Mike Huckabee Said He Played an Edited “Clean” Cut of Dirty Nugent Song, But He Lied

Wingnuts • Views: 27,929

Ted’s drunk on freedom, Huck’s drunk on derp.

After Huckabee slammed the President for letting his daughters listen to the “toxic mental poison” of Beyoncé’s music (which he later compared to buying a 12-year-old a stripper pole), comedian Jon Stewart confronted Huckabee on air about a time when he played the bawdy song “Cat Scratch Fever” with firearm enthusiast Ted Nugent on national television.

In an interview published Wednesday by the Christian Post, Huckabee said he thought Nugent had performed a tamer version of the song.

“First of all, Ted changed the lyrics pretty dramatically when he sang it on the stage that time,” Huckabee told the Christian Post.

Video of the broadcast shows that Nugent did not dial back the sexual content of the song, which included such lines as “I make the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand.”

In fact, in a moment of improvisation on “Huckabee,” Nugent did appear to change some lyrics in the chorus, belting, at 8:00 in the video below: “I like to scratch that…” The word that follows is unclear.

OK, well, playing a “clean” version of a sexually explicit song sung by a misanthropic bottomfeeder make it alright, I guess.

So having kids which listen to Beyonce makes the Obama’s bad parents, but raising a kid who tortured and killed a stray dog for fun makes Huck a good one?

4 Wendell Zurkowitz (slave to the waffle light)  Jan 22, 2015 10:47:38am

I assume that Huckabee would have retitled Ted’s song “Stormtroopin” to “Occupation Forces to Help Facilitate Democratic Regime Change”

Classless, tasteless tripe served hot and steaming like the deuce Ted dropped in his drawers. Mike Huckabee, loved for his Christian values of “LET THE BITCH DIE” and other assorted affronts to humanity, along with his soulmate Ted “Let me grab that” Nugent, roll in the stink of a sleazy rock and roll ditty to titty and claim there is no shame in grasping underage flesh. How better to provide jobs and improve the economy than ignoring both since taking power? That’s right. No jobs bills. No infrastructure bills.

Just pushing misogynistic legislation and “small” government so small that it will be ramrodded into lady bits, whether they want it or not.

The GOP is all about providing more rights to a fetus than they are about providing support for any person living, especially women and minorities (see also no minimum wage hike, equal pay legislation, anti-discrimination laws, civil rights act and voting rights act, etc.)

Here’s the Speech Barrett Brown Will Deliver at His Sentencing

35 lawhawk  Jan 22, 2015 11:13:52am

Not without a sense of… irony:

The same people who say that the unborn are on their own (allowing abortions to occur) also couldn’t give a hoot what happens the moment that they’re out of the womb. The GOP will slash and burn the safety net for those least able to afford it, and will make it impossible to climb out of poverty by not bothering to increase the minimum wage that has long lagged the cost of living and would need a much larger jump to bring it in line with the minimum wage of the 60s/70s. The GOP will slash and burn food stamps, and impose drug testing (the contracts for which will cost far more than any money actually saved by catching someone who is using an illegal drug), and otherwise ignore the subsidies that go to the rich.

The same GOPers who support all that also have no problem calling for regressive tax schemes or redistributive wealth policies that further enhance the income of the wealthy while shifting tax burdens on to those least able to afford it. But they dare anyone call what the GOP is doing class warfare (which it is).

/rant off.

The GOP doesn’t have the support of any popular musicians, but they still want to pretend to be cool, when they’re the opposite, so they latch onto a draft-dodging has-been like Nugent because people used to think he was cool. A lot of Republicans are so locked in the past, they may actually believe that The Nuge is still popular outside their insular cult.

Not sure about that - my impression is that insurance companies mostly go through a regulated process of setting premiums that takes into account their expenditures on procedures. So in this case, if procedure expenditures go up, they would just increase premiums.

Think about it this way - if the US system actually discouraged medical procedures, our system would look more like Europe’s where there’s more of a focus on (cheaper) preventive care. The fact that we’re biased the other way suggests that insurance companies aren’t incentivized to discourage use of medical services, and in fact are incentivized to do the opposite.

But - not an expert so take that for what it’s worth.

My understanding of the ACA was that there was a great more focus on preventative care (annual physicals, PAP smears, colon testing, shots and the like are free, 100% covered, no deductible). And it doesn’t matter what the cost calculation is…it’s a matter of whether that is used.

If a woman does not get pregnant and give birth, that is about $10k the insurance company does not have to shell out…which means that there is more profit for that period.

Paying for birth control saves insurance companies a ton of money.

This is the US. Profit is king.
