The Always Disgusting Jim Hoft: Elliot Rodger Was “Another Far Left Mass Murderer”

Dumbest man on the Internet is also one of the most hateful
Wingnuts • Views: 43,123

As usual, the first out of the gate with a claim that mass murderer Elliot Rodger was a “far leftist” is the renowned Dumbest Man on the Internet, Jim “Dim” Hoft: Another Leftist Killer➙ Santa Barbara Shooter Elliot Rodger Was Fan “Young Turks” Channel | the Gateway Pundit.

That’s right, folks — the entirety of Hoft’s “evidence” for this dim-witted semi-literate smear is that Rodger subscribed to the “Young Turks” channel on YouTube. That’s it.

Another far left mass murderer.

Last night 22 year-old Elliot Rodger went on a shooting spree in Santa Barbara killing six people.

Elliot Rodger posted a crazy video before his mass killing spree titled, “Elliot Rodger Retribution”.

And, Elliot Rodger was a fan of the far left “Young Turks” YouTube Channel.

The Young Turks was one of his favorited channels.

The Young Turk describes itself as “a young progressive or insurgent member of an institution.”

The host of the channel Cenk Uygur is a far left political activist and former MSNBC host.

Remember: this is the blogger who won the “Accuracy in Media” award at CPAC last year.

I’m not going to claim the opposite, that Rodger was a right winger, because it’s pretty clear he was mainly driven by extreme misogyny and malignant narcissism. But come to think of it, that also describes Jim Hoft and his audience amazingly well.

And if I checked the comment section there, I’d likely hear one or more wingnuts telling me the line I’ve had others tell me since yesterday: “If we could lock up all the crazies, this problem would go away!!!”

It’s the same as it ever was, Dim Jim and the rest of the gun fondling crowd want to believe that it’s somebody else who is responsible for all the gun crime, not “responsible gun owners.”

re: #60 Sergey Romanov

In the Middle Ages guys like that would have been inquisitors, torturing and executing “witches”.

Elliot Rodger would have fit the bill well: Angry young son of minor notable. The only wrinkle is that he was the first son, and in those days that meant a wife would be found for him. But perhaps he’d try for the clergy after she fled his cruelty.

Jim Hoft, however, would never make it as an inquisitor. He might be one of their lackies, but inquisitors actually had to complete a substantial amount of education and training, which would have defeated the moronic Hoft.

63 Dark_Falcon  May 25, 2014 12:26:35pm

Here’s a non-insane site whose posts we’ve argued about before:

Hitlist

Image: tumblr_n62rvgDwiO1r9khx4o1_1280.jpg

While it looks like any other “girl with a gun” pic, that is Megumi Simione, the woman who’s husband tried to hire a hitman to kill her, her mother and her brother. Jason Simione is also accused of child abuse and making death threats to the President while amassing a stockpile of explosives, firearms and ammo, which have since been confiscated.

You can read the article in the link below, but if you’re wondering why post this, there are a few reasons. For the most part its a run of the mill “cute girl with gun” pic but at the same time she could very well have been killed in a gruesome manner; supposedly Jason Simione wanted an El Salvadorian hitman or one from MS-13 to do the job. What’s funny is that this will be reblogged without the text and just be passed off as another girl-with-gun-pic.

But more importantly, unstable individuals like Jason Simione are the kinds of people who make law-abiding gun owners look like we’re all crazy. Even though a majority of American gun owners follow the laws and have never committed any crimes with their firearms, it’s stories like this that seem to eclipse all of that. They act as the catalyst for the anti-gun movement. (GRH)

Since it is neither 92º nor thundering here, I should go do a little yard work myself.

66 Lidane  May 25, 2014 12:35:54pm

If your first response to a mass shooting involves:

1. Checking the shooter’s voter registration/voting records to make a blanket political statement about them

2. Saying anything like, “I understand where he’s coming from because women hurt my feelings too!”

3. Questioning the official story as a government false flag/librul plot/Obama conspiracy

4. Excusing his actions as a display of mental illness instead of his rampant misogyny and narcissism

or

4. Trying to find a reason why his carefully researched, by-the-book gun purchases weren’t legal

Then you are part of the problem. It’s as simple as that.

Of course, since Sandy Hook couldn’t change the debate about guns in this country, this story won’t either. People will just find a way to blame the women he killed for their own deaths, or they’ll just call him crazy and move on, or whatever. Nothing is going to change after this at all.

It’s easier to dehumanize a large swath of the American population and incarcerate them indefinitely than it is to confront their cargo cult devotion to firearms.

And it’s all the ‘lucky’ successful people holding them back… nothing they’re doing could possibly be to blame

Yes, really.

70 Targetpractice  May 25, 2014 12:47:19pm

re: #66 Lidane

Things won’t ever change so long as there’s an “other” to blame. Used to be black folks, then it was latinos, now it’s the mentally ill. The cry is always that it’s not “responsible gun owners” who are at fault,” it’s the “other” who is at fault for exploiting the gaping loopholes that the NRA pokes into gun control laws in the name of “freedom.”

