Michele Bachmann: Obama Is Planning to Do Medical Experiments on Migrant Kids

Good freaking grief
Wingnuts • Views: 30,404

Well, it’s crazy day in the right wing universe and the xenophobic insanity over migrant children just keeps getting worse.

Now Michele “Crazy Eyes” Bachmann is weighing in on the religious right radio program Wallbuilders Live, with a new theory, that is her theory, which is hers, that President Obama is sneaking all these children into the US so the evil liberal medical community can grab them and use them for medical experiments.

This is real, by the way, not from one of those “satirical” fake websites. She really said this. Gah.

Is it any wonder that people took the hoax about her suggesting “camps” be set up completely seriously?

2 HappyWarrior  Jul 30, 2014 3:32:49pm

So Bachmann thinks our president is like Mengele. That sounds perfectly logical and rational I guess if you’re an abject moron who will believe and spread any anti-Obama conspiracy theory you can and frankly if Michele cared so much about these kids and their well being, she wouldn’t be throwing her lot in on the issue with Louie Gohmert and Steve King who think these kids are rapists.

3 Targetpractice  Jul 30, 2014 3:33:39pm

Yes folks, the GOP has no time to address the very real crisis on the border, because there’s more important issues at stake.

4 RealityBasedSteve  Jul 30, 2014 3:34:04pm

I posted this a couple of flights downstairs, but it’s particularly apt now.

There once was a woman named Bachmann
Whose pronouncements were totally rotten
With those crazy eyes
and multiple lies
Someone please stuff her mouth with some cotton.

I’m just in a limerick kind of mood today. Used to make up a new one for our receptionist each day.

Bachman has been popping out the bad ideas lately as if she’s the Duggar family of conspiracy theorists. I’m wondering if she feels freed up by not running for re-election in the same way that Obama seems to be feeling feeling freed by not having to run again.

,,,except that Obama is taking the opportunity to do, like, good stuff that benefits lots of people, while Bachman is just using the opportunity to be a fountain of derp.

Only about 47% though. They’ve only done much better than that once in the last six elections, and the demographics just keep getting worse for them.

49 aagcobb  Jul 30, 2014 4:10:23pm

By the way, the GDP report was really, really good. Look at this quote;

Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, which helped calculate the data, said he expects the country to reach full employment by late 2016. “At the current pace of job growth, unemployment will quickly decline,” he said. “Layoffs are still receding, and hiring and job openings are picking up.”

Full employment, just in time for the November 2016 election. It could be a landslide of historic proportions for Hillary. She polled at 46% with white voters in a hypothetical matchup with Romney; even Bill never got that high a level of support with whites.

That’s still way too close for comfort. One bad election cycle for the Democrats (e.g., weak presidential candidate and/or media crap) and we could be looking at full GOP control at the Federal level.

The 25% GOP true believers are a lost cause. What irks me is the next 22% or so that ultimately end up enabling GOP malice and madness by nearly always finding excuses to vote GOP.

Since this is a Crazy Eyes thread, I’m moving this from the dead one. We might need to tighten the criteria for “responsible gun owner”.

Nearly Nude Dude Who Fired Gun Outside Pizzeria May Have Been on Acid

After he was apprehended at his home, allegedly still holding the gun, Engle admitted to police that he had taken four hits of LSD before piling his three kids into the car (ages 3, 4, and, 6), grabbing his .40 caliber semi automatic pistol, and heading to Happy’s for a piping hot slice of Muskegon-style street justice, all while basically butt-naked. He told the arresting officers he started the scene because he was upset at not being able to get any pizza, but the shop was open for business at the time (7:30 p.m.), with two employees inside, ready to serve.

Since 110% disapproval is impossible, sensible people will reject that possibility. The GOP base, on the other hand, loves this kind of sleaze.

… when the social-media specialist for a private Provo-based English language learning center wrote a blog explaining homophones, he was let go for creating the perception that the school promoted a gay agenda.

Tim Torkildson says after he wrote the blog on the website of his employer, Nomen Global Language Center, his boss and Nomen owner Clarke Woodger, called him into his office and told him he was fired.

As Torkildson tells it, Woodger said he could not trust him and that the blog about homophones was the last straw.

“Now our school is going to be associated with homosexuality,” Woodger complained, according to Torkildson, who posted the exchange on his Facebook page.

Running joke from the movie Orgasmo

“I’m from Utah!”
(remorsefully): “I’m sorry.”

153 lawhawk  Jul 30, 2014 5:23:44pm

I’m checking through my twitter feed. Notice Malkin pimping some Breitbart piece about the Tucson Sheriff’s claiming that there’s been 120,000 illegal aliens arrested in his sector.

Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu announced that over 120,000 illegal immigrants have been arrested in just the Tucson sector of the southern border. “We have [had] 123,000 illegals arrested right here in the Tucson sector” Babeu said on Wednesday’s “Sean Hannity Show.” He added that eight “cartel scouts” arrested in the last month. “close to 60,000, what’s predicted to be 90,000 by October 1 of unaccompanied juveniles” are expected cross the border in just the Del Rio Sector of Texas.

So, I’m piqued because there’s no time period associated, so this could be 1 year. 10 years. Or longer.

I’m digging into the Pima County Sheriff’s office statistics. They’ve got border-control related statistics. For 2008 through 2012 (inclusive), there were all of 902 arrests by the sheriff’s office border patrol units. There were another 1715 who were referred to border patrol for potential deportation. The agency’s general arrest statistics indicated that they had all of ~10,000 calls for service for 2013. That’s all calls.

Something stinks something rotten.

re: #174 lawhawk

Thanks. I’m having trouble finding the equivalent statistics for Pinal County.

I’m doing a little bit of looking too, did find this so far:

When it was over, Sheriff Paul Babeu issued a news release declaring that Pinal County is “the No. 1 pass-through county in all of America for drug and human trafficking.”

It’s a line the sheriff has used countless times - most recently on Thursday in testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security - as he criticizes the federal government for failing to secure the border.

There’s just one problem: There is no data to support the assertion.

In fact, an Arizona Republic analysis of statistics from local, state and federal sources found that, while sheriff’s officials do bust smugglers and seize pot, Pinal County accounts for only a fraction of overall trafficking.

176 klys  Jul 30, 2014 6:13:48pm

re: #175 klys

Apparently this guy didn’t get the message the sheriff wanted put out in that timeframe.

Thomas acknowledges that the border-related crime he sees — usually from “rip” crews stealing from those migrants — hasn’t inflicted much chaos on nearby residents. “It’s not really a lot of violence against citizens,” Thomas says. “Mostly, it’s just criminals on criminals.”

177 lawhawk  Jul 30, 2014 6:14:27pm

re: #175 klys

I found this state compendium of crime for 2012. Pinal has a fraction of the crime that Pima does.

There were 250,000 crimes reported under the federal reporting standards for 2012.

We’re supposed to believe that more than half were by illegals? Oh, and there were a total of 49,187 arrests for 2012 - statewide.

178 BeachDem  Jul 30, 2014 6:20:47pm

And just wanted to say (although the thread is dead) that the Pima County Sheriff, Clarence Dupnik, is much beloved by Tucson, according to a friend who lives there. When Gaby Giffords was shot—

By declaring Arizona a “mecca for racism and bigotry” and blaming heated rhetoric on the right for the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik gave voice to those looking for a cause of Saturday’s violence.
