More Right Wing Racist Humor From the Dumbest Man on the Internet

Is Jim Hoft mentally ill?

DERP

The strange, twisted creature that calls itself Jim Hoft (and that other people call “the Dumbest Man on the Internet”) has a real herp-de-derp bit of right wing humor today.

Right wing humor, for the uninitiated, is humor that’s not funny. At all. It’s distinguished by its sheer mean-spiritedness. It’s the kind of humor that appeals to schoolyard bullies, sociopaths, and members of the Aryan Nation.

In this case, the Hoft-thing’s idea of humor is to zoom in on an image of Michelle Obama from a new “Funny or Die” video; the joke is that as the First Lady eats a carrot, she touches it to her top lip for a split second.

Have you EVER SEEN anything so side-splittingly hilarious? Hurr hurr.

Hoft’s knuckle-dragging readers respond as he intended; here are a few samples from his comment section, hidden by default because they’re unbelievably ugly and openly racist.

Every time I see a photo of her - EVERY TIME - I again realize how unspeakably ugly she is. Her latest thing is now her “white lady hair” - you’ll notice how straight and light brown it is. Sorta matches her “white lady nose” which she got some time ago, replacing her obviously-African-heritage nose. So much for being a role model for African-American women. And her arm gesture - a “take that” (of perhaps a f**k you”) movement as she bites the carrot - so ghetto. Like her husband, she’s a fraud, an empty shell, a useless evil little waste of oxygen.

[…]

That’s a Dude

[…]

She usually has a d!ck in her mouth, but it ain’t barry’s.

[…]

She was flashing an arcane gang sign with that carrot.

But now for something completely different — something that actually is humorous, the Funny or Die video Hoft used for his disgusting post:

Funny Or Die

Heh isn’t their big knock on Mrs. Obama that she doesn’t have a sense of humor? By the way I believe that kid playing the student president was also in Kickass with Chloe. Hoft’s a sad little man.

I was born in Salisbury, within sight of Stonehenge (if you climbed a steeple) and on June 21st no less. Years ago, I briefly dated a woman who thought I must have vast paranormal powers to have been born on the summer solstice so close to Stonehenge. She was disappointed to learn that I did not believe in such things and was in fact a rationalist. She considered it a scandalous waste.
I finally parted company with her when she began planning a trip to Peru to meet some UFOs during a harmonic convergence at a sacred Inca site. She had also heard a rumor that Jesus Christ himself might put in an appearance. I told her to be sure and get pictures. She flew into a rage and denounced me as a cynic and spiritual derelict.
I’ve been to Stonehenge many times. Beautiful and evocative place. The truth about those ancient people is probably more interesting and inspiring than any commercialized supernaturalist fantasy.

I really don’t get that whole ‘Michelle is a tranny!’ thing. Every transexual woman, or transvestite man I’ve ever seen has broad shoulders and narrow hips - like a guy. Michelle has the opposite, and Conservatives even use her hips to claim she’s fat. So, even leaving aside the whole issue of attacking the WIFE of the President for her appearance, how does this even make any damned sense?

60 EPR-radar  Sep 5, 2014 11:33:57am

For what it’s worth, I don’t think the rhetorical question “Is Jim Hoft mentally ill?” in the original post is appropriate.

There is nothing good about conflating willful stupidity and deliberate malice (both of which are choices Jim Hoft has deliberately embraced) with mental illness.

Edited to add: “Is Jim Hoft a sociopath?” (or a psychopath) would be fair game as a rhetorical question, since there would be no splash damage to other kinds of mental illness that have no conceivable relation to Hoft’s antics (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc., etc.).

Ha. I love this comment from one of the stories at the link in the (3/X) tweet. The story is Checking Charles Johnson’s Logic on Fall Break. The comment is dated 11/5/2009.

With all due respect, anybody expecting Charles to use logic is expecting way too much.

It’s very common knowledge at CMC (students, profs, and the administration) that logic or rational thought are not Charles’ best traits. And anybody who has even glanced momentarily at a psych textbook can tell you that his more illustrative traits of hatred, grandiosity, anger, irrationality, pride, narcissism, self-centered greed, name-calling, self-righteousness, close-mindedness, general misanthropic tendencies — all the standard traits that rot the soul and stink the place out for everyone nearby — are rooted in fear and insecurity.

This is not a slam — it’s just how some people are. The only thing we can collectively hope for is that one day he’ll realize what he’s doing — and that the shame and guilt that will inevitably ensue, will not consume him.