Personality disorders like narcissism and sociopathy are really hard to deal with, both to diagnose and to treat. Sociopaths in particular are good at pretending to act normal.

Ultimately, this perp made a deliberate choice to deal with his issues in an evil and destructive way. Had he survived, I do not think there would have been a legitimate insanity defense.

I think all righthtinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not! And I’m sick and tired of being told that I am.

Sooo you admit you’re sick! /

supper cooking: chicken, kielbasa, yellow summer squash and sweet onion in a mango curry sauce (with added fresh mango juice and chunks) now simmering on the stove. Have some tri-color gnocchi (potato, sun-dried tomato and spinach) to serve with it instead of the usual rice.

OT: Just sat down at computer; saw Sergey mention Pamela Geller; decided to go see what she might be shrieking about this afternoon. Featured story?

Papal jihad: The Islamization of the Pope

*headdesk, hit “back” button*

The next two articles were about attacks against Jews outside a synagogue in France today, and at a Jewish museum in Brussels yesterday. Both have the catogory “Jew Hatred: Myths and Lies, Modern Arguments to Age Old Hate”, with the most recent having the category “Evil’s Essential Oils” added.

Remember that Page I did last week about the book on antisemitism I bought? The more I delve into it the clearer it becomes that her intense hatred of Muslims has transformed her into exactly the sort of monster she constantly rails against when it comes to Jew-hatred. She uses the same tactics antisemites throughout the ages have used.

One of the especially horrible stories I learned about just last night via episode four of The Story of the Jews happened in Plungė, Lithuania. In 1941 all the town’s Jews—close to 2,000 of them—were rounded up and sealed up in the town’s synagogue for two weeks where they were left to fend for themselves—no food, nowhere to bathe or relieve themselves, etc. The bodies of people who died were left there, decomposing, for them to deal with.

When they were finally released, they were forced to defile & destroy their sacred Torah scrolls (by burning them), then were marched out into the woods and made to dig their own mass graves before being shot.

These horrors all start with speech, hate speech composed of lies, stereotypes and myths that demonize the “Other” by playing to people’s fears & anxieties—Geller’s stock in trade.

It’s really quite disturbing. Part of me feels a twinge of pity for her lack of emotional health, but then another part of me remembers that she’s making a decent living off of spreading the very same type of evil that led to brutal pogroms and the genocide of millions of Jews I’m reading about, and I loathe her from the bottom of my heart for it.

Anyway, sorry for the tl;dr comment, it wasn’t my intent.

I have some photos I promised to take, so BBL.

re: #106 CuriousLurker

Don’t apologize, you’re spot on with this. Monsters may have different goals, but they mostly operate in the same ways. You can’t commit atrocity (or make a good living at it) without making sure your hatred spreads like a virus. If people don’t get on board, evil has less of a chance to flourish. And it does work that way, hatred is contagious and addictive. And if you notice, it also ages people dramatically, precisely because it’s unhealthy. I think it rots you from the inside. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if some of the people who’ve been at this for several years don’t also have assorted physical issues too.

All of this is frightening to watch sometimes. America is a really strong country, but we are not immune to destroying ourselves from within. I’d argue it’s about the only way we can destroy the nation. Sometimes it makes me really sad and anxious. And I wonder if other people feel it and that’s why so many people are medicated or self medicating right now.

That’s the only way to destroy a nation. Oh, you can apply pressure and persuasion from outside, but in the end the death of a nation requires that a sufficiency of the nation’s populace give up if not turn to your side and against themselves.

Search/replace Muslims with Jews, terrorists with revolutionaries, Koran with Talmud (etc.) and you got yourself a typical pre-revolutionary antisemitic Russian pamphlet.

THIS. The most chilling part is that the atrocities are committed with the help of “normal” people. Like in Plunge—it might have been the Nazi who rounded up the Jews, but they did it with the active help of the local Lithuanians, people who’d been living side by side with their Jewish neighbors for generations.

It boggles the mind, our human capacity for pure evil.

It’s the same as it ever was, Dim Jim and the rest of the gun fondling crowd want to believe that it’s somebody else who is responsible for all the gun crime, not “responsible gun owners.”

Notice where their concern is? To hell with recognizing how we treat/view women: PRO-TEKT AR GUNNZZZZ!

re: #49 Eclectic Cyborg

On a related note, I got the page done to expand on my thoughts on the links between the Isla vista shootings and a similarly motivated massacre in Canada 25 years ago.

Echoes of Montreal - Isla Vista shows us 25 years doesn’t change much

I remember how I found out about that one: my mother practically ran into my room & exclaimed, “See? You’d better cut out all that feminist stuff - men don’t like it!” She was almost smug about it, IIRC. When I got over the shock of that incredibly ridiculous conclusion, I retorted, “Hitler didn’t like Jews, either. Should we have stopped that, too?” Naturally, that only irritated her.

Disclaimer: Mom really meant well; it was obviously a generational thing.
