New Details on Palin Family’s Drunken Brawl: It Started When Track Was Mackin’

“Bend them over on the lawn”
Weird • Views: 44,753

From Jeanne Devon at the Mudflats blog, new even-more-sordid details on the now famous Palin family drunken brawl: You Want the Palin Brawl? Here It Is.

The Palins arrived at the party, but not just Sarah and Todd who were the only actual invitees from the clan - the whole fan-damnily and some other tagalong friends from Wasilla turned up in a stretch Hummer limo. Because, of course they did. The party was an adult and relaxed event, with most guests at least in their 30s. Reports have come in that Track got into a fight with an ex-boyfriend of Willow’s. But according to my source, the initial fight started when Track and his buddy were aggressively pursuing… how shall I put this… “romantic relations” with some female guests. They were allegedly explicit and crude in their depictions of what they’d like to do with and to the ladies, expressing a desire to “bend them over on the lawn,” according to my source. Apparently the lawn was large enough to include places one could be “bent over.”

Hey. You guys wanted this… don’t look at me.

As Track and his companion were wooing the ladies with honeyed words, certain individuals took exception to it - namely the husbands of the women in question, whose presence right there with their wives the whole time was no deterrent to our confident and ambitious Casanovas from the Mat-Su.

Track did not fare well in the ensuing confrontation with the spouse. The irate husband punched Track with the full force of his annoyance, and the young Palin ended up “spread eagle lying on the grass.” You could say someone did end up bent over on the lawn, but not in the way he first envisioned.

Track’s buddies then got involved in the fracas to defend the honor of their fallen comrade, others followed, and soon Bristol Palin began to punch the host in the face for reasons we do not fully understand. Repeatedly. Then Todd showed up and joined the scrum, ending up with a bloody nose out of the deal. Did I mention that it happened to be his 50th birthday? He probably won’t forget the big 5-Ohhhh.

Then Sarah shrieked, “Don’t you know who I am?” and other such things making clear the importance of the Palins, and the lack of importance of the non-Palins to whom she was speaking. She then apparently tried to fling herself on top of the giant dog pile into the middle of the melée.

And there’s more new info; the company that fired eyewitness Eric Thompson for appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America is closely associated with Sarah Palin and received large amounts of money in government contracts when Palin was in office.

The fight ended up involving about 20 people, but eventually the police arrived, and the marauders piled into their limo and headed north to the wild lands from whence they came. But not before Track ripped his shirt off and stood in the road giving the one finger salute to departing guests. Ok, I kind of loved that part.

“Alcohol may have been a factor,” said the police report filed later.

You know, I think the cops might just be on to something there.

The Palin Family’s Side of the Anchorage Brawl Story

But according to the Palin family’s version of events, the instigator was actually the former boyfriend.

The initial tussle occurred, the source said, after the young man in question “tried to get in” to the Hummer limousine after he’d engaged in some unspecified “questionable behavior.”

Track Palin soon found himself struggling to fend off four men who had “piled on him,” according to the source.

Todd Palin then inserted himself into the brawl, which left the former “First Dude” of Alaska bleeding.

What about the remaining Crown Colonies? What about treasury division and control of revenue from North Sea production?

Actually many on the left in England want Scotland to get independence. Certainly those who have thought more deeply on it than simply the effect on the electoral chances of Labour in the next election. It would almost immediately force the issue of the north-south inequalities within that country itself, and would definitely lead to discussion of a fairer more federal system. This is already beginning to happen. Also, it would force serious, deep soul searching change in the labour movement, whose leadership has betrayed it’s principles, backing Tory austerity, and even starting to sound more like UKIP every day on immigration.

As for nuclear weapons currently they are ALL on Scottish soil. You and rUK will be getting them ALL the FUCK out of here as quickly as can be managed when we get independence. Hope that answers your question :)

Many on the left in England are idiots if they think that such a “discussion” will even occur, much less be beneficial.

Plus, what you are accomplishing is simply in unbinding the London city-state from effective governance in order to rape and pillage at will, which, ironically, will happen to Scotland earliest in the process.

Yay freedom. Scots fucked up America with their tribalism in Southern and Appalachian regions, and now intend to fuck the world economically by ceding control over rapacious London banksters. They’ll go back to being impoverished shepherd, but there’ll be some facile form of freedom all while they pay rents to financiers.

I’ve occasionally thought we should. The rest of the country would be glad to see us go. Like New York in the States everybody outside Toronto hates the city. If you ask them why they can’t answer.

