Blogger Chuck C. Johnson’s Attack on Michael Brown Fails, So He Goes After Brown’s Stepfather

Desperation time for Chuck
Wingnuts • Views: 35,491

As we reported yesterday, wingnut hack Chuck C. Johnson’s attempt to smear Michael Brown (the unarmed teenager gunned down in a Ferguson, Missouri street by police officer Darren Wilson) as a juvenile criminal involved in a second degree murder has failed spectacularly, as St. Louis County’s juvenile court hearing revealed that Brown had no felony convictions or charges.

So what else can Johnson do except to start assassinating the character of other Brown family members?

The attempt to smear Michael Brown as a criminal by unsealing his juvenile records was obviously irrelevant to his shooting death. But this latest effort from Johnson is nothing more than pure racist incitement at its lowest.

So, what crimes does a person have to commit that would justify shooting his unarmed family members?

Can someone explain to me how the fuck Louis Heads rap sheet has ANYTHING TO DO WITH MICHAEL BROWN???

I wonder, could Head sue Johnson for this?

6 Bulworth  Sep 4, 2014 11:03:17am
Today’s research targets: Louis Head’s rap sheet. He’s #MichaelBrown’s step father…

Does he think Brown’s stepfather shot Michael Brown?

Here is where he tries to tie it in:

Could it have been that his stepfather, a known member of a gang, offered a deal to free his stepson?

This is what is done in a lot of gang disputes and that’s what we’ve heard.

and then, get this:

It helps to explain why Brown’s family members were wearing red at the funeral.

Chuck C Johnson is playing the odds. With what’s known about the Ferguson PD and the way that they treat residents as a piggy bank with a revolving door of tickets, warrants, and failed appearances, the whole situation smacks of institutionalized racism.

It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that anyone in Ferguson has an outstanding warrant for failing to appear before a court to deal with any number of parking or moving violations. That’s what the Ferguson PD does - issue lots of tickets, and the courts hold session for such a short period of time and limit access to the courtroom that it’s impossible to get heard and fight the tickets.

But that’s playing objectively, as if the stepfather has anything to do with Officer Darren Wilson shooting his stepson Michael Brown.

The stepfather wasn’t there. He wasn’t involved. It’s completely irrelevant.

Chuck is simply trying to smear Brown by association. It’s not a search for facts or evidence. It’s about tainting the possible jury pool by insinuating that Brown was a bad apple (as the FPD did spectacularly when they released the video of the incident at the Ferguson Market and Liquor, even though the FPD chief said that the shooting was unrelated and Wilson didn’t know that the other event had even occurred).

It’s all part of a smear campaign to keep Wilson from ever seeing the inside of a courtroom for his actions in shooting and killing an unarmed black man.

The sheer malice and venom this prick is capable of is unreal. And for what? So he and other bigots can justify gunning down a black kid who surrendering at the time of his murder?

And I absolutely will go here: this guy is the end result of 20 years of conservatives losing touch with reality. You guys created this fucking monster; grow a spine and own up to it.

Yes, and according to the “evidence” presented…the charges were from 1999 and 2003.

Let’s see, Michael Brown would have been about 3 and 7 years old respectively.
Was he even in Michael Brown’s life at that time?

WTF is wrong with Chuck C Johnson?

What did his parents DO to him. Someone should investigate!

Remember a few day back where he tweeted some of his fondest memories are listening to Rush Limbaugh with his grand mom?

Assuming it’s not a troll statement and actually true, it would speak volumes of the kind of upbringing this guy may have had.

Quite frankly, claiming to have cherished memories of listing to Rush with older family members says to me that that family had some issues with minorities. As in “Racist as all fuck.”

I won’t go to his website—looking at his idiotic Twitter feed is more than enough for me.

I do remember a tweet from awhile back where he was bitching about how minority students at his prep school got accepted at better colleges with worse grades than his, so he’s obviously still butthurt about that perceived slight (if, in fact, it ever even happened.) Because, how could he be overlooked when he won ACADEMIC AWARDS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!!!!

All this below is purely hypothetical. It’s a what-if, and I have no reason to believe any part of it is true. But that’s the way it goes with hypotheticals.

Suppose at trial the argument is made that Wilson wouldn’t have done what he’s accused of doing because he never does anything like that. Suppose the prosecution doesn’t agree with that claim or argument because one of the prosecutors remembers when Wilson was 17 and he shot somebody who was running away. And suppose that’s part of Wilson’s juvenile record so it’s sealed.

Would the prosecution be in a better position at trial if they could bring that up? In other words, would it be relevant?

Yes, it would. Character and past history are relevant to the estimation of the likelihood that somebody would have done something.

It is not true that every possible juvenile record would be irrelevant to how a court would weigh the likelihood of various scenarios advanced by defense and prosecution. What is true is that the actual juvenile record of Brown works in his favor, and unsmears his name, and puts Wilson in a marginally tighter spot than he was already in back when the theoretical possibility that Brown had a bad juvenile record had not yet been closed off. But since this effect is only marginal, it’s only barely relevant to the case that will be tried. And juries are normally not exposed to barely-relevant, and for all practical purposes irrelevant, evidence, because people have a hard time distinguishing barely relevant from entirely irrelevant.

(Example: if I’m wondering whether all swans are white, and I see a black bear, that’s barely relevant. [It’s an example of a nonwhite nonswan.] But the relevance is so laughably tiny that it should be entirely ignored.)

Holder to Speak on Ferguson Probe

Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to announce a broad federal investigation of the Ferguson, Missouri, police department on Wednesday — a probe that would go much further than the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Holder plans to address reporters in Washington at 2:30 p.m. ET.

VA has like 7,319 different license plates. It’s insane. I’ve even seen ones with university logos from different states (Florida State University comes to mind).

My “favorite” Gadsden one so far, though, has been “IMP BHO”.

Edit: example - here are the colleges. I think there are about 200 license plates on this page alone, I can’t be bothered to count them all. The site says there are over 200 in total, just clicking around I bet there are 500+.

I’m still waiting to hear why the people who fear living in Obama’s Police State are lining up behind the notion that there’s any crime that someone could have committed in the past that justifies being executed in the street in the present.

Michael Brown was not committing a crime or endangering the public at the time Wilson stopped him and didn’t do anything that justified being shot and killed. Full stop.

Shoplifting cigars is not a capital crime. Recording rap lyrics or “flashing gang signs” on Facebook are not capital crimes. Hell, talking back to a police officer is not a capital crime.
