 percent from 1973 to 2013, scientists report this month in Geophysical Research Letters, a journal of the American Geophysical Union. Pine Island Glacier, the most active of the studied glaciers, has accelerated by 75 percent in 40 years, according to the paper. Thwaites Glacier, the widest glacier, started to accelerate in 2006, following a decade of stability.

Fake North Korea News Watch: Haircut Edition

Like most news out of the brutally repressive dictatorship/global meme generator, it should be treated with some skepticism and is already being picked apart to some extent. The sourcing is pretty thin, and NK News quotes some recent visitors to Pyongyang who don’t recall seeing people with unusual haircuts.

….
it’s true that the North Korean state discourages long hair, and this has been known for a while. But enforcement of these rules seems to be pretty lax and it seems extremely unlikely that every man in the country is now walking around with an imitation of Kim Jong-un’s Macklemore-ish side-shaved do. (Though, to be fair, it would probably be a step up from his dad’s famous bouffant.)

In other news, North Korea fired some medium-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday.

Here’s the quote that disturbed the moonbats:

Moreover, Russia has pointed to America’s decision to go into Iraq as an example of Western hypocrisy. Now, it is true that the Iraq war was a subject of vigorous debate, not just around the world but in the United States, as well. I participated in that debate, and I opposed our military intervention there.

But even in Iraq, America sought to work within the international system. We did not claim or annex Iraq’s territory. We did not grab its resources for our own gain. Instead, we ended our war and left Iraq to its people in a fully sovereign Iraqi state that can make decisions about its own future.

Iraq’s been dealing with Iran for some time now. Including military cooperation in some places. Iraq is also making arms deals with Russia. They still rely on the USA for help in quashing terrorist elements that remain in Iraq. The sectarian violence of course continues between Sunni and Shia which is the leading cause of violent death there.

There might be some way you can skullfuck statistics to make this true, but it’s a pretty nutso claim by any reasonable standards. I mean, I guess if you count Iraqi deaths from the Iraq-Iran war or something.

But obviously, when we invaded Iraq, a lot of people died. Pretending we improved the situation vis-a-vis people dying is buffoonish in the extreme.