Obviously Chuck never came to that realization.

The armed militia member who was shot at by a border patrol agent last week is a convicted felon.

Rio Grande Valley TV station KRGV reported Wednesday that records show the man, John Frederick Forester, has misdemeanor convictions for theft and trespassing and a felony conviction for burglary.

Forester was violating federal statutes, then, when a border patrol agent who was chasing a group of immigrants last Friday in Brownsville, Texas spotted him holding a gun.

Texas law, however, allows a felon to possess a gun after five years have elapsed since his or her release from prison. Forester was not in violation of state law, according to KRGV.

A snip:

The bible, and yes, I’ve read it, mentions homosexuality a grand total of six times. Six. But that very same Christian bible condemns hypocrisy hundreds of times. It condemns cruelty, inhumanity, greed, narcissism, envy, sloth, gluttony, pride, selfishness, ignorance, stupidity, intolerance, deceit, giving false witness, sowing discord, and mostly especially HATE over and over and over again. Jesus, himself, never mentioned homosexuality, not once, and that, that right there, seems to be one (heh heh) HELL of a glaring oversight, doesn’t it? I mean, if it was that important to God and all, you’d really think Jesus would have specifically said something about it, wouldn’t you?

Training to deal with school shooters is something police nationwide undertake in the wake of deadly attacks at schools like Columbine and Sandy Hook.

But the KHOU 11 News I-Team discovered not only are school police training to do battle, they’re equipping themselves for it too.

State records show 10 different school district police departments in Texas received military surplus equipment, including trucks, guns, and armor, through a Department of Defense program.

For a minute there I thought you were living the Woody Allen movie Stardust Memories.

re: #207 Timothy Watson

Air Force Instruction 36-2606 spells out the active-duty oath of enlistment, which all airmen must take when they enlist or reenlist and ends with “so help me God.” The old version of that AFI included an exception: “Note: Airmen may omit the words ‘so help me God,’ if desired for personal reasons.”
That language was dropped in an Oct. 30, 2013, update to the AFI. The relevant section of that AFI now only lists the active-duty oath of enlistment, without giving airmen any option to choose not to swear an oath to a deity.
“Reciting ‘So help me God’ in the reenlistment and commissioning oaths is a statutory requirement under Title 10 USC 502,” Air Force spokeswoman Rose Richeson said Thursday. AFI 36-2606 “is consistent with the language mandated in 10 USC 502. Paragraph 5.6 [and] was changed in October 2013 to reflect the aforementioned statutory requirement and airmen are no longer authorized to omit the words ‘So help me God.’ ”
The Air Force said it cannot change its AFI to make “so help me God” optional unless Congress changes the statute mandating it.

Not even going to post it because it is just too stupid for words, but does CCJ not get the one major difference between Michael Brown and Tawana Brawley or Mike Nifong is that Michael Brown is fucking DEAD.

There really is no “narrative” necessary about Michael Brown, other than the fact that Darren Wilson shot him dead in the middle of the street.

Top Anti-Immigrant Activist Charged With Sexual Abuse

Maryland GOP politician Michael Hethmon, who also serves as senior counsel for the Immigration Reform Law Institute, has been charged with child sexual abuse over claims that he molested an 8-year-old girl, according to WUSA.

The IRLI is the legal arm of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and Hethmon worked with Kris Kobach, who is now the Secretary of State of Kansas, to push anti-immigrant laws across the country and provide legal advice to anti-immigrant lawmakers.

Hethmon has warned that immigration is a threat to the country’s white majority and will lead to violence, and especially focused on creating policies that would lead to “self-deportation.”

Raoul Duke: I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

Raoul Duke: [narrating] Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:

Raoul Duke: Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

[swatting the air]

Raoul Duke: Huh! Huh! Huh! Fucking pigs.

Dr. Gonzo: Did you say something?

Happy start-to-the-weekend, everyone.

Someone in an earlier thread asked me how I knew that Michael Brown’s “My Hands My Ammunition” was a song. Unfortunately, I don’t have “posting” capability from work, so this is the first chance I’ve had to answer.

I don’t honestly know that it’s a song; I thought it seemed likely. If you go to Johnson’s site (I know, I know — morbid curiosity, I guess), he’s got pics posted of Brown’s social media.

