LGF Mobile Version Update: LGF Pages Now Mobile-Ready

And now, posting on the go
LGF • Views: 12,857

I still have a lot of work to do to completely finish the Marvelous LGF Mobile Makeover, but I’m pleased to report that you can now post to LGF Pages from your mobile phone, in a form optimized for the small screen.

All the features of our LGF Pages window work in the mobile version as well; the Image Library still looks rough and needs work at this point, but it’s fully functional.

There are some limitations to using the LGF Pages bookmarklet in the mobile version of Safari; the best way is to save the bookmarklet in your browser’s Favorites. If you tap that Favorite while looking at a web page you want to post, the LGF Pages window will open in a new tab with the title and URL filled in. Unfortunately, we can’t grab the selected text on the page in mobile browsers, so you’ll have to old-school copy-and-paste. Also, when you tap the bookmarklet, it can look like nothing happened, because it doesn’t automatically switch to the new tab; you have to manually switch to it.

You can now also edit your LGF Pages with a smartphone after posting them, by tapping the little pencil icon at the bottom right of your post.

Out in the woods
Or in the city
It’s all the same to me
When I’m drivin’ free
The world’s my home
When I’m mobile

If you post it more than three times you’re playing with it.

See, I was thinking people would use this to post from exotic, glamorous places, foreign lands, adventure spots, and then you go and bring me right back down to Earth.

One tool that makes this so much easier is the Mac OS version of Safari’s new Remote Web Inspector - you can actually change CSS settings on the fly with your Mac desktop machine and see the changes reflected instantly on the iPhone’s screen. Tweaking stuff is a breeze with this. It would be MUCH more difficult and time-consuming without it.

Oh yeah

“The women there are human garbage whose parents don’t love them.” McInnes said, outraging many female members of the in-studio panel convened to discuss the traditional college rite of passage.

McInnes had had earlier stated that he had no problem with letting his sons go, but drew that line at letting his daughters attend.

“My daughter, there’s no way in hell she’s going there, but with my sons, I hope they have a great time.” he said.

Yes, because I’m sure his sons are looking to play volleyball and sharing drinks with other manly men and not looking to meet women, who are human garbage according to shit for brains here

The creepiest part about torture is definitely the torturers, for me.

He doesn’t refute a single one of the substantive criticisms.

People might think it is wrong for me to condemn a report I haven’t read. But since the report condemns a program I ran, I think I have justification.

Um… no.

Lemme see:

In January, Grothman introduced legislation that would eliminate a state requirement that workers get at least one day off per week.

“Right now in Wisconsin, you’re not supposed to work seven days in a row, which is a little ridiculous because all sorts of people want to work seven days a week,” he told the Huffington Post.

Previously Grothman insisted that public employees should come to work on Martin Luther King Day.

“Let’s be honest, giving government employees [time] off has nothing to do with honoring Martin Luther King Day and it’s just about giving state employees another day off,” he said. Further stating that he would be “shocked if you can find anybody doing service.”

Grothman was similarly dismissive of Kwanzaa, a week-long harvest and gift-giving celebration celebrated by African-Americans, saying it was promoted by “white left-wingers who try to shove this down black people’s throats in an effort to divide Americans.”

Grothman also suggested that “almost no black people today care about” Kwanzaa.

Classy guy…

[…]

And just to make sure you get the message, they won’t just try to silence you today. They’ll go back through your history and find out if you’ve spoken up in the past, and punish you for that - maybe by putting pressure on your employer to take away your job. Or maybe they will conscript the power of government, forcing you to provide them services that your faith would suggest you should not provide.

This movement is evil, not because homosexuality is a “worse sin” than other sins, but because its champions are trying to not only silence but in many cases destroy those who disagree with them. The gay movement understands something. They understand that in order for their movement to ultimately succeed, they need to turn the entire culture into a mindless army of obedient adherents like the Borg on Star Trek. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Notice the disconnect: the boys are free to sow their oats, but the girls better stick their asses at home, lest they be branded sluts and whores for the rest of their days.

The super-clever, counterintuitive, “edgy” truth is that the people saying:

we want to construct our lives as we wish, with the legal statuses and protections afforded to all US citizens as they marry

are oppressing the people saying:

gays are fairytale child-stealing monsters who may or may not be demon-ridden invalids, and we’re totally down with laws that criminalize their very existence. In fact, we’ve got a whole raft of them right here….

I mean, there’s no Shyamalan twist to the people talking about hurting people and taking away their freedom being the people who are hurting people and taking away their freedom.

The creepiest part about torture is definitely the torturers, for me.

He doesn’t refute a single one of the substantive criticisms.

I was really surprised, to read that entire article he wrote in the Washington Post, and (as you say) see absolutely nothing of interest or substance, no refutation of any of the obvious concerns about torture as an instrument of the US government.

All he really said was that the enemy can do unthinkable damage, e.g. Al Queda’s nuclear ambitions. I’m afraid I have to agree with him very strongly about that, but he utterly failed to connect that to any justification for torture.

This is a very difficult question, and the Washington Post article shed no light on it whatsoever.

Charles it’s amazing how we get spoiled fast. it was not that long ago I was thrilled to post a photo Page from a lookout on the Rim Of The world with my laptop wireless from a diner up on the Highway to Lake Arrowhead. Now i could just whip out the cellphone. Of course now one gets tempted to get a way better cell phone. Heh the demons of spending temptations!

That Sony Xperia is beautiful. I wish I could afford one. The page about the display reminds me of the decades-ago Sony ads for “Trinitron”, about how color was improved.

Logically, this would suggest that the wingnuts approve of the spring break boys getting it on with each other.

Alas, logic has nothing to do with it.

Charles, how does one get out of mobile? I prefer desktop mode, even on my iPhone. Is there a desktop view?
