After the call was cut short, Johnson denied that he was the caller who kept interrupting with the accusations, but he may have violated Twitters terms of service by trying to get people involved in the call.

After the call, Johnson tweeted the personal cell phone number of a spokesperson for the Cochran campaign.

Publishing someone’s personal information, including “non-public, personal phone numbers,” can be a violation of Twitter rules. According to Twitter, not all postings violate the rules. The company takes into account the “context and nature of the information posted,” as well as local privacy laws.

Yeah, great way to spend your time on the internet.

DENVER (Reuters) - Federal authorities in Denver have arrested a woman accused of providing material support to Islamist insurgents fighting the governments of Syria and Iraq, and of conspiring to commit an offense against the United States, officials said on Wednesday.

“According to a criminal complaint filed with U.S. District Court in Colorado, Shannon Maureen Conley knew the group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIL or ISIS, was designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The group renamed itself “Islamic State” at the weekend.

“It said she met a co-conspirator, only identified as Y.M. in court papers, on the Internet sometime in 2013. It said the pair “shared their view of Islam as requiring participation in violent jihad against any non-believers,” and Y.M. told her he was an active member of ISIL. ” More

More on the 19 yr old arrested on terrorism charges.

www2.thedenverchannel.com

“Authorities began investigating Conley on Nov. 5, 2013 when the pastor at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada called local police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to report the teen had been spotted suspiciously taking notes at the church’s main campus at 6120 Ward Road on several Sundays at October, according to a federal affidavit supporting the criminal complaint.

“Church officials have a heightened awareness about security because Faith Bible Chapel was the scene of a shooting in December 2007 when a man named Matthew Murray opened fire at the church’s Youth with a Mission Training Center, killing two missionaries. A few hours later, Murray went on a shooting spree at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, killing two more people. He was shot by a volunteer church security staffer and eventually took his own life.

“So Faith Bible Chapel staff reacted quickly when they believed Conley was taking notes on various locations and the layout of the campus, the affidavit said.” More

“We hire a lot of people — black, white, young, old — to help with get-out-the-vote efforts,” Russell said. “… Whether you’re a high school kid in northeast Jackson or a retired nurse in Greenwood, if you’re out working doors for us, you get paid in cash, in an envelope. Saleem asked the guy for names and addresses for (Federal Election Commission) filing purposes. Why would you ask a guy for names and addresses if you’re buying votes?”

Jordan said the campaign agreed to pay Fielder $600, half up front, for campaign work.

“He was paid for reimbursement for gas, driving people around, get-out-the-vote work,” Russell said. “But he never completed any work for the second $300. He never provided any names and addresses of people he said he was getting. … He waffled on providing names and addresses.”

The report says Fielder is an associate pastor at First Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian.

Church Deacon Robert Markham said Fielder is not an associate pastor at the church but is a self-proclaimed minister.

Fielder appears to simply be a crank who was out to scam a paycheck. He never delivered any proof that he put in any real work so the Cochran campaign didn’t give him a second payment. Then Charles C. Johnson found him and paid him for a tall tale.

20 goddamnedfrank  Jul 2, 2014 4:31:50pm
Both Markham and Clark say Fielder’s reputation in the area is less than stellar.

“Whenever an election comes around, he makes himself available to whatever party he can get to avail him,” Clark said. “His reputation here is not good, and that’s putting it mildly.”

29 goddamnedfrank  Jul 2, 2014 4:48:28pm

Even if the FMBC deacon hadn’t disavowed Stevie Fielder’s story of being an associate pastor Fielder’s appearance alone might have raised some significant red flags. Actual employed pastors, especially southern black pastors, tend to put some effort into their appearance. It’s a profession where first impressions matter, you clean up before talking to folks. Fielder looks like a scrub with a lot of city miles on him.

Church members aren’t the only ones to question Fielder’s credibility. In the past, Fielder has been prosecuted twice for home repair fraud. And Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson says she has not noticed any voting irregularities for Lauderdale County during this runoff.

Fielder said at 11 this morning, he wanted to discuss his allegations. He called again 20 minutes later to set up a new meeting place for the interview, and then again just a couple hours later to cancel entirely.

Way off topic, but does anyone here have experience with SSDs? It’s time for a rebuild of my PC and I think with prices coming down, it’s time to try out using an SSD as my OS drive.

I’m picking up a 1TB WD mechanical drive for storage so I don’t need a huge SSD, just one that is large enough for my OSes (planning on a small 10GB or so Linux partition as well as Windows), and my most frequently used apps and games.

I’m currently thinking about the PNY XLR8 Pro 240gb but am open to suggestions from people with more experience with them than I. Is it a good drive or should I look elsewhere?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

In general, folks are more likely to complain if they have a problem versus if they don’t.

I am on the same drive I got …three years ago? Husband’s is even older. It’s the normal headache for a tech rebuild, if you get a lemon, but the advantages are SO TOTALLY WORTH IT. Reboots are super-fast.

Yeah I’m looking forward to upgrading my box. Hasn’t seen much of anything new for the past 5 years or so. Dropped in a new motherboard, CPU and ram last month, and this month is the drives, psu, and video card. Should bring everything back up to a state of respectability. Heh, I can actually probably play some decent games on it again. (the amd 4850 just wasn’t cutting it anymore).

The reference flies way over my head.

Video game. There was a tea party group that used images from it, not knowing that they trolled themselves. Text image looks like it comes from that game.

Anyone remember what’s written on Liberty’s base?

Now that’s what you call ironic.

As soon as I saw that stupid FOX graphic I thought of that statement.

FOX knows it too. But they will never miss an attempt to sell red meat to the idiots they cater to that have zero idea of history because they would have had to learn it.

They need to hire a better 3d studio. That Statue…

Even if they wanted an artistic look and not a realistic 3D rendering…they could have done way better.

re: #83 Whack-A-Mole

Move your users folder to your bigger drive.
Except the favourites folder.

Beware of SSD kernel panic.