One of the photos references a music site called soniccloud.com that references “bigmike-jr-brown/tracks.” The two lines above that read “My Hands My Ammunition” and “Long Story Short” (guessing the “#IDGAF” beside the latter means…well, modesty forbids).

I don’t know that I’d be willing to bet the farm that those are song titles; it just seems awfully likely.

The other day, I walked by a mother, wearing a burqa, who was with her children, and after they’d passed for the first time in over forty-five years I made the Catholic sign of the cross in the hope that it would protect her from the assholes of this too often asinine nation.

I work in Dearborn and I do my shopping there, and while I see many women in hijab it is EXTREMELY RARE to see someone in niqab. I’m not saying I have never seen it, but it’s not common.

I see something portentous in the rise of Chuck C.
With his penchant for grammatical, spelling, and syntax errors (“rights” for “rites,” etc.) he is every wingnut’s wingnut, a true man-boy of the (stupid) people. With his sense of the grandiose and his massive narcissism, he could be the right wing’s leader of the future, the near future at that. Fortunately he will not be old enough to run for POTUS until 2024, but no telling how far down the highway to Idiocracy the right will have gone by then.
Strange days, strange days indeed.

He’s the mutant spawn of Rush Limbaugh and every hateful pusbag that has a show on Fox News. The monster of the Id.

He’ll probably wind up pretty well off, if he can get a Koch brother to buy his schtick.

Someone has a book to sell.

Alas, wingnut welfare will likely kick in. There’s nothing off limits there; the whackier the better.

I’m guessing the camera is an Exakta. My dad had one very much like that he bought while stationed in West Germany. What I know about lenses could fit into the lens cap of the teensy-weensiest cold war spy camera.

I had no idea that the same CCJ that is the cloaca of the internet was the author of the silly Coolidge book.

The editorial reviews of this on Amazon are a wingnut “who’s who”.

336 lawhawk  Sep 5, 2014 3:52:35pm

There’s some debate on the lens. It’s definitely an Exacta body, but the lens appears to have been adapted for the Exacta (scroll all the way to the bottom).

Did anyone here see “Rear Window” when it first came out? I think I saw it on its second run; Hitchcock movies were very popular back then. “North by Northwest” was one of my favs.

re: #219 Rightwingconspirator

Article says this was Congressional change to the oath in 2013 so why blame the USAF?

No, it doesn’t. Read the article again (my bold).

There has been some suggestion in some of the reading I’ve done on this case since first learning of it last night that the oath was changed by Congress some time last year, thus requiring a change in the Air Force regulations. However, the preliminary research I’ve been able to do indicates that the ‘so help me God’ language has been part of the statutes since at least 2011, if not earlier. Despite the statute, though, the service branches have each apparently adopted regulations that state that an enlistee can be given the option of omitting that language if it is contrary to their beliefs, which is an important point not only for people who might be atheists but also for certain sects of Christianity that have objections to swearing to an oath.
….
There are apparently comparable versions of this regulation, and the opt-out provision in the last sentence, for the Navy and the Marine Corps. There was also apparently a similar opt-out provision in the comparable Air Force regulation until its most recent revision in October 2013 at which point it was removed for reasons that haven’t been made clear at this point.

I wasn’t born for a couple of years yet, but I did see it when the Hitchcock estate re-released it in the eighties, along with To Catch A Thief and Vertigo, and again a decade or so later in much improved prints. I have the dvds, but they must be seen on the big screen to be truly appreciated.

VistaVision rules, especially in the hands of a master like Hitch and his crew of incredible technicians.

re: #335 EPR-radar

This is too funny. From an Amazon review of CCJ’s Coolidge book:

Charles C. Johnson’s first book is best described as a home run on the first pitch. Charles is a brilliant young man who has the potential to be to his generation what William F. Buckley Jr. was to his, or at last what Alex P. Keaton was to mine. But seriously, his blogging during his undergraduate years at Claremont McKenna parallel Buckley’s God and Man at Yale and his aggressive intellect positions him to be the man who stands athwart history yelling stop! It’s only fitting that he’s chosen Calvin Coolidge as his subject because “standing athwart” is what Coolidge was all about.

Words fail.

I’m not curious enough to go searching, but it seems that the blond Fox newsreaders started wearing sleeveless stuff after 2009,,,

North by Northwest is my personal fave of Hitch’s flicks, with Shadow of A Doubt in second place. It has everything: suspense, comedy, intrigue, parody, and the great Cary Grant.