My wife and I had dinner with some friends last night. One had done a bit of travelling visiting friends elsewhere in the country over the summer. The first thing she noted was how the places she visited just kind of appeared under her plane. These are supposed to be major cities as well. “Country, country, country, Edmonton,” was how she described it. Flying into Toronto you fly over the city for a few minutes before landing, and the airport is outside the city.

She also noted that Toronto is much, much more diverse than Canada’s other cities, even Montreal. She was a teacher until recently and she noted that there are almost eighty recognizable ethnic groups/nationalities serviced by The Toronto School board.

I suspect our size and diversity might contribute to our being disliked so much. My current weak hypothesis anyway.

As far as Scottish independence goes there was an interesting editorial in one of our major papers this morning on the subject. It sums up my thoughts fairly well.

I know, I just find it completely idiotic that Bryan thinks the reason Americans can get bacon in a restaurant is because we’re a so called Christian nation. Please. Like he gives a shit about any sort of historical, practical reason for the lack of bacon-y things in other religions. Using his logic we could be a whole lot of things besides Christian because of bacon allowances. People like bacon and it sells well, that’s pretty much why you can find it all over the place in America. Capitalism baby, capitalism, that’s what we are over pretty much anything else.

Parasite infestation in warmer countries made pigs an unclean animal. It was a practical decision enforced by religion.

Husbandry of swine by nomadic tribes is also problematic.

My personal pet theory (according to what I’ve read) is that that pork and human flesh have similar taste, thus making pork taboo among certain cultures.

Other cultures didn’t have that taboo, as the Beche-de-Mer term for cooked human flesh is “long pig.”

The difficulty in ordering bacon in Israel and in Muslim countries generally isn’t legal, it’s practical. A restaurant has to have non-observant or at least willing staff, separate refrigerators, cookware and utensils to deal with the treif.

Also, there has to be a market for it, so unless there’s a lot of tourism or a significant expat community generating demand it’s not going to happen.

Not true in Dubai. All that’s required is separate handling and prep facilities. Here’s the municipal code. It’s hard to find a restaurant that serves pork, and mostly they’re Japanese themed, but the law doesn’t mandate any kind of strict separation. In expat zones the supermarkets serve pork in a separate area marked for non-muslims, but there’s no id check required to purchase it as there is with alcohol.

The separation is mostly practical.

“In the past several years, meat’s use as a way to enhance the flavor of foods has increased exponentially,” said Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns. “Ketchup is still number one, but at the rate people are putting meat on top of other meats and foods, it may very well surpass it by 2010.”

‘Django Unchained’ actress claims she was cuffed for showing public affection

Los Angeles (CNN) — “Django Unchained” actress Daniele Watts says Los Angeles police allegedly detained her because they thought she was a prostitute.

Watts, who is African-American, and her white boyfriend accuse police of racism for questioning them after they were seen showing affection in public.
[…]
“Two people were briefly detained, but it was revealed no crime had been committed,” Medera said.

The man was not handcuffed, but the woman was, according to the couple.

The alleged racial-profiling incident happened on a sidewalk near the gate of the CBS Studio Center in Studio City on Thursday.

Good Newsweek article on why Saudi Arabia isn’t doing anything:

Western technicians at Dhahran Air Base like to joke that the only aircraft the Saudis can keep in the air by themselves is a model of a British Tornado on a pedestal at the gates.

Indeed, the entire Saudi military arsenal—including the world’s biggest fleet of American F-15s outside of the U.S. and Japan—couldn’t function without the several hundred mostly American and British technicians who keep the royal family’s tanks, ships, artillery and warplanes in working order. As with everything else in the Saudi economy, from servants to oil field workers, the Saudis just don’t “do” such hands-on work.

newsweek.com

The same goes for Saudi ground troops: There are officers, and there are grunts (not all of them Saudis), and nothing in-between. The concept of a corps of sergeants actually running things, is, well, foreign, to the desert kingdom’s rulers, for a variety of tribal and cultural reasons. But as any Western general knows, an army wins (or doesn’t) on the strength of its sergeants, the blue-collar guys down below the colonels, majors and lieutenants who prod the grunts and make sure things get done. And it’s the sergeants who do the training.

This was a good primer for me as I wondered why they weren’t stepping up, they can’t

Without justifying the police response, which was abhorrent, the reason they didn’t cuff her husband is because he acquiesced and showed them his ID. She refused to do so, which was absolutely within her rights. The police had no justifiable reason at all to demand either of them ID themselves, since their fucked up baseless suspicions aren’t actually evidence of any wrongdoing. Also cuffing her but not him still shows some kind of assholish bias, either due to race or gender, in that since they were operating under the idea he was a John it’s not clear why him showing his ID should result in different treatment than she got.

re: #211 goddamnedfrank

Lucas said police threatened to call an ambulance and have Watts drugged for being “psychologically unstable” before they realized who she was.

