Breitbart “News” on Today’s Big Story: US President Barack Obama Bows to Japanese Robot

Beyond parody
Wingnuts • Views: 19,227

Meanwhile, Breitbart “News” is covering the vital issues of the day, from the bizarre parallel universe where they live:

UNITED STATES PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA BOWS TO JAPANESE ROBOT!!!!!

Again with the bowing thing. One of those distorted yet revealing right wing memes that refuses to die.

And wow. The comments.

This puke would bow to a picture of Mohamslice on a toilet seat, in fact I herd he got one in the white house. Course I got specialty 2 ply Mega Role Toilet Paper with Mohamslices picture printed on it.

That was the top one of more than 4000 when I loaded the page. Had to just stop right there.

I’d make a joke about this being proof a global conspiracy where we are secretly ruled by robot aliens. Except I’m not going to go far enough to avoid Poe’s Law. I expect Prison Planet or WND to cover that angle any minute now.

But the problem with the “Dems are the real racist” is that no one believes that this meme is true. Blacks vote for Democrats overwhelmingly (97% of Black women voted for President Obama in 2012). The Democratic party may not be perfect, but it is far from racist. How racist is a political party which supported and elected the first Black President? And which has scores of Black politicians at the lower levels of government?

I guess Presidents they just viscerally hate are not permitted to do the polite or formal things the rest of us do. When did bowing in the local fashion become a magic signal of some subservience rather than a kind and polite gesture? Hmm about the time a black President arrived. It’s pretty funny when they have to stretch that far to find something to bitch and click bait on.

Yeah Presidents will bow to Japanese, cheek kiss a sheikh, shake hands with a western leader and even sometimes utter a few *gasp* foreign words in a speech. Just wait someday a President might hold hands with an Iraqi leader one day when that nation comes out of the violence.

Misplaced outrage is just a tool for tools.

Stuff like this just annoys me to no end.
The modern act of bowing in Eastern Asian countries (most notably South Korea and Japan), is a greeting that would be the equivalent of a handshake in the United States. In this picture, here is no prostration gesture involved that would correspond with an superiority/inferiority relationship between President Obama and Emperor Akihito. In fact it looks more like Obama is leaning in to listen to Akihito speaking, as Empress Michiko is also leaning toward her husband as well. But hey, what is actual context when impotent political derprage is involved?

Well not totally off topic but a lil tangent from a Page I just disagreed with. I added the bold to show what most annoyed. Page link if you want to weigh in.

The latest edition of Rasmussen Reports found 61 per cent of likely U.S. voters support building Keystone XL. Obama’s own State Department has given the project the green-light and, moreover, Canada needs that pipeline to get its product to market.

Nonetheless, Obama puts political gain ahead of friendly relations with a long-time ally, for he won’t do anything to cross billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer, who reportedly plans to provide millions for the 2014 congressional elections, and who is a staunch opponent of constructing the pipeline.

Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska called the Keystone XL decision’s delay “a stunning act of political cowardice.”

I don’t know whether or not Obama is a coward, but he sure isn’t acting like the leader of Canada’s staunchest ally. Really, with friends like Barak Obama, Canada doesn’t need enemies.

Barack Obama: statesman and leader of the free world or just another Chicago-style political boss?

Herbert Hoover (who massacred Veterans at the Bonus March) telling Hitler how much he admires him in 1938.

Herbert Hoover had a special relationship with Adolph Hitler and met with him in 1938. He had become a quiet supporter of the German fuehrer. Hoover would oppose America’s involvement in World War II and fight against FDR’s Lend Lease program to aid Britain. He assured everyone that Hitler would soon conquer Europe and it was better to be his friend.

Hoover was the behind the scenes power of the America First movement, leaving the public face to the freshly scrubbed aviation hero Charles Lindbergh. According to FDR, there could be no doubt that Lindbergh was a Nazi. Lindbergh was finally exposed when he gave his famous anti-Semitic, America First speech in Iowa. After the speech, which blamed the Jews for the world’s unrest, Hoover invited Lindbergh up to his hotel suite at the Waldorf Astoria and praised him. The two would later engage in discussions of impeaching Roosevelt.

That’s a great report. It explains why the BLM backed off: they’re grownups:

“Were we really at the moment where weapons were being aimed by Americans at other Americans? I grew up hunting and for the most part of my adult life I have owned a firearm. Guns are a fact of life in the American west. But I have never found myself in a situation where I was next to someone pointing a firearm at law enforcement.

“After a while it became apparent that the BLM was going to release the cattle to the protesters. Given the circumstances, I don’t think they had much choice. The animals were freed, and no shots were fired.

“As I sent off a message to an editor, I noticed my hand trembling. The reality of how close to gunfire the situation had come sent a chill through me which I will never forget.”

These people are dangerous to society, and should be in custody ASAP.

So,,,stepping back and framing Bundy’s statment as part of a larger speech, this shit just gets worse and worse.

I’m not going to excerpt it, but his anecdote about the Watts riot and his comments about “minorities are against us” require some attention.

The idea that non-whites are duped by the government into accepting lack of freedom is front and center to his larger understanding of what he’s fighting for and who he’s fighting against. They’re the dupes of the monstrous federal bureaucracy, so they’re part of the problem.

As I keeping repeating, these assholes don’t use words like “freedom” and “government” like normal people do,

I’d never hear the slice thing before reading this post. GJ’s guess sounds as plausible as any I’d likely be able to come up with.

In fact, the only other thing I can think of is that it’s an allusion to killing with a sword, but that doesn’t seem like it would be nearly insulting enough (at least not in the feeble mind of the sort of person who thinks up that kind of crap).

Speaking of halal, one of the eye opening “Fox Effect” experiences I’ve had with Conservatives was watching one guy who is actually a Scientist, and started out in the late 1990s as a smart, funny, sometimes wise fellow just go completely racist, Islamophobic, Climate Change denier, Birther crazy.

One time he wrote me asking if I didn’t think it was AWFUL that Dearborn schools were serving halal food!!!!

I told him about the time my Dad, who worked for a fruit processing company, running the QC lab. Part of his job was dealing with complaint letters*. One guy wrote that he didn’t want to pay for the cost of the Orthodox Union inspections that allowed the applesauce to be sold as Kosher for Passover, since he wasn’t Jewish.

My Dad did a quick calculation, and offered to sent him a check for $0.001, the prorated cost.

Has anyone seen the current Showtime documentary on Ghaddafyi? You can see it on On-Demand

Most of it is blah, but at the end they go into how the oil industry got Bush and Blair to turn blind eye to his murders so they could secure oil contracts. At one point the oil industry tries to attack the Pan Am 103 families for their opposition to lifting sanctions, and a CEO of a major oil corporation breaks down and actually cries in the White House when the NSC tells him they can’t lift the sanctions.

They also discuss how Valerie Plame led a undercover unit foiling Khaddfy’s acquisition of nuclear material from AQ Khan.

Bush and company should have served time for damaging national security by blowing Plame’s undercover network.

Castro came to power the good ol-fashioned way: We supported him against Batista because we didn’t like the way he was running things, then turned on Castro when he decided that the wealth of the nation belonged to the people and not the wealthy gringos back in the US.
