Wingnut vs. Wingnut: The Chuck C. Johnson Meltdown Continues

Nice to see them direct their hatred at each other for a change
Wingnuts • Views: 27,030

Crazed right wing hatchet man Chuck C. Johnson (I refuse to call him a “journalist”) is now lashing out like a rabid weasel at GOP strategist Brad Dayspring, and all sane people are the winners.

Here’s one of the stream of tweets in this bizarre pissing match, in which Johnson (who is NOT ME) accuses Dayspring of being responsible for the apparent suicide of Tea Party operative Mark Mayfield.

Who ever expected the Cochran-McDaniel race to yield this much high-quality wingnut-on-wingnut action?

.@ChuckCJohnson you are afraid to answer my questions. You aren’t a “journalist,” you are a pathetic little boy who yearns for attention.
— Brad Dayspring (@BDayspring) July 2, 2014

While this is, in fact, quite accurate, could it not also be extended to basically every other freakazoid right-wing screamer polluting our national discourse? Dayspring is so, so close to pulling back a bit, and realizing that the utter toxic stew that is conservative/GOP politics these days extends far beyond that laughable clown.

Hope he can take that next step and decide that reasonable people of good conscience can no longer work within the constraints of such a nihilistic, ignorant, rage-fueled construct.

Which was, in an indirect way, my point. I’ve said this several times here before - Jesus wouldn’t be a rich white dude going to church every Sunday in a suit and tie; He’d be hanging out down at the bar during the day and sleeping in the street (or on someone else’s couch) every night.

Wingnut and very concerned moral scold who hates teh sexytimes Rod Dreher is now demending that Christian businesses and non profits competing for federal contracts be exempted from new guidelines stipulating that they cannot discriminate against GLBT people.

Because freedom.

His own commetariat is eating his ass on this one, though…

Darth Thulhu says:

Glaivester wrote:

Uh - currently federal contractors are not banned from discriminating against gays and lesbians

Fifty years ago, they weren’t banned from discriminating against blacks either. Now, they are banned from discriminating on that basis, and absolutely every single person who wants their opinion to be taken seriously agrees that this has been a moral improvement.

Trust me, this really isn’t the hill you want to die on.

If Obama carves out an exemption for them, the situation would still be more pro-gay rights than the status quo.

“If we let these newly formed White Academies that are popping up across like weeds continue to discriminate against blacks while still receiving federal money, it will still be more pro-black rights than the 1950s status quo!”

Again: not the argument you want to be making out loud.

I’m not certain what you are freaking out about, it’s not like he would be taking away anything you currently have.

“By Jove, these uppity darkies confound me! I cannot ascertain why they “freak out” about allowing me to continue discriminating against them in perpetuity. It’s not as if that takes away any rights they currently have!!”

Again, again: listen to yourself. Not the arguments you and yours are going to proud of, when this shakes out.

And Note To Rod: This is the kind of Republican ally of yours that I mean when I refer to your unhelpful animus-driven fellow warriors. These kind of “all or nothing” behaviors keep sowing the wind. The Law of Merited Whirlwind Reaping is going to leave you with nothing, if you and yours keep indulging this kind of thing.

So awful that he went to the bar we have in the office, grabbed a bottle of Jameson, and poured some in. Unfortunately for him, it made it worse!