This part is really messed up. The cops falsely accused of and arrest her for prostitution with no evidence whatsoever, and then when she gets upset like any innocent person would they threaten to have her further restrained, stuck with needles and sedated against her will.

I’m curious whether the same assholes who justify racial profiling in stopping nice cars with young male black drivers (“Hey, they know the likelihood is higher that the car’s stolen than if it was a white guy!”) would justify this similarly (“Hey, they know the likelihood that a hot young black woman in shorts kissing a white guy is a prostitute is higher than a hot young white woman in shorts.”)

Robert James Talbot Jr., 38, of Katy, Texas, was arrested by U.S. agents Thursday after an eight-month federal probe as he was about to rob an armored car with inert explosives provided to him by informants who had entered his group, according to a criminal complaint filed in a U.S. federal court in Houston.

Talbot provided a manifesto to his accomplices, which included the informants. It read: “We must rebel. Blood and bullets are the only two things that will change this world, short of divine action,” the complaint said.

re: #227 Backwoods_Sleuth

I thought for sure I was losing Doorframe this summer, and it was heart breaking after all he had been through being abandoned by his previous owners and then going through the partial amputation of his rear paw.
He was doing so well recovering from the surgery and fitting it sort of ok with the current feline/canine indoor household.
Then, he suddenly started losing a startling amount of weight, stopped grooming himself and became a full-body matt. He staggered and fell over a lot, his eyes and breathing were horrible.
It took over a month, but a couple of weeks ago, he’s back about 80%. Eyes are clear, healthy appetite, putting on some weight, coat looks better (still some matts to work on, but he doesn’t look so dirty), and he begs for people food the minute he smells some tasty.
Sometimes his gait is yet a bit unsteady; I suspect his time left with us is short, but he will leave when he’s ready and know that his last days were safe and comfortable and that he was well loved.

Good Newsweek article on why Saudi Arabia isn’t doing anything:

newsweek.com

This was a good primer for me as I wondered why they weren’t stepping up, they can’t

Good article, though I’ve read longer ones that explain things in more detail.

One thing the article leaves out is the weaknesses in the Saudi military are also points on which Iran is fairly strong. Though the Iranians don’t have NCOs with the same level of authority that Anglosphere sergeants do, their NCOs have enough to do their jobs. What’s more, Iran has always maintained its own equipment, even under the Shah that was true. And in part because of those first two factors, Iranian forces tend to be much better trained than any Arab units expect those of Jordan.

As a result, and because of the Shia-Sunni divide, Saudi Arabia’s leaders are normally scared half to death of Iran.

The FBI remains very good at drawing in would-be terrorists and then busting them. It’s what John Schindler calls ‘provocation’ and in his response to Obama’s ISIS speech he goes into some detail.

(The piece also contains some fascinating historical facts, perhaps the most interesting of which is that J. Edgar Hoover’s infamous CONINTELPRO was not only aimed at African-American and left-wing organizations; One of the program’s greatest successes was in crippling the Ku Klux Klan in Alabama.)

Haha, didn’t see this til just now— ok, let’s dance motherfucker! We begin:

short on detail as to why Westminster could be motivated to assume any of these long term responsibilities if Scotland takes it’s ball and goes home.

Are you ignorant of the simple fact that if Scotland ‘takes its ball and goes home’ Westminster will have fuck all to do with Scotland? Isn’t that what this is about?

And why do you argue that it’s somehow Scotland’s responsibility to help keep England (esp London) in check? As here:

Which, of course, puts transnational bankers in control of the financing package so they can gut Scotland like they did Ireland.

Didn’t you just argue upthread that it’s only wee Scotland keeping London bankers in check? Why yes, you did! PS You do know that the Republic of Ireland isn’t part of the UK, right? Idiot.

A corporate superstructure transcending government control is being midwifed into being across the English speaking world.

Oh ma GAWD— so the real danger of an independent Scotland is that it’s too closely aligned with a ‘corporate superstructure’? Who the fuck do you think you’re kidding?

I look forward to your rebuttal, no doubt steeped in your deep knowledge of Scotland and its people.

By the way, polls have shown that the more people know about the debate, the more likely they are to vote ‘Yes’, so I can understand why you might not want to keep talking. :)
