Fraudster James O’Keefe Is At It Again In Wisconsin. Against a Republican.

“I don’t need to kiss anybody’s ass”

Dark red vs red, get out the popcorn.

YouTube

A new video by conservative activist James O’Keefe shows Wisconsin’s Republican Senate president vowing to illegally create his own super PAC in violation of state law.

In the undercover video recorded in a bar, state Senate President Mike Ellis tells O’Keefe and a companion: “I am putting together my own super PAC. My brother Dave is going to be in charge of it. We’re going to have $500,000. I don’t need to kiss anybody’s ass.” He then proceeds to list the funders of the super PAC, along with how much he expects each to contribute. Campaign law bars candidates from coordinating with such independent groups.

In the video, Ellis also said his fundraiser, Judi Rhodes Engels, would help run the super PAC, but she later told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that no such request was ever made. She quit his campaign hours after the video of his comments was posted online.

Is it possble that O’Keefe actually performed a public service?

Is it possble that O’Keefe actually performed a public service?

It’s possible, but extremely unlikely.

O’Keefe is so full of shit, I don’t believe a word he says. He’s beyond “let’s see the unedited video ” to just go the fuck away.

I do have to say, though, this would be hysterical if he managed to not be full of shit for once…against his own. Purity, baby!! Nah. He’s FOS.

Ellis is retiring because of this.

6 Fairly Sure I'm Still Obdicut  Apr 11, 2014 1:40:02pm

So was Ellis beefing with some Truer-Bluer Republicans that O’Keefe is allied with or is O’Keefe just so mad at not being endorsed at the highest levels of the GOP he’s a loose cannon?

7 Testy Toad T  Apr 11, 2014 1:40:05pm

I am putting together my own Super PAC! With blackjack, and hookers!

In fact, forget the Super PAC!

8 Fairly Sure I'm Still Obdicut  Apr 11, 2014 1:42:42pm

Oh:

In the video, Ellis can also be heard criticizing Gov. Scott Walker (R). The Journal Sentinal reported that Ellis “frustrated” many fellow Republicans last year when he fought to “curtail [Walker’s] plans to expand voucher schools statewide, a battle that resulted in a watered-down version of Walker’s plan getting signed into law.”

That may be it.

I still have doubts about the story, because it’s O’Keefe, even with him resigning. There may have been no real plans, he may have just been bullshitting but now is caught in an impossible position.

As far as I know, every single thing this jackass has ever foisted on the public has turned out to be fraudulent in one way or another. I don’t see any reason to start trusting him now.

10 Justanotherhuman  Apr 11, 2014 1:47:20pm

This was done for Walker & The Gang’s benefit, not for any Democrat.

“The world has changed and to be honest with you I just don’t fit in there anymore,” Ellis said in the interview with Sykes. “I grew up where you could be an independent thinker and still work out compromises.”

(snip)

“At a news conference on Friday, Walker said he had seen the video, and found Ellis’ comments “disturbing.” More

What Ellis means in the first paragraph is that he was able to do as he damn well pleased for the entire time he’s been in office and is probably being checked by the guys who run the State now who want him out.

Pretty much this according to Wisconsin Public Radio. He considered the super PAC but supposedly stopped when he realized that it would be illegal.

My guess is this is all about caring more for the people of Wisconsin than for Walker’s bosses.

I’m 32676% certain that if you polled every single person who venomously hates (or even mildly dislikes) Joe Arpaio, you’d find in every case that his Italian ancestry doesn’t even make the top 10000.

Joe Arpaio is Italian? I figured he shat all over minorities because he was afraid his political buddies would decide he was Hispanic.

How did I immediately know that would be Bob Marshall?(This is my district though). Seriously though and what’s sad is he’s been an elected official a long time and that there was another equally batshit insane potential candidate who is also in the state legislature who believes crazy shit about women but Dick Black dropped out due to the tightness in the state senate.

Right?

Sad thing is I think he’s got a real shot at winning the GOP nomination and in a non-presidential election year he may have a shot at winning the seat. Really hope that does not happen. Bad enough that we share a state with this lunatic. I don’t know what I would do if I had to call him my Congressman and that lunatic Dick Black(Mr. Spousal Rape is impossible because nighties) my state senator.

40 HappyWarrior  Apr 11, 2014 2:25:55pm

Bob Marshall to you non-VA lizards if the name rings a bell is the GOP genius who suggested that Downs Syndrome is God’s punishment to women who have abortions. He puts the man ass in Manassas. And he nearly became the GOP nominee for Senate six years ago running against a former governor, Gilmore who was also RNC chair once upon a time.

A point of order on language. Someone would only be bigoted against Arpaio if they despised him for his ancestry etc.

One who only despises Arpaio because of his actions is categorically not a bigot.

It’s a reminder that while Virginia is fortunately a purple state now, we still have loads of primitive assholes. Marshall and Black were Cuccinelli before Cuccinnelli was Cuccinelli. Proud members of the Santorum wing of the GOP.

Mike Ellis has been in public office many, many decades. His claim that he “learned” that his plan was illegal the next day is pure bullshit.

54 alpuz  Apr 11, 2014 2:47:54pm

Long time, no vidi. Ellis was thrown under the bus because he didn’t rigidly tow the tea party line. He’s no way a moderate republican(do a youtube search), but he is an old school Wisconsin republican who was against the voucher takeover(google Scott Jensen & the MB&F law firm) here. See Dale Schultz(R) as an even more moderate republican who has chosen to not run again.

The tea baggers have taken over this state. It’s bought and payed for.

Ellis has a history of getting loaded at the Inn on the Park, where I’m guessing that vid was shot. The fact that the scumbag O Keefe is behind this rattles my nerves. If he’s here bringing down old school conservatives(Ellis is no saint) in Wisconsin, that can’t be a good thing.

Dark days in Sconi.

I don’t hear too many people mentioning this, but the Koch brothers’ father was one of the founding members of the John Birch Society.

The Republican Party turned away from the Birchers in the 60s and 70s. And now the Republicans are bought and paid for by a founder’s children.
