One of the most ridiculous tactics right wingers use to “demonstrate” President Obama’s supposed narcissism is to count the number of times he uses the word “I” in a speech. It’s such an absurd, brain dead meme I can hardly believe they’re still parroting it — but they are! They really are! And the latest to blurt out this silliness is none other than Charles Krauthammer, who is totally skewered for it by Stephen Colbert in this clip.

That was priceless. Krauthammer really is a much bigger narcissist than Obama is. The whole Obama and “I” meme is stupid as hell. But this is Krauthammer who once blamed Obama for it raining the day of his DNC speech.

Ok so I did some research and found out what Bryan Fischer was prattling on about.

He’s referring to a practice by same sex couples married in other states who put their marriage license on record with the court even though MS does not officially recognize it.

It’s an LGBT activism thing that started a couple of months ago.

heh…
”Krauthammer is not a narcissist, he’s just kind of a dick”.

Mitch McConnell is well known as “The Turtle”, but I’ve never seen a more turtle-like face than Krauthammer’s.
Turtles of the world should be mightily insulted.

Krauthammer Disorder sounds pretty scientific to me.

I don’t think Obama is a narcissist at all. I think he is a sincerely empathetic and highly moral person. Some people have been mislabeling him as a narcissist for a long time. Even Christopher Hitchens called Obama a “megalomaniac narcissist” back in 2008.

13 Bulworth  Sep 23, 2014 1:04:52pm

Got a Daily Caller promoted tweet showing a picture purporting to be Obama getting off Air Force 1 with a coffee cup in his hand as he salutes the officers at the bottom.

Obama has to say “I” so much to remind Republicans that he’s the president and he does things.

It’s hard to look at the photos of him interacting with small children - especially babies - and think he’s a narcissist. He is incredibly genuine and completely focused on the child in all of those moments I’ve seen.

Another compelling reason to reject the Obama=narcissist business is that it comes from the US Right, where lies are the starting point for everything.

This is very true. There is just nothing narcissistic about him. I don’t know where these people get this opinion. It must be some kind of psychological projection.

Dinesh D’Souza was spared prison time today when a federal judge sentenced him to five years probation for violating campaign finance laws.

For the first eight months of his probation term, D’Souza will have to live in a “community confinement center” in San Diego, ordered Judge Richard Berman, who also fined D’Souza $30,000 and directed him to undergo “therapeutic counseling.”

[…]

“I’m not sure, Mr. D’Souza, that you get it,” said Berman, who referred to D’Souza’s claim that he was a victim of selective prosecution.

During the sentencing hearing, Berman read from a blistering letter submitted to the court by D’Souza’s estranged wife. In the missive, Dixie D’Souza alleged that her ex-spouse forged her signature on one campaign contribution form, and that he had an “abusive nature.”

D’Souza, who was married to the defendant for 20 years, wrote, “In one instance, it was my husband who physically abused me in April 2012 when he, using his purple belt karate skills, kicked me in the head and shoulder, knocking me to the ground and creating injuries that pain me to this day.”

re: #22 S’latch

It’s all code for “uppity negro who doesn’t know his place”. Period. Full Stop. It’s why they keep saying it over and over, because they cannot drop the n-bomb on TV or the op-ed pages.

This country has a metric shit ton of growing up to do. Our media is a prime culprit for perpetuating this bullshit and it’s not going to stop until people get tired enough of it.

David Vitter Suggests Obama Lied About Terror Threat To Help With Election

In an interview with Newsmax’s J.D. Hayworth today, Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana suggested that the Obama administration lied about the terror threat posed by Khorasan Group — a group of al Qaeda operatives in Syria — in order to justify airstrikes and ultimately help Democrats in the upcoming election.

“Are you afraid the administration cries wolf once too often in these situations?” Hayworth asked.

“Yes, particularly right before an election,” Vitter responded.

Later in the interview, Vitter claimed that the administration is offering public benefits to undocumented immigrants in order to “increase illegal flow into the United States with the eventual goal of making them citizens and voters and everything else.”

Is calling Obama a narcissist an act of psychological projection or an act of racism?

Maybe both.

The ancient Greek writer Xenophanes (c.c. 570 - c. 475 BC) observed that “the gods of Ethiopians were inevitably black with flat noses while those of the Thracians were blond with blue eyes.”

Tucker Carlson had a blind squirrel moment on that topic during the 08 campaign (when he was still at MSNBC) — somebody asked did he agree that Obama’s a narcissist, he said “*ALL* of them are. Every single presidential candidate, all of them. How big an ego does it take to say ‘I should be the most powerful person in the world, I deserve it, I’d be the best at it’?”

(also, I HAVE NUMBERS!! and PUNCTUATION!&@&@^!!*! turns out the phone line at the apple store is of no importance to people who aren’t buying a phone. I could go right in, grab what I wanted off the shelf, and be out the door in under 5 minutes.)
